  • There’s an issue between the speakers and the DVD player system. This is just a temporary solution!!! I guess I need to replace my rear entertainment system. Any other way to fix this? Can you help me to save some money? Thx

    Thank you! Did the trick. My kids are out of house and no longer taking road trips with us so no need for the DVD player.

    This worked for my 2012 Toyota Sienna Limited. Dealer was asking for over $1200 dollars to replace system. I pried open the cover from the four corners with a flat screwdriver and disconnected the cable as shown in the video. I haven't used the rear DVD in many years. Now the radio and CD player are working. Thanks.

    I had the same problem in a 2011 Sienna. And it worked. Your comment about how to remove the panel was really helpful. Thanks a bunch.

    2012 Siena…worked immediately. Some discs got jammed in my DVD player, and I’ve had no audio ever since. Makes sense that disconnecting the dvd audio would be a quick fix.
    Thank you so much 🤟🏼🤟🏼 No more Bluetooth speakers in the cup holder 🤣

    RESOLVED!!!
    After first trying fuses, then replacing Multimedia Interface - I purchased a replacement rear entertainment screen (Part# 594-01304) from eBay (paid around $125). Swapped it out in about 10 minutes (the MMI took hours of taking the dash apart and back together - so I wish I did this first!) and it just fired right up and started playing. DVD tab came back to the menu, audio fixed, and remote & headphones just work.
    Glad to have it fixed, and hope this will help others! EASY FIX!

      @danduv1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@feliponii9940 Yes, that resolved this issue. Still works great. Fairly inexpensive fix, and took no time at all to swap it out! Be careful of not breaking fasteners as most Toyota dealers don't inventory them (so it takes several days if you do break them to get them).

    Thank you Carlos, this fix worked for me, restored my AM, FM, and Blue Tooth sounds.
    I was wondering if:
    Anyone found a thread showing how we can repair the rear enterteinment system (it seems like paying a ferw hundred $ from E-bay, the problem is bound to happen again).
    Also wondering if some of you are also having other potentially related electrical issues:
    zero of four of my rear passenger dome lights are working.
    I checked each fuse in both fuse boxes, all good.

    I came across this after my 2009 XLE started not having audio and the volume knob and steering wheel controls not working (possible after needing a jump start, not sure if it's related). Tried everything and checked all the fuses, found nothing wrong. Then I decided to try the DVD player. To my surprise when I inserted a disc the audio came on. My DVD player is working but not through the car audio system, but through the headjacks. My car audio (FM, AM, CD player) won't have any audio unless the DVD player is on!? I came across this TH-cam when I am trying to search for answers?!
