  • Check out the all-new Performance Archery Centre, Lilleshall. This centre will be used by Olympic and Paralympic athletes daily, and Pathway and National Compound athletes will also have squad access. The facility boasts a 70m indoor shooting range, a 70m x 40m outdoor shooting range, changing rooms, an office and other social and workspaces, alongside accessible car parking, toilets, and cycle parking.
Watch as Tom Hall, Jamie Harris, Alex Wise, and Phoebe Paterson Pine shoot the historic first arrows in Britain's brand new world class archery centre.
We'd like to thank Sport England, UK Sport, and Serco for the opportunity to create a purpose-built Performance Archery Centre and to Speller Metcalfe and Abacus for helping us to build it.

Nice shed, 👍what design features are there for people to walk from shooting indoors, directly out to their outdoor target. I'm thinking especially with para archers in wheelchairs. Do they have another 20 to 40m to cover to get to the target? If so would it not be a good idea to replace the/some windows with double glass doors?

It's unfortunate that doors were omitted due to budget restraints and the outside range is East facing. Why windows were ever used rather than sets of doors is to me a bad design fault. All your archers only have indirect access to their outdoor targets. This means "some" archers will walk another 40/60 metres for every end leading to 200 plus metres per end because there are only doors on each end of the range.

Hard to see where £3.7m has gone.
Tom Duggan: thank you to Speller Metcalfe and Abacus for building this facility.

It's not even close to being the best facility in the world. Not by a long shot. Have y'all been to Lausanne in Switzerland?

It's an upgrade to the literal shed that was used before...
