bump
@@Nickshreds890 ya the solo isn’t on a 6 string, it’s a 7 string so we likely gonna see the xiphos for ego death 😫🤌
@@LONGname46 you can still play it on a 6 though. Just take the low pinch harmonics up an octave. Doesn’t sound the same though
Bloodbath whole playthrough plz daddy
Please dear god
Tim is teaching thumping and Scottie is teaching YEAHEAHH
Personally I will be learning yeaheahh👍
Same
@@Nickshreds890 thumping is way harder I can do pluck slap and fingerpicking but not that. Not yet at least
@@Nickshreds890 dude I still can’t get that shit down from Tim’s video haha
@@Noah-ct2me The technique is from Tosin, try his videos. Personally I'm not interested in learning it at all, but I like listening to it when Tim and Tosin do it in songs.
@@tonycarpaccio9550 yeah I’ve been watching all his stuff too
Knowing Scott Lepage of all people also still has to occasionally count the frets gives me validation
I was thinking the same thing 😂
Or when he was doing the harmonics for a minute and realized it was the wrong string
It's been great seeing more of Scott in recent years. this deserves more views.
wtfff 2 weeks ago??
BRO THE VIDEO RELEASED 15 HOURS AGO HOW U ON 2 WEEKS ALREADY
the vid was unlisted yk
Didn’t expect Scott to be such a great teacher. Wish we could have a Scott lesson every day.
The "yeh, yeah!" part was key for me to understand it. Now I'm gonna practice and presume my new super-powers.
I’ve always thought Scott loves to use slides based off of tabs. Great to see him teach it now!
That Metallica impression was spot on honestly wtf😂
That metallic yeahhhhh 😂 Scott is hilarious
From the band that gave us "boomer bends" now a new hit "little slidey boys". Bruh guitar tutorials become both worse and better at the same time. From "it is just a run from the melodic minor to the the phrygian mode of the third to the dorian of the root of the scale" to you just " shoobidooba with your fingers and you doodilloo and you get this litle technique called "ice cream on a sunday"".
I appreciate the love Scott has been getting recently. He deserves it
Scottie explaining grace notes is so funny to me. Yet it is so well explained.
Little slidey boys is definitely a name I would anticipate from Scottie
1:52 possibly one of the most talented guitarist in this generation, played for many years. Still counts his frets. Now we know he is actually human and not secretly an alien
I would definitely pay cold hard cash money to see Scott do a standup comedy show.
We need a full series
10/10 personality
I actually used to do this to replicate a trem flutter before I got a guitar with a trem. I also like to pull off from the note being slid up to and then slide up to it
Holy shit I just realized that's why Reverie sounds so fucking cool whaaaaaat
would love to know the model and brand of these sharp picks
Edit: they appear to be Dunlop Plectrums Tortex Sharp 1,35

Somewhere, a priest's ear perked up upon hearing "little slidey boys". Said priest felt immediate regret after seeing a video of Jesus playing guitar.
This is cool and all, but the whole time I'm thinking "He's gonna knock those pickups to the ground with that headstock so darn close"

You are a saint and a scholar
The fact that this God of a guitar player counted the frets sent me 😂 it gives me hope
Not a knock in any way, but this reminds me of George lynch lessons. A very guitar player way of explaining everything, it’s great for communicating the technique to other guitar players.
what a good fucki n g tone my lord...
This guy seems pretty good on the guitar. He should try joining a band
What a great way to teach that "Pinch Harmonics" best I have seen. The slide technique is super clear too. Love it
So it's a grace note with gliss; or alternatively in modern jazz terminology it would be called a "scoop" or a "doit", or for descending it would be called a "fall" .
what's the music being played in a background?
Pretty cool little tech, thank you kind sir.
wait... you can do pinch harmonics with upstrokes 🤯
I learned absolutely nothing from this video yet I enjoyed all of it.
Its so simple yet i never wouldve thought of this? So sick
I love that Scott is getting so much more spotlight, he deserves it, i love Polyphia and I love both Tim and Scott but deep down I always liked Scott's stuff a bit more than Tim's. So glad he's finally getting out there!
Scott gotta do what tim does and show how to play his parts of songs with a TH-cam membership
bro i cant afford both! but yea id make money for it
yeah i wish he would post more
how tutorials tim got with the membership?
@@abikyoukan2 if you meant how many im pretty sure you can just look at the member section of his channel. You can see them just can't watch them
Why? Like a charge when he is doing it free? Am I missing something? 😂
The other chick guitar player is good asf too in this band
this guy just taught me pinch harmonics better than all the other tutorials out there
Scott trolling us mortals by counting frets 😂.
2 days in I finally figured out the squealy
i swear i love scotts comedy
the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7th fret on what is that the d string?
tacky carpet but whate v go off king got his bag
Thank you Mr. Noseman!
This man promised us one lesson and gave us two all in under 10 minutes
How much do you pay rent for this room ?
Hey Fishman guys I would love if you could answer this question, will these pickups be available in F spacing ever? 👀
And he don't get the love? You got to dress like an elf girl to get some love,? You got my love brother. You a bad mother F'er.
I got you. In June I'll check the premadonna.
little slidey bois is gonna be the only way i refer to that from now on, thank you scottie
I love Scott so much
Thank you, I have now learned how to do little slidey boys!
Thank you Scottie LePage
5:22 bloodbath asf
Me: So yeah, I throw some YEAYEAHHS with some slidey boys and if I feel like it, I'll add squealies to the mix.
Other guitarists: Please go away.
Unscripted goodness
yeh , yeahhh!!
Scott -- you and Tim are changing guitar playing -- wow -- your technique is beyond this world -- you are elevating guitar playing -- WOW -- super enjoyable. ALso THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge. This so makes the world so better! Keep rocking Scott!
I love Scott
I can't even play Barre chords properly, but here I am. Thank you Mr. Scott.
1:27💀
Anyone else need to apply a bunch of string lubricant when practicing Polyphia slides? 😅
This was fantastic! He's a great teacher too.
Yeah ive been pretty anti active pickups also I dont care for emgs at all they just kinda sound dead and lifeless but with fishmans the voicings are almost like an ir so its not really even the same thing as emgs witch more seem to work like noise canceling headphones. Its like people just want more more more but I find less hot pickups tend to be higher end and sound way better even tosin he was talking about the abasi concepts space tele with the single coils and then his old signature pickups he did less winds for more tonal clarity and it sounds more like a bass with the thumps. You can make any pickup hot using the gain on your amp but the hotter you make your pickups the less your range of tonal options.
Alternative title: Scott Lepage plays a bunch of sliding pinch harmonics for your viewing pleasure
Dear Slidey Boy Scottie, when we will see the Bloodbath playthrough?
So jealous of that Meshuggah amp in the background
I didn't know Weezers rhythm guitarist was so talented!@
Slides boys. Squeeliez. Why these names so correct
3/4 of movie I was thinking it was a joke but then 1/4 of great playing and no jokeing
its like the slide version of pushing down your whammy bar and then letting it set again 🤔
When’s he going to start playing Welcome to the Jungle?
Scott, how you teach is pretty solid. Like you thought of every detail that was important without over complicating it and also including examples of how not to execute the maneuver! Pretty sick!
Great Video. Thank you Scott!
Definitely not a technique I would proudly say I like doing in public
Why does Scott sound like Nick Fuentes?
I hope you keep the pickup pedestal in your living room all the time 😂
i had no idea these were called 'lil slidey boiis' i been callin em 'fake jeff becks'
Scott is so dang laidback I'll tell you what
Any idea what Scott was using for his tone in this video?
Teach us how to approach a little slidey boy 🤣
Thank you for teaching and inspiration, Scot!
Slidey boys I’m a fan of. Scotty does know!
It almost sounds like a trem flutter
This is the best guitar lesson ive ever had.
curious: does this not achieve a super similar sound to a whammy? i dont use a whammy so ive got no idea
That’s a snazzy guitar right there for a little slidey boi
I FUCKING LOVE YOU SCOTTIE, IM SEEING YOU NEXT WEEK IN MEMPHIS
love the meshuggah amp in the back lmaoo
Thanks Scottie Lepage
5:56 hell yeah
in German we say : Stabil
I didn't even know this tech existed tbh
it sounds similar to tremolo flutter
Exotic Cakes reference?
I fuckin love scott.
Great stuff thank you
WHY ISIT UNLISTED
This is why lmao
Little slidey boys
We need more scottiee 👍👍
It's like a dotted note of sorts...dotted with note
Slidey boyeeeez!!!!❤😂
