Thanks for this video! Thanks to another video, I was able to determine that the issue was with the DVD player. When I put a DVD in, it would play sound momentarily on the radio. I was trying to figure out a good way to disconnect the DVD player without taking the entire dash apart. With this vid, I simply disconnected the screen and that worked! Thanks again!
I have a similar problem where when there is a dvd in the player the radio will still turn off for a few minutes at a time. Seems to happen usually when I make a turn for some reason
I got the radio to work by putting a cd in the DVD player. So I believe that narrowed it down to most likely the screen itself. I also purchased from a scrap yard that allowed me a money-back guarantee and if it did not work, I was going to return it.
hello, a question i just bought the sienna 2011 limited, my question is to turn on and manipulate the original dvd it deals with a control, i insert a dvd disc and nothing happens
Mine is the same but seems rattles while driving. From looking at the hinge you removed, could it be tightened? How about the clips? Could the clips be manipulated?
I just bought a 2011 sienna and it has the same problem with the dvd player everything else seems to be working. Is a remote mandatory to use with this?
Mine has a broken screen... literally can't see anything on the cracked screen. Kids were so excited about having a DVD Player, till they saw it didn't work. Was wondering how to get it replaced. Thanks for the help!
I bought a 2007 Sienna recently and the CD player / GPS system worked fine.. Pulled my DVD screen down and its says disc check but nothing happens.. I also boughtthe rca to apple charger I.ls.see if I coudl get a picture on input but nothing. Then all of a sudden my stereo quit working as well the lights on the. Buttons will come on for a second randomly the whole time driving. It's making weird noises the whole time you drive.. Sounds like a CD is stuck in there S well.. Anyone have this happen and does anyone ha e any good new for me lol
Mi guagua no prende el dvd pero el radio solo funciona con un dvd intalado y algunas veces se va el sonido y luego vuelve en forma de pausa yo compre la guagua y no me ha funcionado como se prende el dvd con el control

It is pretty easy to work on. You could take it apart and see if the bolts need to be tightened, or if the clips could be adjusted.

You should be able to use the controls at the radio to control it without a remote.

Did you have the existing remote for the DVD player?
I had the original remote that came with the van. It worked with the replacement DVD player.

2007 Limited has no picture and dvd stuck inside but can hear music playing from dvd….will try removing and getting dvd out and see what happens
