There's absolutely no way that 150 miles can be considered a "commute." If I got a job that far away, I'm literally moving closer to the job.
I work with people that commute 3 hours to work one way.
@@JessicaSimonson1976 In like LA or something? That is simply not reasonable. I would only consider that commute for like 500k a year. It would have to pay astronomically well to consider wasting almost 1600 hours a year out of my life doing something completely fucking pointless.
@@Mediarahan003 no they commute from Toma, Wisconsin to Kenosha, Wisconsin to work at Amazon as an Area Manager. Only making 72,000.00
"only"@@JessicaSimonson1976
And they dont stay on the city somewhere for the whole week? Cause 6 hrs of driving a day and 8+ hours of work would not ve fun lol. @JessicaSimonson1976
Can you stop putting miles in my bike thanks 😂
could be mine too!

Not if I get it first 😬
This comment is underratedly funny
Great ride Chase!
To the people watching this, I've ridden 10hr trips six times on my Z400.
Considering how these 2 bikes perform the same:
1. These engines are capable of cruising at 100mph 6th gear 6000RPM. It will be noisy at this RPM so stick a silencer or two on if you ride them daily.
2. For wind resistance, I never understood why this is such a big deal to people. Just buy earplugs and wear a proper jacket and you're all set. For the winter (i see you UK friends) buy heated grips and wear double or triple layers. You'll always feel the wind unless you buy a whole ass BMW 1250GS windscreen on your supersport.
3. Regarding back pain: A. the wind helps you lift your body. B. The 450SS is a bit more leaned forward than the Ninja/Z400 so I can't comment on how long you'll last but on my Z400(has the exact same ergos as the Ninja) it never bothered me.
4. I don't understand the cruise control issue, it's not a deal breaker and should never be a deal breaker unless you have a wrist condition which most of us don't. Again i've ridden 10hr trips with 5hrs of those on the expressways. I never felt hurt.
Practically everything I thought of when I took a 10 hour ride on my 300SS. I just squeeze my legs against the tank to hold myself upright more and it made my back a lot lighter. I was running the engine at 70mph pretty consistently and it was a bit noisy but it could totally handle it. Cruise control is cool but I found myself enjoying taking turns and throttling out in the straight aways more fun the entire ride than just riding at 55mph for 10 hours lol. I have a friend who owns a 450SS and it's about the same story, they're great bikes but believe me, STRETCH beforehand.
@@JSDFEnthusiast You need to say that louder for the people in the back. Nothing like a leg cramp when on the middle of the highway.
@@rea280 Believe me, pulling out of the gas station and my right leg cramped on me maybe 6 hours in lmao. I about dropped my bike trying to stretch it on the go.
The Z400 100% does NOT go 100mph at 6k rpm. more like 9500 rpm or 10500. I cruise at 80 on the highway and my N400 stays around 7800 rpm.
100mph at 6k rpm on a 400 🤣 did you mix up the 6 with the 9 key? Even then...should be more like 9500-10,000 unless you have a tiny rear sprocket
Just picked up a used 2023 cfmoto 450ss. Had to ride it 5 hours from Maine back to Vermont, all though I never went on the highway, jsut rode routes the whole way. It did fantastic, and yes the handlebars do hurt a bit, but if make sure to take the weight off your wrists, and take breaks every hour or so, it wasn't all that bad, and was actually enjoyable. I have an exhaust on mine, so it was wayyy to loud, so in the future I will make to have some earplugs. But other than that, it handles amazing, is smooth, and the gearing is perfect for going through towns and getting up to speed when needed. Frickin love the thing. And mostly, it looks sick af.
Bro I have one too and I live in Vermont
@@mikesoto3244 No way, whereabouts? I go to school at Norwich University in Northfield
if you guys are worried about reliability, cf moto has been in nepal since 2018, i think and it's going strong. it's parts are sold by ktm outlets so for reliability it's good.
I'm glad you still have this bike and are still making movies with it. They're an interesting company and a lot of the CF coverage has fallen off lately. I kinda want the CL-X sport as a 2nd, who-gives-a-s**t bike. I found one new to try and it has no business being as nice as it is for $5800. If they made a proper SS, I'd have that. That 450's style with their 700 P2 is a done dealy bob for me.
in the last week I've ridden my Gen 5 Honda VFR 800 on a 600 km (370 miles) trip. It was a great trip from the perspective of gaining confidence as to what the bike can handle and it was sooooooooo much fun (so I'd definitely recommend that people do something like that more regularly).
I was also picking up a new (to me) Honda ST1100 Pan European and left the VFR at a friend's house so I have wheels for when I fly down for a visit.
I'm lucky in that I don't seem to get sore wrists or back / lumbar from being crouched over but even so ... WHAT A DIFFERENCE FOR TOURING - the ST1100 just eats up the miles with ease!
The high windscreen means no more wind-noise (I have sensitive ears). The sitting position means no sore butt! The paniers and top box mean no more sore back (from the rucksack). And I've been using it as a daily rider and can still happily filter through traffic. I'm absolutely sold. The VFR is so versatile and I will always love it - but while the VFR is a rocket, the ST1100 is a cruise missile! I had to stop about 4 times with the VFR stretch out my glutes. With the ST1100 I stopped twice for gas and a toilet break - otherwise I'd just have done it all in the one go!
The only problem is now I'm wondering if I should have gone for a Kawasaki ZG1400 for a few more mod-cons! 🤣🤣
While people tend to get caught up in the testosterone driven lust for a crotch-rocket ... I'd definitely say that if you're commuting or touring just go for a tourer with bags and designed for all-day riding.
That 450 is a smooth little motor. Bike needs Bridgestone S22 tires.
I don't even like riding my Goldwing on interstate. I prefer 65mph roads. Way less wind, way less fatigue.
My fav CFMoto bike is the CL-X 700 with the tall seat. Has cruise control too.
That windscreen probably needs a little kick up or flare up at the top to help guide the air over you a little better. I guess a touring windscreen like you mentioned would have that.
Funny story. I saw you guys on the interstate a week or so ago. I waved at you, but I don't think you noticed. I was heading from Columbus georgia to Chattanooga Tennessee. It was cool to see you on the interstate. Even if you didn't notice me, which was cool you were focusing on riding. And that was a VERY windy day. I know because it was pushing me around in my nissan sentra. Keep you the great work on the videos. I love watching them 👍
damn you keep pumping these vids out making me want one ever since you showed off the 300ss and then I saw the 450ss was coming I just had to wait and see how these do
OC Good video. Fun ride. I think my knees would explode riding that long on a sport bike.
Who all agrees that chase does the most rawest and the most honest bike reviews in the whole platform
So cool seeing you guys up my way lol. I’ve eaten at Rocco’s more times than I can count. Love the ride up through Elijay and Blue Ridge
Regarding the apparent discrepancy between the indicated mpg and your actual figure; are you sure that the trip computer is set to US gallons rather than the larger imperial gallons? If you calculate based on imperial measures, then you get over 60 mpg, which is more in line with the dashboard figure.
Because of your video I got the CFmoto 300ss because I’m new to motorcycle but I love it more then anything but I really want to know more about motorcycles
OC: 6 hour ride down, now a Iron Buc-ee's is up next 😁 Once again Pat will be carrying all the luggage.
Great Video Chase, Had me laughing. The next Mod should be Michelin Pilot Sport tires 120/70/17 & 160/60/17 and a DNA Air filter with SC project slip on. Makes a very big difference.
i rode my cfmoto 300nk 2x 400km stints in one day.
it wasnt til the last hour that i started to hurt, mostly in my gluteus maximus and the back of my arms. totally do-able if you have to. i'll try to keep my trips to 6-hours and under from now on, but seriously, 8 hours driving a car usually ends up hurting too.
these bikes are perfectly fine, if thats what yr getting at
We stopped at a buc-ee’s in Tennessee on our way home. The beef jerky wall was epic and we got some pulled pork sammichs which were so delicious! If Victoria wins it’s going to be her first bike and she would be the 1st woman to win a WBRG bike!
OC: thank you for proving to me that it is now possible to ride this bike from you to Texas without a hiccup
what are you going to do for the first service? oil change & what else?
OC: For me, it's a fun around town bike with some adventuring around & west of DC
I got a double bubble windscreen for my cbr650r on day 1 and it has been amazing
I love being in Texas because I have like 5 different Buc-ee's around the DFW metroplex, so no matter where I want to go, I can find myself at one. I am lucky enough to have one not three miles from my house, so that is our usual meeting spot for rides.
I love the idea of doing long rides on my bike, but the wind - good lord, my poor little sportbike gets tossed like a leaf on the wind, and I'm still so new to it that it scares the crap out of me lol... I'll keep watching you instead hahahahaha
I love your videos specialy on the 450SS and made me get my own.
I have ridden this bike in 45 mph head winds, 35 mph cross winds handles better at higher speeds on windy days slightly leaned into a cross wind.
That close to Bucee's, should've stopped at my house 😂
Brasstown Bald is an amazing location. I was there a few weeks ago.
For that MPG, that is decent. I get 53 on my Triumph Scrambler 900, but I also weigh 250lbs....without gear.... so 260ish?
Also, I need a review on the Super Tenere. I'm a big dude and have been considering it. It doesn't get talked about.
Can you share the link for the seat plz!?
Im going to get one. I like everything im hearing about it .
9:36 I know I'm probably nitpicking about nothing but I'm just curious as to why they rounded down 45.9 miles to 45 miles instead of rounding up to 46 miles.
Does it really take that long to get to Buccees where you live? I must be spoiled to have it be a 30 min drive
Did 3,000 miles in 7 days on my gsxr750. Sport bikes are not that uncomfortable. Also actively working out, you’ll have no knee or neck issues with pain as long as your body is physically ready
any strong numbness on right hand? somehow on that specific bike this is very uncomfortable for me, I don’t really feel it on other moto 🤔
Bucee's got the best bathrooms ever! Gotta get some food also
"45.9 miles so let's just call that 45".
Time to call my Shrink, ain't feeling too hot right now after that😅
R7 v.s 450ss. Which was better for touring?
Question is how was the race when you raced him?
I tested the milage on my 2021 KTM 890 Duke using my work commute which is 87 km total x 4 (cuz I work 4 10hr shifts) = 348 km on a single tank with 0.9L left in the tank when I fueled up which equals out to 26.6 km/L or 62.5 mpg. fucking insane, now under normal riding I would never get that mpg cuz I wouldn't ride that slow (slow being only 10km/hr over the speed limit) or nice cuz that's boring, but it's nice to know what it can do.
Your bag bro, where can I find it?
I’m taking it on the twisties around Mt Lemmon (AZ) if it’s mine
So the upgrade seat can’t have a passenger?
I need this bike in my life my125 just isn't doing it would be nice to win this fingers crossed 🍀
I tour on my ninja 400 and i use my sliders to put my foot on to stretch. Now i have a cage its alot better for resting on.
For gas do you use super or regular???
Super Unleaded
I commuted to work on my CFMoto 450SS for over 4 hours round trip on a daily basis for 4 months straight, and it recently experienced an engine failure.
What happened to it? I have one too
@mikesoto3244 will probably be uploading a vid talking about it
How many miles were you at?
OC: Patty the explorer should be a spin off series lol
I absolutely need those gloves!
I really don't care two shakes about this bike but the video was good, very entertaining.
Oh man what you're complaining of are the only reason why I'm most likely dishing out savings on this bike.
The position and stock seat are practically MADE for short riders.
We are still waiting on ur ninja 500 first ride maybe a back to back with ninja 400 😂
Yooo thats so wild i was just casually watching and then i realized you where driving though my town 🤣🤣
20:40 has the same thing happen on my Z-400, freaks me out everytime.
Whats the deal with cruise control? Ive been riding for 12 years, lots of miles , and never have or need one.
100%….so confused by that. The day I want cruise control on a bike I’ll sell them and go back to a cage.
Are you going to do a touring video on the 300?
If the people need it I'll do it!
7:07 take the tall seat off and maybe the wind won’t hit you there
I always want cruise control on every bike I want to own. Better to have and not need than need and not have.
Can you guesstimate mpg?
Can you do the iron butt on this bike?
Link to the high viz gloves? they look amazing :D
They’re the new Rev’It Ritmo.
@@AT2Productions thank youuu
Thanks!
I bought a ticket but didn't make any comments but on the other hand I think that is a pretty good looking. By and it is more than capable for what it is worth? I would love to have 1 one day.
OC: if I won it. I would like to take a ride with you and Patty.
Why no one tests The CF Moto 300 ss ??? 🤔
I friggan love Ellijay
OC. I'd give it to my wife. Get her off her navi. 😂
You should ride the rs660 for 4 hours
Cbr500r consistently gets 78-82 mpg and I ride it hard.
The tires tell you what they are... AS5.
I’m three minutes away from your last fill up in this video. If you wanna cool off in the pool on a blood mountain run just hit me up!!
Can you put the links somewhere for the mods
Sure thing: th-cam.com/video/kq-IQ3MoRfQ/w-d-xo.html
They are all listed out there.
❤❤❤❤ that will be my first motorcycle I never drove a motorcycle before and I cannot send a message to the people over there at the website where you enter to win
I would actually do a long trip on it, when I go pick it up.......
The good thing about it is if i win this bike ist going to be easy for you to make the delivery or i can go my self 😂😂😂
Ok, first of all, I clap my hands to you. To sit on a sports bike that long.
I missed the the MPGs.
Bro if i win this bike you going to make the most happiest man ever in this world ! 😊
What gloves are those?
Rev it Ritmo
They should make a 650
Curious what your gas mileage ended up being for the whole trip? To be honest the 53mpg is pretty disappointing (even considering your sprints) compared to the 57 I typically get with my current GSX 8S or the low 70's with my previous Duke 390.
Knee friendly bikes but supper-sport look?
My NC750X gets about 70mpg at 70mph on the highway.
OC: if I won it id ride it, simple. so I NEED to win it
I have 1.6k miles no problems
I mean...if the bike is still being broken in and you're hanging at the same RPM and gear for long distances...that's kinda the least ideal way to break in a bike. Jussayin.
Took my 450 sr s for a 12h trip... not too confortable
I love chase's content before he simp for cf moto. I get it its probably good but this thing gets more exposure than any other bike. How much is CFmoto paying you dude.
Its one of our Giveaway bikes for WBRG. Those bikes are always going to get the consistent exposure because that's the point. Buy a bike - make tons of content on it for the people - at the end of the season give it away to the members over at www.wbrgarage.com . Nobody is paying us for this content. lol
DID YOU GET THE RECALL WORK DONE?!?!
That blue hat is fuckin dangerous dude, be careful
I kno you review bikes and that is why you have this. But you would be a fool to buy this over the ninja 500
How so ?😂😂 you mean ninja 451cc that they rounded all the way up to 500 ?
@JuanGutierrez-ug1mj because Japanese bikes are better than Chinese bikes.....its not debatable yet. Maybe in 5 or 10 years. Watch track reviews. The ninja is better on a race track being pushed. Because its built better...laugh about that
what moto pants are you wearing 😏😏
You break my bike you owe me an R1
you rode my cf moto 450ss*
glad my baby's running great
Here come the haters xD
我们有许多与 CF Moto 相关的产品,如水槽、浴缸和各种用于制作许多东西的原料。
as a native chinese speaker,i don‘t get what are you talking
@@user-ue4hu2cr3y Who wouldn't want a CF Moto bathtub?
I bought my brand new 450ss February 13th. On February 21st both brakes failed. Today is March 26th, I still dont have my bike. This is my first bike too
Sorry to hear this. Hopefully it'll get sorted and you'll be on the road soon. Ducati and Aprilia riders now your pain.
Keep us posted on the details.
You need to use the brakes for them to work. While decreasing speed.
CFMoto has one n only good series the MT rest trash
I did a 6 hour ride on my ninja 300 and i hated it, knees hips and hands were cramping
