I watched this movie for the first time last night, whilst I didn't enjoy it - it was so intense. I did enjoy how there were very little dialogue and the strangers barely spoke. It made me uncomfortable in a good way. I loved the line "Because you were home." Such a spine chilling line because this could've happened to anyone, I guess I expected more but hey that's on me.
This is film a horrifying, heartbreaking, suspenseful slow-burn that just stays with you. It is a fantastic horror film. The sequel was pretty entertaining as well. Those characters are even solidified as iconic in Cabin in the Woods.

I could agree but the stupid decisions of the characters ruin the whole thing. Someone is knocking on our door after 1AM so let's gladly open it and not call the police or arm ourselves with the two shotguns. After that why not go outside and separate, of course. The second time someone knocks on the door and the woman is alone she again doesn't arm or barricade herself. Instead of not calling the police FOR THE SECOND TIME why not call my stupid boyfriend who just left me alone in the middle of nowhere at 2AM after a creepy girl knocked on our door and tell him to come back so he can "protect me" or whatever.. I'm sure he'll be very helpful.
I always laugh when Mike gets his face blown off. You know Man In Mask was right behind him. He didn't know anyone found a gun. He had to have shit his pants 🤣

The thing that annoyed me the most was the fact that they had a shotgun with more than enough ammo and still didn’t make it out alive.
Also Mike has to be one of the dumbest characters in a horror flick ever. He pulls up to the house on his phone, a brick comes thru his windshield and he just silently walks into the house with the hacked up door without calling out for his friends?
It just follows the stupid victims in horror movies format too closely.
I can finally sleep now that the ending to this 13 year old movie is explained 😪

I enjoyed watching this movie, but I felt like it lacked in places, I wanted more out of it, could've been much better.

Anyone else catch that she was crawling away from her husband towards the friend? She wasn't trying to escape but goto her friend. I'm thinking that the proposal went bad because she had a thing with his friend.

I don't think so. She refused the proposal because she wasn't ready. There's a scene where she says "I'm not ready"

Exactly. The point of this movie is there isn't the slightest morality or reason. They come to your house and kill you for literally no reason, they have a number advantage, they sneak behind you, they don't fight face to face, they don't feel guilt...
