I like both but prefer the ramlok

Laws on autos are so ambiguous in my state I just avoid carrying one. Love the knife. Well made, well thought out design.

I never noticed the blade differences with the auto and manual- interesting, thanks

I have had my eyes on the ram-lok for a while now, and tried the auto for the first time at a show yesterday, there were no ram-loks available. I have say, the ergos on the auto really delighted me, I was surprised, to the point I am now paranoid I will be unhappy with the larger cutaway for your finger behind the blade when choking up. The auto felt just perfect. Also felt like a beast, in a good way. Your review nailed those points for me and validated my initial thoughts, I completely agree with you man, thank you. I get there are design improvements on the ram-lok, i.e. gimping (sp?) on the top spine near the back of the blade, weight, etc. but there are also cons to the manual, ergos, ram-lok mechanism wearing away and failing throughout time, the newest ram-lok clip screws have been moved underneath the clip but not recessed so your pocket will grap the screws which is annoying, etc. The way the knife feels matters most to me, also autos are legal where I live so that is not a concern. One other question I was curious about is how the cutting edges compare between the two. It might be safe to assume the new ram-lok is a bit slicier due to the more narrow blade, but I have no idea. Curious your thoughts based on your experience. Cheers and thanks for the review man! Congrats on those awesome knives!

I've had Omega spring failure. It's because I was fidgeting with the knife, a Benchmade. So, while I like the Axis lock, I don't fidget with them. And yes, I relate to Axis locks having play.
