The pinnacle era of touring cars. Looked like the road cars, super close racing, big characters and they sound fantastic. We need to get them touring round UK circuits with the BTCC of today.
Superb this, takes me right back to the 90s. The sounds of the cars, the drivers (Cleland and that iconic cavalier) I would love to see this at my local track. Please tour more circuits I love this.
I feel like a kid again watching all these great cars in their old liveries from my childhood thundering round Brands! Thanks for posting, this was a fun watch for me 👍
The BTCC still goes on today and is as great as ever - it's just that the Super Touring regulations fell apart due to teams spending F1 money on developing the cars. The current regulations are NGTC - 2.0L turbocharged engine w/Cosworth hybrid boost unit; >400hp in a huge variety of different cars (main rules on homologation are production numbers and 4.4m minimum length)
I remember marshalling btcc at croft with my old man and the peugeot must have been incolved in a shunt at some point in the weekend they replaced the bumper and tbe old one was in the skip should have taken it home lol

2 liter naturally aspirated engines with around 300 hp, and a revlimit of 8500 rpm, minimum weight limit for front wheel drive cars : 975 kgs :)
This makes me feel like setting up my old Playstation.

This is what touring car racing should be! Great video! Shame I couldn't be there
It was this at one point lol
@@AJS86 No shit
So cool hearing the Toca 2 intro. Amazing looking event
Cheers! It removed my ability to monetise the video but it was worth it just to have it in there! 🤓

Great Video 💥💥💥
Reminds me of playing TOCA back in the day
I had to include the Toca 2 music for this very reason. I don't even care that it got me a Copyright Claim and de-monetised the video 😅
Ojala se hiciera en TOCA otra vez para android
So awesome.
Revive back that series.

That 94 Mondeo sounded amazing.
Certainly was one of the best sounding cars of the weekend 👌

Ciao, nice video, i'm remember the BTCC, and i'm happy ti see that revival, but there isn't di Alfa🍀 Romeo. Grazie ciao 👍
Very much a resounding success as far as events go. Almost forgot sometimes that it was actually 2023. 😅
I loved it! Probably my favourite event of the year so far!
Im a proper sucker for the vectra its a real beast but you got to admit that ford sounds incredible
Still think that 406 is great looking! Those were the days, going to the races and actually see your fathers and uncle’s car on the track!!
Me and my friends said the same thing about the 406 at the event, it really still looks the business 25 years later!
In raceroom soon
Primera is so cool!! However, other manufacturers are also reluctant.
Yes, French cars are especially cool.
But the real star is the Mazda 323F⁉
I agree, the Mazda was amazing to see and hear! I'll be doing videos solely about the Primera and Mazda at some point in the future!
That's excellent.I'm looking forward to it from far away Japan.
Sorry for my poor English.
Original good
do they still have to run with their restrictions from the era or are they allowed to upgrade?
