I wont to Bob my v star 650. Problem is im in love with the way it looks now. Can I keep my original seat and buy an after market rear guard? Im going to place the break light under the rear guard. and add led indicators just b4 the end of the rear tyre facing the rider . Im also going to strip the front guard and leave it raw.... or get a small replacement

These new LED turn signals have a frequency of about 120 times per minute. This is not allowed in Germany and the EU. They are only allowed to flash about 60-90 times a minute. For this, resistors or a new relay must be installed, because the original relay wants to see at least 21 watts. But the new turn signals only have about 1-2 watts. In your case, it could even have been that your new turn signals would have only shown steady light. … But anyway, you made a good job. … Best regards from Germany.

Maybe the mounts would have looked better the other way around, do the cables would be hidden behind the forks... Looks good nonetheless!

superb bike, I love your handlebars, did you need to modify the cables? Is it good with the original cables?

They're actually a stock option. I've been able to find them on Partzilla.com for about $135

Your turn signals only had two wires. What did you do with the black wire. Because of the two wires I now have nothing connected to the black wire in the headlight housing. When i just hook the blue and green or blue and brown i get a hazard lights effect. Because theres no 3rd wire.

I may have them in my garage? I'll be at the Gearhead Get Together in Maple Lake, MN this weekend, I'll have all my spare motorcycle parts, if you're in the area

If the original going to the headlight is 3 wires and the new blinkers are 2 wires I guess I am lost as to how they connect

There is the main turn signal wire, the running light wire, and the ground. I only used the turn signal wire and ground, and spliced those together. Hope this helps!

Definitely grab a test light or Volt meter and see if you have power and ground at the light socket. All those wires get confusing too

Probably JIS not Philips. That's why so many screw heads are messed up.

Not a huge fan of the turn signals… they look a little bit sporty for my taste in cruisers. But to each their own. Love the handlebar option, and your headlight looks more streamlined than mine.
I plan to cut the stock light bar down short to tighten up the front end.
I would highly suggest checking out the website 650ccnd.com
They have the best library of DIY mods for your bike and a great forum to match.
    Ride safe out there!
