😂😂😂So true. I give Tyler his due for giving black actors and actresses opportunities and paying them well. However, he doesn't want to hire other writers.
Tyler Perry's movies are a window into how he views black-Americans. That man don't need a writer; he needs a therapist to unlock whatever childhood trauma he's harbouring in his head that he keeps manifesting upon his movies.
@@RJ-Ramen What baffles me is why black folks still support him. Why are black-Americans afraid to condemn or tell their fellow kind off simply because he/she bears the same skin colour? This is how the community supported R.Kelly initially, and Kanye West after he shat on slavery.
You are absolutely correct!!! Just look at how he writes characters for others to portray as opposed to the characters he writes for himself. Now watch. For other black male characters Tyler Perry writes them as trouble makers. confrontational, combative, liars, hot tempered, thieves cheaters, womanizers slick, quick with the mouth, broke, dependent on their woman, having multiple baby mamas with drama, have a piecei of a job. a convict with a lengthy criminal record, abandoned with a horrible childhood, raised by the streetsi, always being arrested, or having a questionable income and struggling to better himself. But the characters that Tyler Perry’s writes for himself are intelligent, astute, secure, independent, well spoken, educated, levelheaded, financially stable, not a womanizer, not promiscuous, no baby mamas, not anger or hot tempered, not confrontational or combative, not an abuser or violent, not disrespectful, no criminal record or history of arrests, but a reputable professional. Even when he played the husband of the drug addicted wife there was not arguments or divorce and his house was stable and kids were maintained. When he played in The Family That Preys he was the husband of the good sister trying to start his own business. You can’t help but to wonder why he won’t play the stereotypical characters that he writes for others? Does he see himself as better than those he perceives as part of the black community.

He was definitely moving too fast in the movie. Eating cereal at her house in Atlanta and getting beat up. Then poisoning the animals on the farm 90 minutes away, then back in Atlanta at Ava's job before she gets to work! How!!!
That opening scene was crazy. I’m surprised the mother didn’t say take those clothes off the body. However knowing Tyler Perry, he would’ve made it into a deleted scene.
When they were the restaurant with the best friend and her husband, Dallas was like "I want a divorce, We ain't got no kids, you got a good job at the motherfuckin' bank and you can keep the house and I don't want your parents saying shit about it Ava." And I was speechless and I was dying. 😂😂😂
For those who think that this movie is over the top, I can attest growing up in Cabrini Green Chicago that there was a family like this. they were the Bentons and they had our whole community afraid of them. That opening funeral scene gave me chills because I have saw something very similar in my youth. So glad we got the hell up out of there and I am the man I am today...whew!!!
Wait, that's the villain?! He's too fair skinned. Everybody knows that Tyler Perry's villains are darkskin. Is there a light skinned guy who comes and rescues her, but her past mistreatment makes her bitter and reject him, but then, through the power of Jesus, she finds the strength and courage to love again????
Mea Culpa, Acrimony, and A Fall From Grace are still way better than this one. But the funeral scene at the beginning was great! Was hoping the whole movie was gonna be just as crazy!
This is the typical Tyler Perry movie where the wife deserves better, gets divorced & ends up with a good man. Here are some fun facts: Megan Good, Cory Hardict & Richard Lawson have all been recently divorced, Megan Good & Debbi Morgan were also in Eve’s Bayou & Richard Lawson is the father of Bianca Lawson.
In the final scene when he broke in, you heard the window break and then he came from down the stairs! 😂😂😂 So he broke in through the upstairs window? Old sister ty-ty is bananas!!!😂😂
