- EPIC UNIVERSE is on track for an early opening in 2025 and a MAJOR EXPANSION may already be in the works looking beyond Epic Universe. On the zoning map it says the area to the south is wetlands and that the area to the left and right of shingle creek “that lake” is limits of storm water utility mitigation and compensating area. Plus they cant have a shingle creek district and then get rid of shingle creek. Moving a retention pond isn’t the same as moving a whole creek. That being said i could see them putting some kind of road to the side of shingle creek where that path is and i do agree that the area to the North probably could easily be made to put hotels and or another park. As for the land next to Epic i just hope they use the land just South of Epic Blvd that they have zoned for hotel at the moment for a future parking garage instead so they can make another Epic sized park with plenty of expansion space.

Trust me we won't and they won't. They're going to be adding rides and attraction with US and IOA and get a bit expanded. Not much for VB but I know they will eventually do more for it. The main focus right now they got on is for 2025 for Epic. After that the great work for Universal continues.
Just a thought...if Universal eventually builds a fourth theme park in that large northeast quadrant, then they could have a Harry Potter Knight Bus ride transport guests from Epic Universe to the new park along that skinny piece of property that links them together--just like how the Hogwarts Express connects Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. 😊

Agree! Get them out! Also the gate guard there has to hate his life because about 200 cars per day get stuck there and have to go through the gate due to the horrible road designs lololol… 🤣

All of those color-changing tiles on the exteriors of the Terra Luna and Stella Nova hotels are what we used to call the "Disney Difference." Now it's Universal who is going the extra mile to make economy hotels look special. 😊

@@TheNobleWay Same here. Seems like it'd be Universal's version of Grand Californian, and as cool as that is... I'd rather do a bit of extra walking and spend that money on something like the make up experience at Dark Universe.
@myrealnameisjohndoe116 yes, we are the same way. We could spend it that way but we tend to do the best bang for the buck.
Do you think they are going to plant more trees at the borders if epic universe before it opens? Kind of just to block the views from the road like we're seeing now.
Oh they definitely are - all of the land use plans and mapping shows lots of trees blocking the entire property!
Expect a March opening, not june. Spring Break baby!

One of the best onsite construction vids I've seen. Loving the maps, they really help us visualize where things are going. So many projects going: Universal Kids, HHN Vegas, UK Great Britain (95% sure), Simpson in 2028... I wonder how much bandwidth do they have to start large scale expansion for EU after it opens. We know Marriott is building a JW somewhere near Terra Luna, but a 4th or 5th resort, is looking like 2030+ (of course the planning is probably happening now).

Just a bit of constructive criticism: Some editing would be nice! I see lots of videos like this, where there’s a very small bit of news that’s repeated over and over again and padded with lots of rambling and speculation to fill the time. He just seems to like hearing himself talk, but he’s not saying much. This goes on for 30 minutes! I’d be more likely to subscribe if he just said the facts of his story, which in this clip could have been fully covered & completed in less than 5 minutes. I don’t think the excessive repetitive commentary adds anything.

Yes, for sure some of this space won’t make sense to develop on, they will need to pick and choose where they will build and reserve other spaces for water, back roads, conservation, etc. Still so much space to work with either way! 👍🏼
Ill be in Florida next month and Ill contact and get a hold on one of the Project Engineers there and see what update he can give me.

Actually it’s been proven that most TH-camrs actually have a variety or words that they have actually actively decided to steer clear of because they actually don’t like using certain words without actually considering them carefully before actually deciding to use them in a sentence.

I can see that you believe that you know everything. I'll just say this and leave it be. When Comcast/NBC/Universal purchased the property they're currently building the park on along with the hotels that are still currently under construction, this property was purchased at the same time. It totals just under 1500 acres including what they're building at this moment. I only wanted to point that out. If you doubt me look it up in permitting with the county. Or just watch Alicia Stellas latest video. She shows the permit from years ago and it clearly shows in print what they own.
Yep! It’s ~1500 for the new areas and an additional ~750 for US, IOA, Volcano Bay, and surrounding hotels. It says that clearly in the schematic I posted in my videos! Hope this helps! In addition, I love Alicia - she is fantastic. 👍🏼
She's got a handle on the permits, copyrights and trademarks. I've been working for civil engineers in Orange county for 30 years and have worked on several projects for Universal Orlando including this one. and some that will be coming up just a bit down the road. Honestly, I haven't watched all of everyone's videos covering the construction. I just wanted to be sure and just mention it. The current shingle creek development is precisely 1423 acres. There's some acreage loss because Comcast gave up property for the road to be built.
@@thewalkingdad68 yeah it’s a bit under 1500, I think i was off by a couple hundred acres in one of my previous videos but I’ve since updated it going forward - editing old TH-cam videos is a massive pain LOLs… definitely hit me with any info you come across so I can make sure it’s as accurate as possible.
