- Kraftwerk was the first group to introduce me to the beautiful sounds of early analogue electronic music, enjoy my cover of Ohm Sweet Ohm off their Radio-Activity album performed with my Moog Etherwave Theremin (running through a Boss Space Echo of course, which I got a little wild with in some places).
I composed the backing track from scratch using the Moog Grandmother Analogue Synth as well as a vintage 1980's Casiotone CT-320.

im so happy the algorithm decided to show me this beautiful artist today
YT algorithm isn't too bad if it takes only 6 months to bring me here.
Thank you Polly! *This* is the way the song was intended to be performed!
Playing this instrument is almost impossible. Virtuosos can be counted on one hand, congratulations, very nice!
Thanks so much! I got sick of guitar and needed a new challenge

"I`m bored, I`ll go ahead and learn the most difficult instrument I can find" 😂
Kudos 💪
とても素晴らしい演奏でした!!日本でもクラフトワークはよく知られています。そして、YMOやRyuichi Sakamotoに大きな影響を与えました。あなたの演奏は、日本でもとても評価されるでしょう!😃
Wow! This has always been such a beautiful song to me, brings me to tears. And your wonderful rendition is no exception! Bravo.
That's such an awesome thing to hear, thank you so much!
Brilliant discovery! I love KW and I love the Theremin! Solid cover! This just popped up in my side feed!
This is amazing, and I LOVE it. Such an ode to Kraftwerk! Thank you!!
Thank you!!
Nice. Kraftwerk on theremin was something I didn't know I needed today but apparently I did.
Happy to hear that :)

Ohmmmmmm, sweet Ohmmmmmmm... Ohmmmmmm, sweet Ohmmmmmmm...
Fantastic playing. I love Radio-Activity and you really do it justice - and I like your outfits too :)
Thanks! I have a iron lung vocoder pedal and was thinking of running the theremin into it, adding the intro to the studio version im gonna release
Very lovely :) it is a bit of a shame that Kraftwerk never used a Theremin in their live setup. Not even in their early years. This is a lovely rendition to one of the sweetest pieces from the "Radioaktivität" album. 🤩💕 Absolutely wonderful!
Thanks so much! Yeah the theremin isnt often used live unfortunately
This is one of Kraftwerk's sweetest songs and it sounds damn good on the Theremin! Good job
Defiantly one of their most heart-felt numbers, thanks for watching!!!
Perhaps my favorite Kraftwerk jam ~ good choice ~ and great rendition!
Thanks so much!!!
My goodness me! Thanks for learning theremin and uploading this. You are very good. 👍🏻🙏🏻❤️😺
And when I watched the second time I shed a few tears. Just marvellous. Thanks Polly 🙏🏻❤️😺
Parabéns pela performance nesse instrumento pouco conhecido que é o Theremim !
Ficou excelente com esta música do KraftWerk
Bravo!!!
ganz wunderbar! Danke.
🥰
OMG! 🤩
😎
Marvellous skills, great cover!
Thanks!!
Brilliant and very precise " as usual " ! 🤩
thanks so much! Took a LOT of practice to get it in tune, it's a long song.
Bravo !
Absolute brilliance!
Thanks!!!!!
Dude I love your name lol, between the playing and the name I feel like I have to sub (:
You appear to have mastered your theramin as well as your studio.
Thanks so much!
Sounds great thanks for sharing!
Thanks! :)
Fantastic..
Thanks!!!
What a creative way to cover this song! Incredible work!
Thank you!!!
was feeling a bit nervous today but then I found this video, so thankful I did
Thats so nice to hear! Hope your well 😀
Magnificent fun! I had nearly forgotten the joy of discovering this album, and you remind me.
Thanks! Its such a classic album
@@PollyVMusic When I read this, I thought of your performance, and my response to it:
G.K. Chesterton: At the back of our brains… [there is] a forgotten blaze or burst of astonishment at our own existence. The object of the artistic and spiritual life [is] to dig for this submerged sunrise of wonder; so that a man sitting in a chair might suddenly understand that he [is] actually alive, and be happy.

Thank you.
I am Subscriber number 500. Great music
Oh nice! I have the original album somewhere. This one doesn’t get as much love as it should. Feels like a classical/romantic piece. Nice cover!
Yeah I could really hear the classical elements when recording the backing track, Kraftwerk is deeper then they seem on first listen.
Based on a Wagner prelude
@@andrewayres795 ohhhh makes sense, didn't know that!
bravo!
This is incredible. So jealous of your skills.
Thank you, it's not easy but it's fun!
@@PollyVMusic I built a Big Briar(Moog before they got the name back) etherwave kit and was terrible playing it. :)
@@Countachockula it takes a lot of practice, but most of all, a good ear for keeping melodies in tune
fab, a beautiful rendition
Thanks so much! Ohhhhmmmmmm
Really love it! The drums came from the Casio, right? I still use my MT-70 along with my real synths... ;-) Greetings from Düsseldorf ... p.s. i shared it in the Kraftwerk FB group, i hope it helps a bit....
Awesome thanks so much!! The drums are a combo of "kick drum" coming from a korg volca beats , and a "snare" sound from the white noise generator on the grandmother (that I played in real time, hitting the keys like a drum)
@@PollyVMusic Ah, thanks for the info.....good job on these drum sounds! I'm looking foreward to your next release.... have a great day! cheers from Düsseldorf
I came here from the Kraftwerk FB page! This is beautiful; thank you!
@@natzacca That's awesome thanks so much!
Pretty amazing. 😮
Thank you!!!!
Cool theremin.
Thanks!
Absolutely beautiful performance ☺️ I felt like it lasted forever, in a good way
It's a long song! It's a journey to play live
Superb interpretation! And love the (ab)use of Space Echo.
Thanks! The space echo is the best
Genial!!!
Looks like you were enjoying this one 🙂
I certainly was!
You are very talented my girl! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Thank you Magdalena!
Have you heard of the song "Sleepwalk" by Santo & Johnny? I think you said cover songs were harder to play, but I was curious if it's sliding sound would translate well to theremin.
I don't know that song, but I'll look it up and give it a shot!
so cool!!
Thanks!!!
great performance i love it
Thanks!
how did i wind up here?
Cool! I always thought ye might be a musician! Well done!
Thanks! :)
v cool
toca airwaves !!
I think that song might actually use a Theremin already?
Kraftwerk - Airwaves YES ! @@PollyVMusic

"Polly Vinylchloryd" .
Eye Sea WOT ewe did there.
Just playing with words!
Wow you are bizarre and wonderful.
Love this thank you!
Just curious, do you have marks on your side of the pitch antenna for visual reference? Nice performance. The good doctor would have approved.
Thanks! Nope there are no visual references, I just go by ear
Impressive skills indeed, takes someone a bit special to pull that off.
I'm defiantly a bit special LOL
This is great! NIcely played ^w^
If I may come with a song request/suggestion, it would be popcorn, don't know how feasible it is to play on a theramin though x3
oooo Popcorn would be really interesting, I'm gonna have to give it a try
@@PollyVMusic I hope you succeed! ^_^
Also what gear do you have in your studio?
@@Gin-toki Thanks! I have a moog grandmother, tascam model 24 and casio ct-320
Thérémine sounds funny but on this situation it's a nice job,
Kommen sie bitte, und listen to Kraftwerk.
I love Kraftwerk (AKA The Boyz) so much
Männer spielen auch so etwas😂❤🎉😊
=o
music for drunks. this is why i love synths haha. beautiful.
Cheers!
I could make noise with that device but I'm d*** sure I could not make any music
Some folks consider noise to be music!
Funny. We'll see better in a few years. Uh, in a few months. Uhh, again, in a few weeks. Uh, any second now... LOL
Umm what?
Silver medal because is very sad... To kill that cat tgis way, you know... The sindi-cat is very sorry about how they are being ised in this kind of ohmstruments... 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅 Jejeje very nice... Just joking
