Quirk skills are rarer, what do you think about picking them and getting main skills later? Lichenology gives you two meds, hygiene makes it harder to catch blood plague, and recycling gives you parts and materials.
@@Tundrawoelfe orrrr just make a new community on the weekends and get the rare skills book you want on a survivor w only 4 skills.
@@starfighter1043 yeah, except there are like 15 quirk skills and you aren't guaranteed to get the one you want, whereas you can get basic skills from outposts
@@Tundrawoelfe true. I almost always start off w a medicine mechanic and anything from music fishing lichenology a survivor w no 5th skill chemistry bartending gardening or cooking too. N I don't play on lethal either so that's maybe why my strategy works for me pretty easily, I do go into nightmare but I have legacy boons and legacy survivors I usually recruit
@@starfighter1043 yeah, I can hang in lethal, it's just not fun, I use Nightmare for my hobby farms. Lichenology is better than medicine.
@@Tundrawoelfe I personally don't think so. Medicine gives pathology which is a HUGE buff in nightmare for 50+ health and negaitive injury chance i think its like 45% and more plague samples too. I could get 1 meds outpost lvl2 and get 2 meds a day. And w a surgery survivor you can use primary care twice giving 100 plague resistance and like 95% injury chance w a field hospital and an infirmary. I usually get a red talon op w combat medicine cuz it has surgery perk already. 100hp and 100% plague infection resistance and 95% injury chance is to me better than just 2 meds a day hell I can go find a rucksack for 6 meds and be good for 3 in game days. To me the resources aren't that special cuz if you just play you'll find them. W a trader leader you can just call in medicines n its like 3 rucks so -2 meds a day isn't that big of a problem for me atleast in nightmare
I would say bring someone with chemistry so you can sell firecrackers for free influence if you really want 😂
