I'm only 66 and I agree with you in principle except that crap they play nowadays doesn't deserve the title of music. Its just crap. Electronic noise played mostly by robots. Alot of the younger people playing think because they have a computer with a synthesizer that makes them a " musician".
I know for a fact that it's magic music, As well.... I've been playing guitar ,mandolin , and the suchlike fer A minute now... Crazily enough my hands are wearing out from construction , I am a builder. I was giving up on music and then I found the smoke and now I can play everyone of their songs just not very good. There's so many it's in yourself out. I'm gonna see him in Bozeman in a couple of weeks and I'm up here in Idaho and I found them in South Carolina. I hope I can get him to sign my martin... Unlike 90 percent of "music" these days, If you hear Blackberry Smoke music from a studio album, you can go to their concert and see it played without any tricks. I encourage anyone who gets the chance to see them to do so If you are older like I am, it will take you back to a time when a concert was about the music.
I watched Blackberry Smoke on U Tube about 3 years ago and have found my type of music again, great band and at the age of 73 can still dance to great music. I hope they come back to Scotland soon as I would love to see them live.

I love this band ! The musicianship. The original material. The songs they cover. Charlie's vocal range is amazing. He can sing rock, blues, gospel, and honky tonk with a country twang. His voice reminds me of Ronnie Van Zant in some ways. Keep rocking boys !
