I feel your Pain...USA here, I was riding my lawnmower, saw this weed?, grabbed it as i drove by, hand went from bottom to top, hitting ALL the leaves. Immediately stopped my mower, hand was really burning, washed it, did not help. went on line, found it was "stinging Nettles".. never heard of them before.. it was the only plant in my yard, and none sense... Weird.. took a full day for my hand to settle down... Glad you enjoyed most of your ride.. 👍
Another great trip Josh. I have yet to do a UK bikepacking trip, being used to motorbikes around all Europe. I now roll on a 27.5 x 2.1 EMTB bike with all sorts of mods. I admire your super light kit and pick up your tips and observations. As I am a 73yo so my ebike gets me the mileage and climbing power I have lost though age. Like your backing music too. Keep it up buddy.
I have the same aero bars on my touring bike, I use an aero mount for the garmin. The little bridge at the front is OK if something breaks but the garmin under my hands gets annoying on long rides. Even so, it's a great set up and very robust.

I'm guessing it's not a chest mount since you can't really see your arms? would love to know because it's a really nice angle! Keep up the great work!
Don't complain about the English weather. Canada is worse. Last winter I had to ride in the city with fatbike tires at 5psi... the snow wouldn't melt even with salted roads. AND if the weather doesn't get you the mountain lions and bears might.

Dock - use the sticky goo at the junction of the stem and leaf for nettles.

Yeah i don't normally use the bridge but i lost the end plug the other day so just stuck it on for now.

“Athisan bite and sting” cream works instantly. I’m sure you can get it in spray form. Amazon stock it
