You simply have to be disciplined with electric vehicles though. You can't just forget to charge it. I simply plug mine in at night when I am locking up the garage and it keeps enough charge to keep me going for the following day. The charger goes into "maintain" mode when its fully charged so you can just leave it plugged in until you need it.

It’s not the regular daily routine that’s an issue it’s that emergency situation that sneaks up on you that you can’t plan for.

I haven’t bought my Vespa yet, but I took my CBT recently on a NIU electric scooter. Rather than liking it for eco reasons (a 50cc petrol is still very eco friendly!), i actually loved the smoothness and silence of it.
I’ve got cars for longer journeys - so it’s more for travelling between small villages on 30mph roads. Maybe doing 5 miles a day, and charging once a week.
The Elettrica seems good for my use case as I can park wherever I want, and for as long as I want, but it’s target market is extremely small.
You’d expect it to be great for cities, but looking on Zap-Map, there aren’t actually many 3 pin electric charging points in any U.K. city, and most people wouldn’t have off road parking to charge the elettrica.

I’ve owned an elettrica since March 2020 and use it exclusively for commuting in Manchester , I’m a light weight and can regularly get 44mph out of it , I’ve also noticed that the range in hotter weather increases substantially . The only draw back to the scooter is that not all Vespa dealerships have the ability to service Elettricas , I have to trailer the scooter over the Penines to Via Moto to get it serviced ( hopefully this will change in the future ) . I’ve owned a number of Vespas including a PX and a GTS and the elettrica is by far the better commuter scooter of them all .

I bought the Piaggio Active One it has horrible suspension, is slow accelerating and struggles up hills.
Very disappointed and my local dealer will not service it. I am going to trade it in on a 125 Vespa Primavera.

Why would you have it service? Whats the common problem of vespa electric? Thanx

My 2021 Lifan E3 is a little marvel - 5,000km up on it now. I use it exclusively around town mainly to avoid traffic jams. I only live about 4km from the town centre. With the windscreen I fitted it can be used in all weathers with some light rain gear of course. It also allows me the freedom of a motorbike without having all my precious garage queen petrol motorbikes get wet and dirty. Not sure id pay the premium for a Vespa though and they don't have a flat floor which I need for bringing heavy bags of groceries and dog food etc.

I think I will just buy a new Euro5 petrol Vespa and maybe hope for a hydrogen conversion later on if I have to go green here in the Netherlands. Three and a half hours for a full charge... I'd get frustrated if I was close to empty and suddenly I'd still have to go somewhere, and let's be honest... weird situations as such always come up one way or another.

Hello. There is a chance that you will test the new triumph speed triple 1200 rs one day? I'd love to hear opinion from you about this bike. :) Greetings

Yes as soon as I can get a demo for certain. Dealerships are selling the Demos though.
