Been a fan of Maye since last year, I’ve stood by the fact that I think he’s QB1 in the class but all three of the top QBs seem like starting caliber players for a lot of teams
I truly don’t see it with Drake Maye. I think maybe I’m crazy at this point but he’s got a long release, he’s erratic throwing the ball, he looks unsure if he wants to throw the ball or not on a lot of his throws. I truly don’t see it or understand it. I get it with Caleb Williams i really do. His accuracy is truly elite and he’s consistent with it. Drake Maye is way too hit or miss with his accuracy amongst other things. Idk…we shall see i guess.
Like your breakdowns brotha! Very objective and informational. Always learn allot from your videos about prospects. I don’t see it with McCarthy either he’s going to be drafted to high and expected to come in and be a savior when he’s not ready. Are u doing every position? Keep up the Good work.
I would have to partially disagree with you on Caleb playing hero ball. USC had such a bad defense giving up so many points, Caleb needed to take more risks which makes his stats lower.
Drake has less leadership concerns, much better size and a tick more arm strength. BUT Caleb might have the most talent I’ve ever seen at the position.
Drake Maye is my 1a too, but you can’t go wrong with either of these guys. I think people need to check the 2022 Maye tape when he had a receiver who could actually bet man coverage. Yes, he wasn’t great in 2023 against Man, but not many QBs are when their receivers cannot get open.
I think Austin reed should be a tiny bit higher because if you look at the stats you can see that he had (31 tds and 11 ints) this year and (40 tds and 11 ints) last year
Physically he's a lot closer to Josh Allen. Also don't know about the value. Talented but spent 6 years in college and is still raw? at 24? Him succeeding at QB doesn't seem likely atp. He does have the talent to switch to TE but his talent is really at QB.
@@whoopiebob8782 honestly Joe Milton should have transferred to a pro style college school 2 years ago he would have been a top 5 pick. He stayed at Tennessee where they run an offense that is all half reads and go routes so he never got reps to develop the skills needed for the league. He needs to sit for 2 years under a great offensive coach and sky’s the limit.
@@bredmitch737 yeah he should of but he definitely wouldn’t of been a top 5 pick. He’s shown a significant lack of development regardless of the situation. Tennessee definitely isn’t a system to get you ready for the NFL but Hendon Hooker showed significantly better tape as a QB than Milton(Hooker had better weapons but even still). I tried to give him a pass after Michigan but the guy is just raw. It’d be 1 thing if it was just the ability to read coverages. But it’s also a significant lack of accuracy and that’s something scheme doesn’t restrict. He might just not be a QB and that’s ok but it’s hard to blame the scheme when we seen a Tennessee QB last year and a Michigan QB this year who are worlds above him as a QB. He’s probably the next Tyree Jackson.
@@whoopiebob8782 you are right am just a fan of him but you are absolutely right his accuracy is why I would have him on the bench for 2 years and if it doesn’t improve release him
Great insight on the later round guys, I wonder who is going to exceed his draft position years from now? Smart move on picking Drake over Caleb as everyone is saying caleb is 1, if he’s misses and drake hits, you look like a million bucks!
I feel like the age and the auburn years for Bo Nix didnt get taken into account. Nix is very old and also didnt look good under auburns more pro style offense. Plus at 24 thats very old for a qb prospect.
I usually take your word as football gospel I just don’t agree with Caleb under drake but we shall see. Great video and thanks for the continuous top quality content
Idk, for me personally going into this video from watching and listening about QB’s, Drake I feel is the more NFL ready QB, yes he has a lower floor then Caleb but I like Drake a lot, more well rounded Edit: I meant higher floor for Drake mate, Williams has the higher cieling

Also has a B+ arm talent nothing special
Great stuff... Question ❓ Brock Purdy... Did you see this when he was in college ❓Is it possible for a guy like Sam Hartman ❓Is it the coaching, the team, the system, an attitude... Because when I looked at Dak Prescott college tape I couldn't see Dallas Dak Prescott. What can analytics tell you about these QBs, that makes it possible for a Jalen Hurts... I'm a Giants fan... There is something missing here in all analytics that can't justify these QB's like Tom Brady vs a Peyton Manning from college. Is it Heart... Desire... An upbringing... Because Patrick Mahomes has that thing Brady has... Desire... Or maybe I'm just missing it... I like Penix, but Bo Nix seems better... I'm interested in what you think 🤔.Who would fit the Giants the best❓
I agree with everything you said, except Drake man... drake is inaccurate, like really quite bad inaccurate. I can't fathem why or how you have him ranked higher than Caleb who is clearly way better imo. I think you might be falling in love with what could be (arm talent, size, athleticism) and overlooking his issues. Concencus has Maye as QB 3 right now, and I can't see it getting better from here. Boom or bust shouldn't go nombre one overall in a class with Jaden, Caleb and even Bo Nix
Maye ranked so high onna really overhyped QB draft class, for me only Williams is a lock, Maye and Milton are really good prospects but raw, and Nix can make it on a good system, all others.... Now about Drake ranking he is the most unaccurate QB of the top 6, dropping from 65% comp to 63% comp and having regresion from one year to another, he is also the lowest under 50% on 20+ yard passes, how can be graded so high on such unaccuracy and lack of ball placement, also how can you get high value on low read calacity, watch the tape he goes 1-2 then 1 again then 3 man is irritating, I do not see him better than Caleb and his Pisical attributes are bailing on him, if he was 6'2" he would be ranked bellow 8 or 9 so nice to have good genetics but he is more Daniel Jones than Justin Herbert
“Jj doesn’t have experience” is such a washed narrative. Who of any of these QBs have ever won ANYTHING besides an individual award? Who played the most games this season? Who left the games early bc they were already up 30 points? Look at the most 1st half throw % out of the whole class. Jj is borderline qb2
@@GamerBro22299 maye is a project but higher ceiling. Daniel’s carried by 2 nfl WRs and couldn’t beat a defense in the top 50 of total scoring. JJ has experience in a pro style offense while every single other qb sat shotgun with a motion player every single play. Come back to this.
I mean, he has some experience? The whole talk about him being borderline QB2, well idk if I want to agree with you on that but I’m not going to blast you for thinking about JJ that way. I definitely see your point man but again, I’m not too high on him
I'm with ya on JJ. People are really hating on this kid, calling him a bust. I think a good many are U-M haters in general. I'm gonna love coming back in a 2 or 3 years and saying I told u so 1000 times. I'm taking JJ in a heartbeat. To me, Maye and Nix have bust written all over them.. same for Penix. Honestly, I'm 50/50 on Daniels. Caleb amd JJ are the only 2 I'd take with complete confidence.
