As a native Mainer, and Kennebunker, i have to tell you it is pronounced Kenn E bunk/port. I happened upon a video of Western Maine, while waiting on a snow storm. My father's family is from Wilton.
Glad to see that squirrel used the crosswalk and waited for the red light. We just went to Maine last summer and LOVED it. Beautiful state. Great video my friend. We went to Nubble Lighthouse too! That food truck you passed at Portland Lighthouse has the best lobster rolls 🦞 We toured all the Amtrak Stations in Maine. They are on our channel!!😊😊
Neat bridge to start the video. The park you stopped at in York has a nice 4th of July Fireworks show. I grew up in Mass and never heard about the Missouri Compromise. Must of missed class that day, LOL. Cool fact tidbit.
Maine is so beautiful, tanks for sharing your trip with us. If you love lighthouses and ever get a chance, there are many cool lighthouses around Lake Michigan!
You were lost in Strawberry Banke Portsmouth NH. BEAUTIFUL PLACE. My hometown is York Maine. We love most of you tourists. 😁. The Nubble Light gets lit up for Christmas.
My first cat originally belonged to the last lighthouse keeper at Nubble. In 1985 or so they automated the lighthouse and the family moved away. But we took the raft over and spent the afternoon sharing stories.
Oh, darn, it could have been a tad more perfect! You might have taken a right in Ogunquit and driven the Shore Road to Perkins Cove, where you could have enjoyed your lobstah at Barnacle Billy's, right on the harbor, with a view of boats not cars. There, too, is a fabulous path by the sea: the Marginal Way, where you'd have come upon a charming mini-lighthouse. Next time!
I figured we were missing some highlights -- it's become a frequent part of 'wandering'! Your comment actually reminded me, I did notice the Marginal Way on a map before leaving home. But the travel gods didn't lead me there this time. Next time indeed
Nice trip Jeremy. Beautiful day there. But $35 for lunch? Enjoy some real seafood. That area can be raw and stormy in the winter. See you next video 📹. C
Should have graffitied one of the port-a-potty with George Washington crapped here............😊 instead of the tourist traps that claim George Washington slept here.

That food truck did look good. I was disappointed we were already full ;)

Even worse, I *did* learn about the Missouri Compromise in school, but totally forgot it and had to re-learn it when I went there ;)

Interesting! I'll remember that for the future

Sorry Jeremy, but when I think of you I think of the beautiful country of Japan.
You and Japan - inseparable.
Heh I will eventually be back doing videos in Japan, after this trip to the US :)
22:44 How do you tell if someone has been living in Japan too long and they point out you're supposed to dispose of your trash at home?
They changed the color of the Portland Head Light from the original red and white.

Yeah we got used to lobster roll meals being about $35 or so. An expense you just have to be ok with when in Maine!
@T1DWanderer enjoy. No matter the cost. I bet things look strange to you not being in Japanese. C
True love = laughing at your stump joke.
I think that took all her effort. But I appreciated it!
DOES'NT MUCH WHITER THAN MAINE!
And?
