- In this rant, I'm addressing the problems I've had with the 2k community in the past few weeks. I packed a lot into this rant, so make sure to listen all the way through!
I'm a big fan of NBA 2K and I've been playing the game for years. But lately, I've been really disappointed with the community on 2K24. I'm not the only one, either. There's been a lot of talk about how toxic and unpleasant the 2k community has become.
In this rant, I'm sharing my thoughts on the 2k community and why it's been such a problem for me in the past few weeks. I hope you enjoy it and that it helps you

I've learned since 2k went online nomatter how good 2k is. The community will kill it...

Personally, if 2K19 never went offline, that's what I'd be playing right now
The company is aware so much that their older titles maybe better they force us to play their latest game

I never ever used YT builds maybe that’s cause I have a similar mindset to you where I’m not gonna have everything on my build but rather I’m gonna try & excel at a certain role. I’m best used as a Power Forward spot up who has defense suitable to guard 1-5 & actually know how to pass the ball as a big. Simple play style that has a certain role to get the win.
Facts 2K18 builder was what set up league builds imo
The best build in 2K18 was the most slept on build ever
Defensive stopper naturalized all offensive badges and only a certain build could get the HOF stopper(while still being a threat offensively) which turned HOF badges into silver 😂😂😂
I would like if you could only choose from the nba player builds by position

2k21 Next gen had those unstoppable fades from the corner. Everyone had “Scoring Machine” builds at the PF position and everyone was doing the “curry slide”. 2k22 was the left right cheese. 6’0 PGs just left right the entire game

What I benefited from the builder was being able to cater to my style of play. It just so happens that my play style is named floor spacing slasher with steve franchise ingredients…💪🏾

I'm sorry Pro Play was some BS.. too many canned animations killed the flow alot of moves. Basketball is supposed to smooth..pro kinda negated that aspect of the game in alot of ways..
Pro play attempted to bring different animations to the game , just for the same animations to get used anyways , they may scrap the system entirely.

2k19 for gameplay SPEED and builder. 2k11 for style of gameplay (in the rec if you didn't have teammates you could choose an A.I from a real team ex. D wade)
I always prefer A.I. teammates over randoms
The main two issues I have with 2K 24 is… Cost efficiency sucks. Things cost way too much to purchase and the people who decide to turn on The Game and turn off their brains!!!💯
Facts
Speed the game up(bring back fast breaks!!), upgrade defensive mechanics, smooth the gameplay out to rid it of the hitch animations we get from moving around the court, and maybe a updated turtorial for new and seasoned players. Also better rewards that makes players feel good about playing. Thats just off the top of my head. Very solid video chris, this was refreshing. 💯💪🔥

I do not hate playing this 2k as much as recent ones lol seasons, vc, and rewards aside I enjoyed this year
I have too , that’s why I said this years gameplay can stay , it’s the builds that need tweaking this year
@@ImChrisJones92 I agree, it was cool last 4 2ks to get the open attribute setup, but it’s ran it’s course, the majority is either 6’6 or 6’8(guilty) with similar if not identical builds

Build variety died with the builder because even if they change the heights or wingspans or weights people are still making builds to hit animation thresholds. If you’ve ever played an RPG , especially an online one, you know the name of the game is minmaxing and that’s all you see in 2k now.
Superstar players IRL can’t do everything on the court so neither should your MyPlayer.
To answer you question at the end of the video - 2k20 builder and 2k24 game play. 2k20 because you get to pick you physicals and archetype, 2k24 because of Proplay.

My one build is a inside the arc scorer........im 59 percent from 3 and i do take a good amount a game
Tell me your opinion on the idea but I think the build should be dictated by badges as in you can pick up to 34 badges only 2 can be hof and then you get attributes based on that like if I picked to have hof limitless and ankle breakers then you would get attributes that would let you do that
That’s an interesting idea and a different idea that doesn’t seem bad at all.
I agree 2k hasn’t been good since they stopped using archetypes.

I personally cannot be concerned with any old 2Ks…. I think 2K should build on from 24, in my own opinion, 2K24 is in a good place to grow from in the game is finally starting to cater to people who want to play real basketball…..💯 anyone in the right mind with common sense would know that no game on this planet is even 85% perfect. The imperfections are something that you are literally agreeing to the minute You load up any game…
