I pretty much prefer the apocalyptic finish as well. It just looks clean! I would like with their regular stonewash ones that they would stonewash all the hardware for it to match the blade. Also Ive noticed with my stitch, it was solid at first but now after some use and carrying for a couple weeks it has a little movement like you've said for the up and down clickiness.
I just ordered the exact same knife. That particular setup is sooo hard to get. Blade HQ sells out of that setup before I can get my CC ready. I searched for hours and found a small Microtech dealer in Texas. They had two and I was lucky enough too score one. This will be my first Microtech in the exact makeup I wanted! I’m soo excited.
I received mine and I love it!!! It’s so easy to flick, and the lock is super tight. I did noticed a small difference in our knives. The “pivot” screw is not smooth on one side, it has the torx holes on both sides. Mine was made 10/23 and yours 9/23.
Have you ever tested the lock to see if it will fail? I’ve got two MSI’s and they both fail with a moderate tapping of the back of the blade onto a post it notes pad.

I got a black handled aluminum one with the apocalyptic plain edge blade on the way from nc blade. Crazy they charge the same for aluminum vs g10
Its cheaper than a squier limited edition 😅 need to save up for a black one
