We can't "Just Stop OIl" dead, for very practical reasons. But ACC is a thing. Even if you think that the probability of its predicted impact is low. We then have to consider finite loss versus infinite loss to society as a whole. This is analogous to Pascal's Wager.

I'm fed up in this nonsense. My apples trees barely have any fruit this year due to late frost. Warmer weather is better for most of us, more people die in winter than summer. Summers were much warmer and for longer when I was a child (a long time ago!)
