A beautiful drive to a stunning location car camp

A beautiful evening driving towards the head of Littondale in the Yorkshire Dales. Finding a fine place to park up to car camp for the night with only the sheep for company and about a billion midges.

I was driving passed one day and saw a camper in the spot so I was really happy to come out a couple of months later and bag it for myself! It’s a baofeng uv5r. I’ve had a ham radio licence a couple of years now but just use that little handheld. I didn’t get any contact from that particular spot, though it was about 6am when I was calling! 😊

@zafiracamper That one does need a licence to transmit. I do remember though having a cb radio back in the early 80s! Fun times!

@@SilverCarCamper that was the era I always wanted one 😂 I only have a couple of old beofeng PMR 446s - used to be good fun to annoy the bouncers in town with 😂
