might possibly be the *best* cover of a symbolic-era song on YT. tone is downright scary, the treble screech during leads that's almost an upper octave... those old valvestates are so insane. take my like and comment, hopefully the algo picks this up. you deserve all the views.
keep shredding brother.
Thanks so much! These kind of comments always make my day! Old valvestates are one of Marshall's best kept secrets!
I'm listening to this while driving and I literally forgot it was a cover. Then I started thinking to myself man this tone sounds crazy I don't remember it sounding like this😂
I'm suspect to talk about Death songs, but this is one of my favorites of all time! Amazing cover! And this guitar... Dude... 🤤🔥
Excellent cover, the t-shirt, the guitar, the sound... Perfect. 🤘
Really happy to hear Symbolic get more love. My all time favorite DM album.
glad to be your 1000th subscriber. Just yesterday was in Cynic concert. You're rocking!
Thank you for joining the party and ultimately for getting my channel to the 4-digits! Now I have a thousand reasons to keep the content coming! Cynic 💪🏻

🤘🤘🤘
how can i get a tone similar to this with an orange 35rt and a metal zone mt2?
Do you remember what string gauge you were using? It looks tight 👌🏻
10-46, not tight at all :)
How did you get this guitar I couldn't find this guitar anywhere
I bought it second hand about 10 years ago.
@@Anarcissos Have you changed your frets yet?I picked up mine in 2013, and the frets are already pretty fucked up.
@@MaXiMuS-gi4mh No, my frets are still original and in good shape.
@@Anarcissos I think to put a stainless steel and forget about it.
@@MaXiMuS-gi4mh I highly recommend stainless steel frets. They also produce a tad brighter tone. Check this out if you don't believe me: th-cam.com/video/eLstfUO9OZ8/w-d-xo.html
Amp and pedal settings? Im kinda tone chasing symbolic atm lol
Shit, I don't know the exact settings in this video. You don't really need no pedal with Marshall 8100. Try the following:
Gain: 8,5
Bass: 10
Middle: 5
Treble: 5
Contour: 6,5
If you think the top end is too harsh around 4-5kHz range, try the following:
Gain: 8,5
Bass, middle, treble : 10
Contour: 0,5 - 1
If your tone chasing for Symbolic tone, try putting BBE Sonic Maximizer in the loop and that should do the trick ;)
If you're recording, then try running your recorded guitar signal through BBE SM.
CAn handle what now?
Hi! How do you recorded this song?
I used DAW to record audio while I recorded video with my phone. Nothing special :)
@@Anarcissos I'm more interested in how you record videos sequentially. Marshall 8100 head to cabinet 1922 via m57? And then through Daw?
@@ilyailya932 Tubescreamer in front of Marshall 8100. 1922 cabinet miked with 2 sm57's using Fredman miking technique.
@@Anarcissos your sound with the 8100 is very similar and believable to the classic sound of Chuck. What is your general opinion about this amplifier and is it loud to play at home at such a power. Is it possible to achieve a similar character of sound on Marshal tube heads in your opinion? Thanks in advance for your reply!
@@ilyailya932 Oh thank you! I tried to recreate Chuck's tone with the best of my abilities. It's not spot on but close enough.
8100 is great sounding amp for Death, thrash metal etc. It sounds great even at low volume levels. It's not the most reliable amp though. They tend to break up or have some pot or jack issues.
I also have Marshall JCM 800 and I can create Death-like tone with it.
