I think that this is the native resolution of the game, ngl its the best game to get for the ps2, it gets to show you all the power that the console has, even on its tiniest details.

The game registered the time correctly. The Mitsubishi won by nanoseconds, which the game doesn't count in.

The FTO Super Touring Car replaces the FTO LM Race Car, in GT4. Its performance was nerfed too. Slower than the LM version from GT3.
The Altezza was badly affected by becoming a 5 speed

PS2 had crazy ridiculous raw power compared to the original Xbox. its insane. Gran turismo 4 and SOTC are proof that the PS2 had some serious power in its hardware and lasted so damn long lol.

set the value to 'byte' and change it to '1' if you want to turn on the headlight ..
if u want to turn it off change it to '0' and dont forget to freeze it. (This codes only work on NTSC version) :D

2)i see in my pal version that the game is blurry and strange,but works at correct fps. I obv play in native x3 for 1080p,so...in ntsc blur go away or u make some settings to have this definition?

back then it looked so real for the ps2 era. now you see gtsport and its nearly 1:1 to real life (tracks need work but the cars, lighting and sound is spot on)

Select 480 progressive in gt4 display settings, you need the ntsc version for this

How can you get this running so smooth at 8x internal resolution? I've tried matching your settings but I end up with judder in game. Which version of 1 5.0 are you using? Also any other detailed settings? Nvidia settings? I'm running an 8086k and 2080ti so shouldn't be having these issues, your gameplay looks so smooth! Please help! Many thanks.
I'm using PCSX2 v1.5.0 (dev1660) u can try download my emulator in the description, n dont forget to enable the (480p) Progressive Scan (only available on NTSC version) to avoid 'Start Race' lag spikes and to get more sharper graphic. Good luck bro..

I actually managed to get it working solid last night by using DX11 renderer but with openGL I still get the judder. RTSS shows a locked 60 but when lots of cars are on screen using openGL the framerate is unstable within the emulator itself, with RTSS still showing 60. Do you use custom shaders with yours? Thanks for the videos by the way, very informative!
@Ricky Carter I feel with u man. Trying to set all up for a similar experience. Have a 2080TI and an i7-8700K. As soon as I see the first Car in the Car select screen, I get a 100% GPU Usage and like 3 FPS.

Dude, the FTO was LOUD AS F in Juiced for PS2. I hated to race one because I couldn't hear my own engine. It's much better in GT4.
