The whole point of the movie was for zoey to get on the plane. When the therapist asked zoey in the beginning of the movie what it would take for her to get on a plane, she said she wanted menos to be behind bars. Thats exactly what menos made her believe.

I feel like I just watched a totally different movie than everybody else because I saw no Amanda. What I saw was Ben and Zoey escaped with the help of Claire but it turned out she was a psycho child and the movie would be setting her up to be the next game master

I never would have dreamed that Amanda survived the fall or was a part of the game designing. I’m not sure if they planned that when they made the first movie but the only thing that gives a hint she was a part of the game creation was when the man who collected cell phones in the first film said “thank you for your service.” He was thanking her for her service to Minos.
IMO she would’ve stayed dead if Escape Room fans hadn’t gotten so upset over it and decided that if you didn’t see it, it didn’t happen. They were begging the writers to revive her.

@@samuellee8114 Whether Amanda lives or dies depends on which one you watch. There’s an extended version and a shorter version. The shorter version revives Amanda and the longer one brings in a new character.

It was actually a good ending, movie was hit and miss in places, but the ending was nice
I’m literally a genius! I called the ending. Like in the beginning I turned to my friend and was like ya know I feel like the therapist has a big part in this. Especially talking about getting on a plane so much

I'm so confused. The version of the movie I saw is completely different from this. It starts by showing this little girl named Claire and her mother dies in 2003. Then it jumps to present day where she's being held prisoner by her father and he's running the games. Then the entire last half is nothing like in this video. Zoey wakes up and is with Claire in her room and helps her escape, then they capture her father and save Ben from being killed the same are her mother. Then Zoey is reunited with Ben and they leave in an ambulance while Claire is revealed to be the main villain and is planning even more sadistic games. She kills her dad and then the movie ends. I didn't see anything with the therapist or Amanda. I feel like I watched a totally different movie somehow. Did anyone else watch the version I did?

I strongly believe that there will a third installment and the directors better tell where Nathan went. At the beginning of the movie i really thought that there was something fishy about the guy always risking his life as if he knows how the games go, I thought he was the game master disguising himself as a player.
I honestly think that's just how he was. I think because he was a priest he had is faith in God and that's why he kept risking everything but then again I watched a different version so idk

There are 2 different versions for those confused. In the cinematic one, Amanda is in it and there is no Claire. For streaming they released a directors cut with Claire. It’s super weird but I prefer the cinematic version. If you’re in the UK and have Prime then that’s the version where Amanda is in it 👍 hope this helps!!

There are 2 versions - the theatrical cut and the extended cut. The producers didn't like how the box office turned out for the theatrical release, so they made an extended cut, essentially added new scenes and altered the storyline and ending. The digital release on Netflix and other streaming platforms is the extended cut.

I like this version because they end up on the plane from the other film, basically her therapist asks what it would take to get Zoe on that plane and she says for the people behind the escape room to be caught or something like that, so later in the film when it looks like they escaped and are talking to the police they both think they are safe which makes Zoe ready to go on the plane but the plane is a trap because she sees items from her therapists office and she realises the police was all fake and just away for them to get her on the plane

You explained the movie, not the ending...what did the Minos guy on the plane say when the oxygen masks were deployed & what did he mean by it?
this channel is mostly the same. they just explain what happened in the movie and don't explain how and why really the ending happened
what the minos guy said was " so tell me zoey did you think you could escape, the games dont end until we say they do. " What he meant was zoey couldnt escape that easily and she would never ever leave until they said the games were over or gave her permission. So that means when zoey was on the plane and she said " they let us get away so easily. " she was correct the entire time.
I like the extended cut version more. If anyone gets a chance please watch that version

theres still hope, she couldve either been in on it the entire time, or survived the acid rain somehow, and who knows, maybe after she survived, she was pulled into a similar room like zoey where minos wants her to become the next puzzle maker, and instead of denying it like zoey, she accepts it.
@@Alex-gg4fh I’m waiting for the death scene to drop so I can look at it in more detail, but it looked like Rachel ether went to get under the taxi or to cover Brianna. I really hope they lived because I feel like the trailer showed to much leading up to there death. I could be wrong just hoping, because Rachel was a very selfless, caring and intelligent character that I could see playing a part in any of the next movies. :)

I think it’s because they have people embedded everywhere. Just like they mentioned in the video; it takes some high level connections to pull this off.
If Minos is powerfull enough to make subways and high jack a plane. They are powerful enough to get their tournament of champions

in the cinema cause i watch how to cinema vesion today and he had a whole new ending that your talking about and i was confused becuase in the cinema they get on a plane at the end and turns out it was another escape room. in cinema amanda came back and she was the creator of this movies rooms so maybe it was confusing so they changed it to this ending. idk it just confused me cause i seen the original

@@Alex-gg4fh Expanding on Nico’s point, I hear that people who die in low temperatures have a higher chance of being revived than those who die in high ones. Yes, if you didn’t see it, it didn’t happen. But also bear in mind that you’re not dead until you’re warm and dead.
Amanda survived the fall, and was forced to design game for the survivors.. what if the game master in the first movie played Escape Room and somehow died at least in front of his competitors but actually designed the rooms for Zoey's Escape Room!!! 🤯
And even in the ending the plane seems to have control of Minos.. is there really a NO WAY OUT!!!
guys in the original ending claire said "when you see what i can really do" so i think that there will be a third installment but claire is the one going to be in charge i hate to say it but she's going to be the villain i like claire she killed the person that was responsible for all of the suffering that ben and zoey had experienced she helped ben and zoey but she still wanted to make more rooms so that she can prove that she was smarter than both of her parents but i think she will turn the intensity down because she knows that ben and zoey are still going to come back and maybe after the third one is where the series truly ends
it's kinda dumb because at the end ben got to survive because they didn't see him die but the didn't see the priest "die" ether but he never returned.

I'm Currently Waiting for Escape Room 3,4,5,6.
Before the continuation, we would need some Prequels of the other 4 past winners with their own escape rooms adventures.
With that being said, Escape Room 7 would be the closing statement for the Saga. And for the closing, the duration will need to be a Lot longer, which presumably around 2hr 30mn for the ultimate satisfaction of the Escaping Saga.

The extended cut (original version) is WAY more fun. The theatrical cut (reshoot) ending was so straight forward and an obvious rushed reshoot. The extended cut is campy fun with a twist and fits the movies "don't take me seriously" vibe much better. I'm kinda disappointed the studio probably won't continue on from the Isabelle Fuhrman cut, if a 3rd movie ever happens.
I loved it… I feel like it could have been longer because it just cut after the plane scene…. I don’t know how they are gonna do the 3rd movie

Something else that ticked me was how they showed them talking about Amanda’s daughter cause that didn’t happen in the actual movie and they played it out to make it seem like her and Amanda were sooo close when in reality they weren’t.

I think (and this is just my theory) we know that Minos was always watching what was happening through the cameras placed in the rooms. And as far as we know, the ice room was the room the characters spent the longest time in (due to all the time jumps) so we don’t know how much time characters spent in that room overall. Clearly it seemed Zoey and Amanda had some form of bond from the clip they showed at the beginning of Escape Room 2. And out of all the characters, Amanda and Zoey were the only two that formed any bond at all. Since the Upside Down room was right after the Ice Room (where Amanda and Zoey got closer) if Minos was already deciding to possibly have Zoey as a future Puzzle Maker, they may have wanted to collect some bait if Zoey didn’t end of falling in the Upside Down room herself. And when they saw in those final moments that Amanda was on the phone cord, they could have caused it to break prematurely so they could capture her to use in the future.
This is just my thoughts though.

I didn't like how the plane ride part was in the trailer. No movie should have an ending scene in the trailer. Of course early in the movie you know she is afraid to fly. Before watching the movie i thought maybe a plane would be part of the game somehow. But then when no plane was shown until the very end- its obvious the twist in the preview is coming up. So the preview gave too much info and ruined any suspense for me

Well I am wondering why they change the plot alot I mean I saw Isabella Fuhrman and James frain but when I saw the moive in the first I did not see any of them but now you decided to put extended cut ending on the DVD version why I mean amanda story line is a way better and make sence to the third part and the people like it but after I had saw wiki the reason they do that the critics did not like the the development of the storyline like mions was a mystery but the critics say that they need to know more about it

ive watched the movie then watched some endings explained and was confused everyone was talking about amanda and stuff but mine ended with zoe falling into the house of the boss and helping his daughter cause she saved her i never saw the plane scene and im confused cause there are 2 different ending rooms
and in the beginning they showed the creators of minos and the daughter from minos is what the rooms are based on i dont get it why its so different
