Thank you for doing this. I just finished Wing, Zeta, 0083, and the original series, and I did not have the energy to start another series. The ending of zeta really put a pit in my stomach. Finding out that Kamille was mentally crippled, after developing into such a good character made me feel sad for him. He ended up becoming my favorite character so far in all the series I’ve watched. I’m glad he got happy a ending, but I wished they followed up more with what happened to him, rather than just show. I guess it’s left up to interpretation.
Minor note, Kamille did not burn out on his newtype powers. Scirocco hit him with a newtype mental attack which he can now do that reduced Kamille to the mental state of a 4 year old.
@@simplynewtype Scirocco said he wouldn't go alone. Didn't you notice the blue energy flowing out of his body and toward the Zeta after he was impaled? Not to mention the shattering of Kamille's visor. Just like the shattered mirror in StreetCar Named Desire symbolizing a breaking mind.
@@simplynewtype Most writings on the original Zeta ending are in agreement. Scirocco was done with the nose of the zeta impaling him, but he wasn't going to go out alone. He space magic attacked him. My interpretation is he used the empathic nature of new type to new type and sent the feeling of his impalement plus his malice into the brain of Kamille, being so intense his brain regressed in self defense before the full breath of the mental attack put him into a vegetative state
I always interpreted Mashymre Cello as always being portayed from Judau's perspective in the first half of the series, so he seems totally ridiculous as Judau doesn't yet comprehend the horribleness of war and the terrible things people are capable of inflicting on other people. Mashymre's flashbacks to his interactions with Haman Karn are in his own mind's altered perspective, and is told in his unreliable narration. When he reappears in the second half of the series, he's portrayed more objectively, as he really was all along: a completely mind-controlled zealot, psychological conditioned with unquestioning loyalty to Haman Karn. This shows Haman's ruthlessness and megalomania, willing to strip someone of their humanity to advance her agenda and reducing people to fanatical killing machines without free will of their own.
@@simplynewtype Now I hated Turn A for the same reason it was a slough fest of filler and I never finished Zeta or Victory..but The goofyness of the characters (Chara being my favorite) being coupled with sad scenes such as the death of Ple , as well as the unique side stories such as the Moon Moon colony and the desert Zeon remnants made it a variety bag that had me power through the the episodes.
My favorite part were the characters they were all very zany and have that very 80s aesthetic that modern characters will never have to me they felt pretty organic Glemi falling for Roux…Ple and Chara for Judo was amusing and Judo himself I’m my opinion is one the most likable protagonists in the UC because he is goofy then has selfish moments but in the end he prevails . I also liked how when mobile suits appeared on the screen for first time they got an introduction via the name appearing on the screen in a cool font
Omg i didnt know blackwolf died! I actually watched that short film years ago, after seeing Triumph's star wars video and i had to investigate who this person was I think Blackwolf mentioned he became good friends with Triumph in an interview too so im sure blackwolf appreciated his friendship just as much I have a lot of respect for people who dont quite fit into social norms but have become stronger individuals for it. Its a form of bravery our world needs RIP 🙏

Zeta did the same to me the first time I watched it. In the movie, he survives with no handicap.
as a fellow who has also made a video about ZZ I salute you in shining more light on this underrated series.
Thanks! More people need to watch it !
My favorite non-anime Gundam media

Is that how you interpreted the end of Zeta?

Interesting. I read you first comment wrong, but your second comment makes a lot of sense especially the Streetcar Named Desire reference.

Loony toons being what’s in between char’s counterattack and z is wld.
This is only the start of one of the most goated character in Crossbone.
You'd think that by Crossbone he could've fixed up the ZZ Gundam a little better than that, no?
Anaheim is no more, plus the Double Zeta would cost a lot of money to get it repaired to how it used to be.
Dude! No spoilers!
Just found the channel the other day and now this drops!!

I never thought of it that way. That is an interesting take. Always assumed the personality change was because he started enhancing himself.
Can you make a playlist for the compilation videos (the ones that say "Complete")? I feel like I am lost on where to find all of them.
Yes! Give me a few days
This became one of my favorites yes this is a lot of filler but also that’s what makes it endearing
Interesting. That is usually a rare take. What is your favorite part? I used to hate it, but it grew on me as I got older.
