It’s weird how hollywood has just failed to capture the beauty of Star Trek but a 9:51 second fan made video did more than Hollywood has done in the past 10 years this is the content we want and this type of content is why I became a fan when I was 8
From a fan that is getting up there in years...well, it means so much to me. May the Heavens hold you all. And live long, and prosper. It is okay to cry....😢.
This has added to my inspiration to live the remaining years of my life living on the Earth's Oceans . Totally concentrating my efforts to observing and recording all that I will see . I want it to be my legacy to future generations . I'm not a scientist , just a common man that knows humanity needs frontiers.
@@christopherhicks2396 I am 52 years old. My mom introduced me to Star Trek at 6 years old. Been a hard core ever since. Live long and Prosper, good sir. "Glory to you, and to your House" 🥲🖖
I cried, Kirk going to heaven. This is star trek. I denounce everything after enterprise, but some fan made something more worthy of Trek than millions of studio dollar money.
Holy shit, I am actually crying. This is the send off these characters deserved. I showed this to my father who grew up watching the original Star Trek and he had a giant smile on his face. This is special. Truly.
Brothers watching one last majestic sunset together, a young boy to a very old man, my go to entertainment has always been Star Trek, thank you for daydreaming OTOY, tears of joy and appreciation for a family that made us wonder, imagine and believe we can actually go where no man has gone before, live long and prosper, all of you ❤.
@@PrinceMagnum This isn't the original maker. This is a fan edit of something someone else made! Go to the roddenberry archive website to see the original version. The music is better too. It was scored by Michael Giacchino
This was so close to perfection. I know that the part about Gary is hard to edit in but someone just getting versed in the lore might not catch it. However, this was beautifully done.
I miss it too. I'm more a TNG fan so let me apologize for being so dismissive of your concerns in the 90s. I should have listened, and for that they murdered my Enterprise D. But the heart and soul of Star Trek has always been your Enterprise and your crew. They may be gone, but they will never be forgotten. If you may indulge me a quote from my Star Trek: "Let's make sure history never forgets the name, Enterprise!"

After the golden era of star trek like tng, ds9, voyager. Star trek died. The new shows completely forgot the soul of star trek. Its about hope. The possibility that mankind will grow beyond poverty, disease and war to explore the stars. Thats star trek. The
Amazing, and so much better than the in universe fate - Kirk's body being with section 31 (picard) and Spock dying in an alternate timeline (Kelvin timeline)
i just got into star trek for 3 Years now, and this made me cry like the death of my mom. I Love star trek and i love how star trek shows us all the things that are possible and teaches us.
I wish this could be added as an extra to the Star Trek Generations film. I am 44 years old and I have tears in my eyes. Generations caught me at my teenage years and it probably is my favourite because it unites what was my favourite TV series at the time and my fav films. Gotta say, the last episode of the Picard series hit a soft spot with "D" back in action.
Agora a frase que Kirk disse ao morrer ficou clara...oh My!! ele estava vendo o seu maior amigo, Spock!!! Gente...aos 60 anos de idade, chorei feito criança com esse curta!! Amei, obrigado do fundo do coração!!!
From the Nexus, where part of oneself always remains, through Shakespeare's Undiscovered Country, and beyond... Time, Space, Matter, Mind, and Soul, finds and bridges the bond of two spirits, whole again...
In 9 minutes and 51 seconds Hollywoods pathetic political agenda has been destroyed. Simply give fans what they want. This was beautiful and without the ego driven writing of the adult children that make up most of the film making industry. Thank you for creating this.
If none of you ever played Star Trek online. There is a Statue on Vulcan and new Romulus of spock.. Also, A plackard memorail of all who have died is on the top floor of Earth space dock..
Poor Gary Lockwood, who played the near omnipotent Gary Marshall,in the second pilot 'Where No Man Has Gone Before'. He seems be cut out in recent fan edits. Whether you think he's worth it or not, give him respect and keep him in. Gary Lockwood, now aged 87, even had the courtesy of popping in to the OTOY studios to put his likeness to HIS characters face,so they can match it up for AI.
