- Epic Universe will be noting short of amazing, but what happens after Epic? How will Universal Orlando continue to expand? What new attractions and IP's could we see come to the parks, and more importantly, what new coasters could we see? In this video I speculate on what could happen in the next 10 years at Universal Orlando.

I have been saying about a tribute ride for years 100% agree.
Mine has always been a dark ride called “Back to Universals future” starts as a tribute to Universal which is hijacked by biff and you travel back to 1997/98 with Doc and go through old ride scenes with full replica Animatronics. Also, gives the opportunity for a big store selling old style merch with a bit of a tribute museum.
You could also have a theatre or cinema simulator attached which they can swap out for old shows or 3d films that used to be at the park.
This would be perfect now as would attract millennials who are nostalgic and are starting to have their own kids.
Needs to happen
I’ve thought about the same ride: A BTTF style ride where we go through all of Universal’s historic past attractions like Kongfrontation , JAWS, Earthquake. Have it placed inside the fake JAWS 19 movie theater in case they ever build an actual Hill Valley 2015 land based on BTTF.
I'd be very excited for The Lord of the Rings as a new land at Epic but maybe this one is coming to Universal London?
Also they've confirmed Creature from the Black Lagoon coming soon at Epic because it's in the end credits from Universal's recent official announcement...
I did think about Lord of The Rings, but it has been rumored for so long it seems like it's never going to happen
I think that’s if the lord of the rings came, it would be the flagship land of the fourth park on the new property instead of an expansion

i’m kinda sad about the original vision for islands gradually falling to the wayside over the years. It’s general theme was meant to be stories told through books and literature, to contrast with universals focus on movie based storytelling. Toon Lagoon stood in for early comic strips and pop art, lost continent being recorded ancient myths and legends, Suess landing is kinda self explanatory, Marvel stood in for more modern superhero comics, and jurassic park, while taking visual elements from the films, was still based on a novel. Harry potter continued that trend but now they’re just throwing anything in there. Like don’t get me wrong, i love the new additions, and we’ve gotten some excellent rides and experiences out of it, but i dunno, the initial idea for a theme park just seemed so unique and cool. Like just imagine if they stuck with this trend of splitting its themeparks up by its storytelling medium? Universal would stick with film and tv, Islands with literature, and then a third park that revolved entirely around videogames?? That sounds so sick! Each concept would be broad enough to encompass so many distinct, themed lands, but feel unified through the shared goal of taking guests through experiences that explore the many vehicles of telling stories. I dunno, just a thought.
Pokemon, Zelda, change to ripride rockit, and monsters expansion are all very possible imo. Not too sure about the others, but I gotta say that idea for the legacy coaster is actually brilliant!
Yeah towards the end it gets very wish-listy...but we'll see what happens

Replacing Marvel for DC is so unnecessary . I rather they save that for Epic's right half expansion or pontential 4th park on the epic campus
I mean tbf, Disney owns Marvel so its kind of redundant to have a land based on a property they don't own.
But universal can use it easy of the Mississippi

@@Mymy_64The thing is their contract with Marvel has no expiration and is exclusive. As long as that contract stays in place, it essentially locks Disney out of using a majority of Marvel in Disney World. With the land already being the fan-favorite it is with two of the best rides in the park, there’s no need or reason to retheme it.
Well universal is making movies based on image comics franchises spawn, invincible so maybe a images comics land would be a possibility
F&F should be replaced with a Jaws theme of the mack tilting boat attraction. Would fit in perfectly both size wise and the theme.

No way Marvel will turn into DC. DC is already the biggest selling point of the Six Flags parks in terms of marketability. I would like to see a combination of Toon Lagoon and Marvel into a larger, combined land. I think with this additional space, there is more than enough land to build a substantial Lord of the Rings land. Instead of trying to slot it in at Epic, instead use all of this now dead space including the old theater to build a massive, comprehensive land. This also works on a larger thematic level. Having Lord of the Rings next to Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and potentially Zelda, I couldn’t imagine a better combination of IPs. Just think, the barge ride can be extended and turned into the barrel ride from the Hobbit movies. We could get a ride based on the Minecarts in Erebor or a wing coaster for a Flight of the Eagles ride. There is so much potential with this IP and I think sacrificing two aging and removable lands to create something this special would be monumental in not only the theme park wars in Orlando, but across the world over.

Personally I would really love a Sonic movie ride. That would be awesome especially with how popular the movies are. Besides Universal already has one paramount ride with Transformers why not another?

Idk if some of those would be completely ideal (I know it’s just your thoughts and opinions) however, as someone who worked for NBCuniversal, it has to make sense for regulars & visitors. Although they have more land and more ways to make their park go further within the future, we Orlando is probably going to have other things in mind since they have a lot more space than they do.🙂

I do think Nintnendo is going to be like Harry Potter in the way of how there is different types of the franchise in each park. It would be cool If they found a way to travel to each section, kind of like what they do with the Hogwarts express.
When/if Pokemon replaces Simpsons I hope they theme it based off "Pokemon: Mewtwo strikes back" and let some of the newer pokemon hang out more outside or as rarer outliers on the ride. That way it's more movie themed similar to how Diagon Alley is at least themed to the Deathly Hallows movies from HP.
Finally a dark park with monster rides. I love the dark scary haunted rides.
I would honestly love to see Toon Lagoon changed to a rather Looney Tunes land, it could be a way easier update as dudley doo right could fit as a wild e coyote ride!
I don’t get why people hate on rip ride rockit, I think it’s an awesome coaster just needs a retrack
Here’s my idea for a replacement for marvel land in islands of adventure: I think invincible would better option considering the limited space, Gotham city should be added to epic universe

What if Disney and Universal could collaborate, integrating Avengers Campus into Islands of Adventure, reimagining Marvel Super Hero Island? Hulk's ride might stay unchanged, Spider-Man's attraction could blend Amazing Adventures’ layout with a new MCU storyline based on the upcoming fourth installment of the Tom Holland Spider-man series, and Doctor Doom's Fear Fall could transform into a significant Avengers-themed experience inspired by Disney's Avengers Multiverse attraction in Disney California Adventure.
That will never happen which I'm glad since avengers campus ride lineup sucks

@elvingarcia3010 animal crossing is a good game, a good ride though? I don't think it would be worth replacing at all. With Mario and pokemon Mario is in a different park and has 2 movies under his belt technically and Pokemon does have movies too but Animal crossing wouldn't even vaguely fit "the ride the movies" motto and wouldn't even have the "music adds a lot to movies" cope that Rip Ride used lmao. Would be a nice kid zone type thing at Epic or somewhere else though since it has great food and merchandise potential.
You’ve got way too many coasters. Universal is a theme park. While coasters are great, on average, dark rides should take president over coasters at Universal.
And please… no wing coaster at Zelda. Zelda is too amazing an IP to have a giant steel coaster ruining the sight lines of Hyrule
Agreed the dude has great ideas, but that is way too many roller coasters that wouldn’t blend well with the overall theming!!!
I honestly think that replacing The Simpson’s ride with a legacy attraction might work better. The cars and theater are already set up for “4D” effects so you could easily implement a rotation of classic attractions as the on ride footage. Though I know the building and ride cars are also incredibly dated, and all rumors are pointing towards Pokémon to take over that area.
Sooner rather than later
It’s a shame Universal apparently couldn’t figure out a way to hold onto the license for Springfield, like they did with Hulk when Disney bought out the Marvel license. I would argue it’d make more sense to replace MIB with the Pokémon dark ride (assuming the rumors about it being a dark ride are true). It feels kind of unnecessary to still have that ride when Minion Blast just opened in the same park.
Damn, I'm also kinda DC fan, last year I just share my opinion about replace Marvel with Gotham ! or other WB IPs
No mention of getting rid of the Jimmy Fallon ride, though I don't blame you cause everyone forgets that ride even exists. 😄

Since the third time I visited both parks I have said: give me 2-3 more MUMMY type coasters.(Not Gringott type) across both parks. The thrill and interaction is the "steak", the IP is the "sauce". If they have to "rent" IP, Pokemon, $$ has to be figured in so it has to be a real draw -- high risk high reward.
IMO I feel like an interactive dark ride themed to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem should take over Fast and Furious since it performed amazingly in the box office; they could probably transform the party bus into the Turtle Van.
I hope that if they make expansions for Epic Universe, they can add Lord of the Rings into it. Those movies are just as popular and beloved as Harry Potter and they’re long overdue for some representation in parks
I think Marvel Land would be good as Metropolis so if they ever get sick of the Dark Universe theme, they can turn it into Gotham City

@@brennacollins6000 Problem with that though is that UO and IOA have themes. Studios is Movies themed while Islands is Book themed with the only outliers being Rip Ride Rockit, Jimmy Fallon, and Velocicoaster. You see up until recently they've all stuck to that theme pretty much. Jurassic park had a novel before the movie came out so it fit in with the book Theme of IOA. I believe the only reason Pokemon is being considered for Studios is because it's not only still popular but also because "Pokemon The Movie: Mewtwo strikes back" was a huge box office success. Therefore it fits the movie theme technically and fits in well.

Universal is not going to give up their Marvel contract.
I say take race through New York and make it to where every day it changes from the classic rides. One day it will be Back to the future, the next day it will be Jaws. Etc, all they would have to do is make the media and profiles for the RV.

The rumors for the ride system for Zelda are based on the patents that Universal has applied for. If they weren't practical, it likely would not have made it to the patent stage.
There's lots of patents that are filed and never used due to their practicality. For instance, the Gyrosphere from Jurassic World
@@JakeCoasters The Gyrosphere was pushed because Universal made a comment about being able to ride in one very prematurely and it got a lot of attention. It was never practical and wouldn't have even made It to patents if they weren't desperate to fulfill their promise.
Both flume logs and suspended rides have been used previously and are both extremely practical. While the vehicles ultimately may not be used, I guess I just disagree that they won't be practical.
What about a Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria from Five Nights at Freddy’s in any of the 3 parks? The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie did so well in box office for Universal Pictures. What park do you think will best fit a Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria?

it made a good return but i wouldn't say it did "so well" in the box office only making >300m which is good compared to its budget but not all that much in the grand scheme of things and it's still a pretty indie/niche franchise compared to other franchises Universal could easily get there hands on
Why not retheme Toon Lagoon to Walter Lantz, Looney Tunes, Hanna Barbera and MGM cartoons adding on to Jay Wars and King Features

Pretty sure Warner bros have the rights to Batman and they are being used in the six flags parks. Not really sure if universal would be able to do that with the marvel land.

Doing a generic coaster over Creature from the Black lagoon dark ride is lame idea like Epic already has 4 coasters (5 if u count both sides of Starfall racers). Doesn't even make sense to be bride theme since main dark ride is already set in Frankenstein manor/castle
