- Hey guys what’s happening? Niyat here with film comics explained, and as voted for by everyone in the latest poll, today we’ll be exploring Escape Room - the 2019 psychological horror directed by Adam Robitel.
Starring Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, Deborah Ann Woll, Tyler Labine, Nik Dodani, and Jay Ellis - it follows a group of strangers that are sent to navigate a series of escape rooms.
Receiving a mysterious invitation to win $10,000 by solving intricate puzzles and breaking out of an escape room, they get to work only to discover the dangers in the elaborately made compartments were real.
Locked in puzzling rooms with extreme conditions, they must remember their past, use their wit and conquer their fear to find a way out to safety. However, the odds are very much against them.

We'd spend the entire time arguing about a misinterpretation of something that isn't even part of a puzzle.
I really liked this movie and I'm glad to see that it's slowly becoming a modern cult classic. I felt like the filmmakers really were trying to make an entertaining and interesting take.

Yeah I know in a lot of movies like this they'll offer you all this prize money and I'm always thinking to myself. You know that nobody's going to offer you that kind of money and whatever they want you to do is going to be easy.
I still have hope that they make a third film with Zoe and Ben coming face to face with the ultimate game master and taking him or her out.
It was a box office success, but recieved mixed reviews by Critics.
They even released a sequel, Escape Room 2: Tournament Of Champions.
A third film is in production, but it might take a year or two to be in theaters.
I never even heard there was a sequel. Where can I see it?

Gem of a film. Didn't expect to be as captivated as I was. That's mainly because the characters weren't dumb.

The Dutch sci-fi horror film De lift (literally "The elevator")
The first cube as good the rest were kind of bad and were almost replicas of the rest one but a little worse.
I remember watching this on FX in April 2020, during the time the whole world was shutdown because of COVID. I watched this film 3 times and it's pretty impressive.
Same and I thought it was a fever dream until you backed it up 😂
If you edit out the walls moving from that first sequence and add a laugh track, it would be a hilarious slapstick comedy.

More of a guilty pleasure than a good movie or series, but a lot of the scenes pointed out here (that I hadn't noticed) make it seem that perhaps not enough emphasis was put on certain things or events when this movie was edited. The end result was a watered down derivative of the Saw franchise that made for some even better than usual CinemaSins episodes.

This is very reminiscent of the Michael Douglas movie called The Game, very very good one of my favorite movies.
That is one of my favorites too. Layers within layers of a game that had no definitive means to win and the only way out was through. I should give it a rewatch.
Escape Room 2 Tournament of Champions has two different versions, both need to be seen if you are a fan of this franchise

One of my favorite movies
for someone who loves puzzles, but is terrible at them, this is one of those films, that does not scare me. I am afraid of death, just like anyone else, but I wouldn't be in that kind of scenario. The rules of the game don't matter. when you live by rules other people can't fathom, the rules of the game become trivial. The game masters intentions become pointless, they have to break their own rules to keep the game going. and that's how you defeat them for certain. Break the game, make the game master break the rules in such a way that he is exposed. Break him or her. when fear of death is used to push you into death too often, you gain a rage so potent that death itself avoids you for a time. Meanwhile those who want to frighten you become cowards themselves. They become afraid of you.
I originally went into this movie expecting it to be total camp
Came out honedtly surprised how good it was! Not a classic or such but definitely a solid as hell B in my eyes

This sounds interesting, but it's one of thoes movies I become uninterested on after the first 10 minutes, then I start poking holes and dread watching it.
It’s funny I don’t like when they talk through solving the puzzles but it makes sense to the viewer and if they have others trying to sort it out. But still liked them

In all honesty, having experienced numerous things that supposedly are “nonsense” or “don’t exist” according to the main stream sheep, something like this being real I wouldn’t doubt for a minute. I’m not saying that these types of sick games are definitely real, but it genuinely wouldn’t shock me if they were
Any publicity at all in the real world though and some shits gonna go down, engineering a building of this magnitude and keeping it hidden for more then a few games where people disappear and can be tracked going there right before last being seen. It would only take time. At the very least it couldn't be a high rise

It's hard to hear you with that annoying suspense music in the background
The music you use in the background is too loud it muffles your voice and the vibration of it gives me a headache. I used to love your videos but can't make it past the 1st few seconds anymore.
