This is honestly one of the greatest videos for strengthening. People that are complaining that Tara is too fast...I can see that...but give your body a chance to get these moves into muscle memory. Do them everyday for a week and you will be amazed at the pace they become easier. You'll soon be craving more. Namaste.
as a 39 year old guy, I have been doing these yoga videos for about 9 months and I feel better each time I see a video. I love that she has a smooth understanding voice. I like the 10 minute yoga routines in the morning to get my day to be more flexible. Others that I've tried to watch are too bouncy or sharp sounding and it can be irritating to do, or incorporate to "sexy" moves to get people to watch. Tara does take it to a simple level, conservative with a goal of improving your life. Once you start repeating the videos it starts making more sense. Thank you Tara for what you do. We have never met, but my wife has no problem with you being on my computer for you to help me get my day going!! :D
Nobody ever tells you just how much your heart gets pumping when you do yoga! But it does and its really good. One thing I've learned is when the poses get tough go back to your breath. Focus on breathing and each pose will be easier to settle into. Thanks Tara
Depends on the type of shaking, but usually it's a good sign!! That just means your muscles are working extra hard. The shaking gets less and less the stronger you become
I don't know why everyone is complaining! Yes, it is challenging, but only a bit. It's definitely a beginner's video to me... I'm kinda chubby and terribly non-athletic, but this vid is great!
Yeah I've been doing these videos for months on and off, only when I started doing them weekly, then 3 times a week, then 4, and then daily, did I see my growth. All I can say is the more frequently you practice the better you get. The body will learn if you give enough chance. Every bit counts. Be a kind teacher to yourself, you'll see.
wow those 9 minutes flew by! i could see why a lot of commenters are upset about this video though- for absolute beginners, this is really fast paced and there's little guidance- but personally, it worked fine for me :3 thanks for the great video! i feel great and am happy about finally incorporating yoga into my life!
This video is a great push that keeps me motivated for staying on track with my transition. Tara is easy to follow and I really don't have trouble with the pace (if I do, I just pause the video, reset, and try again). I am a beginner so I feel like the movements aren't as intimidating which is a plus. The only thing I hear is her soothing voice which is one of the reasons why I like her videos. She projects a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Not so video fitness. I don't realize that there was music until someone said something and even then, its not that bothersome. Thank you for these videos, Tara!
I started running two months ago, three weeks into it injured myself, this was the first thing I did after finally recovering. Challenging, yes -- definitely not too hard for beginners. Thanks, Tara!
I really enjoy your beginner videos so far, they are great for learning! Some say it is too fast paced, but for a beginner I think it's great to try and go through it all and with time it will be easier to catch up. I tried your video first thing this morning and I was delightfully surprised by how energized I felt even with just 10 mins of yoga. My body definitely needed the stretching.
As someone getting back into yoga after a few years, I really appreciate these videos. They're nicely paced and helping get my strength back to what it used to be.
You could do it either way depend on your level of "beginner." One suggestion is to spread them out through the week as an addition to another workout routine (like after 30 minutes of cardio or 15 minutes of HIIT)
You should what Tracy Anderson does; you need to do one series for ten days and then change or add more videos and do a sequence as it takes ten days for your body to get used to exercise. They say if you give yourself at least three months for a diet plan as then it takes your body at least a month to change and get used to that. Everything that is good for us in life is generally not that nice for example when you first start eating vegetables its the same for exercise, if it was easy everyone would do it. It is not easy but it sure as hell will be worth it!! Persevere people, one life one chance give it the best that you can. Yoga is so different to any other exercise it is a mind cleanser. Good luck everyone
This is great. I've been out of any physical activity for the past year due to concussions, so starting off with yoga to build myself up again sounded like the best option. It turns out that it is. (: Thank you so much for these videos! Great job!
I started with the flexibility video yesterday and incorporated this one today. Tomorrow I plan on doing both of them again plus the ab video! They are amazing!
This is yoga what I need! Thank you so much, I need some peaceful and relaxing yoga. This makes me feel fine. I need to strength up myself, so I'm thinking about combining it with another yoga positions. But this is what I need in my fast life. Why to do HIIT fast workouts? This is more beautiful, not ruining my mind.
I love Tara Styles! These videos are wonderful. I would also suggest YogAmazing to you. Chaz takes you through powerful flows with very a relaxing end. =)
really enjoyed doing this and what's more by the end of this video, I felt lots of muscle tension in my shoulders disappear! definitely going to do this more often!
Thank you for changing my life! This makes yoga and exercise soooo much less intimidating. My journey to fitness begins- with success! I finally found a way to not set myself up for failure. Thank you!
Best series of video for beginners i have seen very good moves the only problem she is going too fast but just slow the video to 0.75 or even slower on TH-cam configurations and it’s gonna be great .
A little challenging in some different ways. For instance its pretty fast paced, its great for a quick work out but it makes it a little difficult to keep up when I don't know the routine yet. The other challenge was sometimes the camera angles weren't where I needed them to be. They tried to get a little creative with it but I needed the camera to stay on her & the poses so I knew what I needed to be doing. Overall though I plan on continuing this video & looking into her others. This is just what I was looking for to build strength at home. It is a little challenging but beginners can absolutely do it. You can either follow her steps or she offers some easier alternatives to some of the harder moves. Thanks, Tara!
+Alyssa R Try watching exercise videos first just before you do the workout just look at her stance and her posture and try to keep a photo in your mind, keep going don't give up. (Just a suggestion) Good luck
Hi good video and its great that you share it with everyone who wants to improve their life's. This is why I think you deserve honest feedback to make it even better. I also think music is not good for yoga and. The other problem we have experienced - you talk to fast so for the beginner it is really difficult to follow. It's not the language problem, but just the tempo and the way you talk. Hope this is constructive feedback, All the best
Out of all of the beginners videos this one is the hardest for me. I don't have much upper body strength so the plank pose is a STRUGGLE. But slowly but surely I'm getting better
@rheakurokawa I used to have the same problem, my wrists would hurt every time I did a downward dog or attempted a pushup. After practicing and practicing, my wrists and arms got stronger so now I no long have wrist pain. Just keep practicing and it will go away.
Hello Tara, I recently started working out (I picked up the Insanity workout series), I would like to become more flexible so I am interested in your yoga videos, however, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to implement them into my routine. How often should I practice the routines in your videos? Should I only work out for the duration of the 9 minute video or should my routine be longer?
hi tara i love ur yoga for beginners it really word for me ..but i hv questions for yu ... i gave birth 8 months ago n 2 weeks ago i started doing ur yoga for beginners .still feeling some things are really tough for me so my question is i need to get in shape again can i do this with your yoga ? and when can i move to intermediate ?(i saw the advanced n i dont think ever i can do what u r doing legs up arms down ) also what other vedios for you that you can recommend for me thanks tara :)
Whatever works for you, obviously the more you do and the more times you do a routine the more space you create in your body. Personally I like to do a couple in a row but that's just me, if you're a bit short on time that may not work for you and it might be better to break it up into 5 10 mins shifts ie one video/ time you're practicing. I think in terms of building strength and flexibility the more the better :)
hello, it is great video i am doing this for a while and another video for flexibility they both are amazing thank u for them. i what to ask, for doing this for a time can i loss some weight? or i will need some more workouts ?
Love it, but I don't think the routine repeats itself for both legs? Tara first has you reaching back to extended angle (I think...) just once, but when you switch sides you repeat the reach back and then forward twice...
I would suggest doing it three times if you are just doing this video. I do a series of her videos, Yoga Beginners - Stretching, Yoga Beginners - Building Strength, and Yoga Beginners - Core Strength which equates to a 30 minute routine.
Oh dear :-( I agree with Wednesday below. This is beginners? I had to give up because I really couldn't maintain my balance and do these moves. Too difficult.
Golden Goldilocks Try pausing it and focus on her positioning. It might make it easier the next time. It does take practice! Even the simplest yoga poses
Hi Tara, first of all thank you for this routine I really enjoy how it feels on my body :) I have a little request though and I'm not sure how to say it nicely enough ... could you avoid using the word "here" so often? It's distracting my focus since vain repetitions are one of my main pet peeves. I also fall into habits like this once in a while and it's nice when someone can point them out for me when I haven't noticed them myself. Again thank you for your videos I do appreciate them.
The warrior pose at about 7 minutes in where does the weight fall? Im getting some knee pain on my straight leg and just curious if there is a way to correct the positioning
I like the workout and how you describe what you're doing as you do this but its really difficult to follow along for a beginner like me when you go so fast. It would have been nicer if you went just a tiny bit slower; but im sure once I learn the moves and memorize them I can take it at my own pace later on.
i started doing these and most of the times i'm ok and can do everything, but i am havign trouble with my wrists and hands who constantly give me pain, especially in downward facing dog. any suggestions? will the pain go away with repetition and will my wrists get stronger?
This is a great video but it's difficult to follow. Just a bit too fast paced for me, by the time I understand what she's telling me to do she's moved on to the next move. Maybe I need to watch it a few times to memorize the positions before actually trying it out.
+KyraJDread Can I make a suggestion? It does help if you start with the 3 minute warm-up though first then do one for a while then incorporate two then do one and two for ten days then combine three etc. You can do it, just think that nothing in life is impossible. Good luck
im 24.....3 years ago my weight was only 45 !! but suddenly im gaining weight from this year !! i used to go the gym... but its not helping !! i never tried yoga... i really want to reduce my extra( 20 kg )weight....!! can u atleast tell me.... which kind of yoga i should do...:D

Your moves are so flowy and just gorgeous. You look like a dancer. Thanks for vid!

Best way to get started with yoga.
Great videos!
These beginners' yoga videos are awesome ! My back feels great after a day at my desk job. Thank you

Thx u Tara Stiles, your video make me realize how weak i am. This "begginer" is killing me but i really like it, will do it every day !

Thank you Tara! The prolonged warrior postures made this practice feel more strengthened.
I love the pace in which you guided this sequence!! Thank you taking note of the comments Tara on speaking slower. One love!! Namaste
my first day! It's pretty tough, but I don't plan to quit! Can't wait to master all the beginner videos.
great video. My favorite of the beginner videos so far. I thought the pace and level was perfect.
This is great. I've been out of any physical activity for the past year due to concussions, so starting off with yoga to build myself up again sounded like the best option. It turns out that it is. (:

Thank you, Ill check it
I am shaking right now, but Ill improve! This is my new routine for...like..EVERY DAY from now!
Love this! I was really stressed out and uneasy today and now I feel great and relaxed. Thanks for this!
I love your videos you made me really enjoy and appreciate the art of yoga.
more videos please! i have been doing your videos every day and i love them! thank you tara
I love the warrior pose. It's hard at first but the more you do it and keep your breath even it becomes so easy!!!
really enjoyed doing this and what's more by the end of this video, I felt lots of muscle tension in my shoulders disappear!
definitely going to do this more often!
Doing these are really hard at first..but doing everyday at regular basis..the strenght increases gradually
This ones my fav starter vid! Thank you I'm going to do it eveyday with 2 of the others!
it may be difficult when i begin but it's really great!!!
Thank you for changing my life! This makes yoga and exercise soooo much less intimidating. My journey to fitness begins- with success! I finally found a way to not set myself up for failure. Thank you!
this is an actual beginner video!!!! Finally i found sth else than egoist master yogis thinking even advanced ashtanga is for beginners :)
I just started and this is incredibly difficult but with time I think I can stretch like her
Yoga always makes me feel so happy, peaceful, and happy. :) I need to do yoga every day.
Best series of video for beginners i have seen very good moves the only problem she is going too fast but just slow the video to 0.75 or even slower on TH-cam configurations and it’s gonna be great .
That's awesome!

Out of all of the beginners videos this one is the hardest for me. I don't have much upper body strength so the plank pose is a STRUGGLE. But slowly but surely I'm getting better
That was a good strength builder I loved it!! :D
I am able to keep up. Yay!
I love the voice and I'm a fan
tara is the best one
@rheakurokawa I used to have the same problem, my wrists would hurt every time I did a downward dog or attempted a pushup. After practicing and practicing, my wrists and arms got stronger so now I no long have wrist pain. Just keep practicing and it will go away.
its a little fast for me, but it really helps with my backpain! thanks!
Thank you Tara
thank you this was nice
I see everyone complaining about fast pace. Here's a tip - just put the playback speed at 0.75× It will make following easier:)
I've done the flexibility and range of motion video this morning, now this video this evening & I absolutely love it. Thank you!:)
this is my favorite yoga workout..
Hi Tara seeing your video after long time.
Love LOVE love love!!!! Merciii!!!!😉😉
I was wondering if this series is on DVD to purchase?
i really all of a sudden like yoga now... what about you guys. what do you guys think?
does Tara stiles have a strength building episode for intermediate or advanced?
Hello Tara, I recently started working out (I picked up the Insanity workout series), I would like to become more flexible so I am interested in your yoga videos, however, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to implement them into my routine. How often should I practice the routines in your videos? Should I only work out for the duration of the 9 minute video or should my routine be longer?
how often should i do this and each video in the beginner playlist to be able to move to the intermediate yoga ?!
hi tara i love ur yoga for beginners it really word for me ..but i hv questions for yu ... i gave birth 8 months ago n 2 weeks ago i started doing ur yoga for beginners .still feeling some things are really tough for me
so my question is i need to get in shape again can i do this with your yoga ? and when can i move to intermediate ?(i saw the advanced n i dont think ever i can do what u r doing legs up arms down )
also what other vedios for you that you can recommend for me thanks tara :)
Amazing!Thank you
so basically just move about gently and holding positions with modifications etc. this is very good.
Whatever works for you, obviously the more you do and the more times you do a routine the more space you create in your body. This lady is made of friggin water. She takes any form she wants....
hello, it is great video i am doing this for a while and another video for flexibility they both are amazing thank u for them. i what to ask, for doing this for a time can i loss some weight? or i will need some more workouts ?
Love it, but I don't think the routine repeats itself for both legs? Tara first has you reaching back to extended angle (I think...) just once, but when you switch sides you repeat the reach back and then forward twice...
Claire Hessing yea I noticed that too. I would pause it and repeat the other poses just to keep it even.=P
Hi, should try different exercise every day? Or practice this one for a while then change?
Thanks,
I would suggest doing it three times if you are just doing this video. I do a series of her videos, Yoga Beginners - Stretching, Yoga Beginners - Building Strength, and Yoga Beginners - Core Strength which equates to a 30 minute routine.
Omg I was told to add yoga into my workout routine, it's way harder than I thought..
I just want to know which exercise will help you get tall...?Please?
Hi Tara, first of all thank you for this routine I really enjoy how it feels on my body :) I have a little request though and I'm not sure how to say it nicely enough ... could you avoid using the word "here" so often? I also fall into habits like this once in a while and it's nice when someone can point them out for me when I haven't noticed them myself. Again thank you for your videos I do appreciate them.
Trying that as a male, is really tricky because of the stretching :)
The warrior pose at about 7 minutes in where does the weight fall? Im getting some knee pain on my straight leg and just curious if there is a way to correct the positioning

I love you terra styles your so awee.some!
so are you supposed to do one video each day or are you supposed to do them one after the other in one daily routine?
how long should i do this beginner program?
i started doing these and most of the times i'm ok and can do everything, but i am havign trouble with my wrists and hands who constantly give me pain, especially in downward facing dog. any suggestions? will the pain go away with repetition and will my wrists get stronger?
I may be the only few people here to just gain strength in everyday things like push ups and keeping balance since I am a dancer
I did it :D (Thanks for video)
I feel great after this :D
Will yoga help elongate/stretch/strenghting/loseweight for me?
thnx
that's very helpful to lose weight.and it's healthy.
thank you
Can anyone tell me how to download it onto my IPAD (first model) as I don't have internet access all the time.
The pace seems much faster than beginning yoga at the studios. Also, the music does not feel like traditional yoga music.
yes, of course. but it really doesn't matter what we weigh. we are all beautiful in our own way :D
Is this suitable for men too?
is it normal if ur shaking while doing this???
I can't do it
anything risky in this if you had a recent full hip replacement?
good but maybe some more stuff to loosen up the shoulders and neck?
Is it okay that my wrists hurt after doing this?
This is a great video but it's difficult to follow. Just a bit too fast paced for me, by the time I understand what she's telling me to do she's moved on to the next move. Maybe I need to watch it a few times to memorize the positions before actually trying it out.
+KyraJDread Can I make a suggestion? It does help if you start with the 3 minute warm-up though first then do one for a while then incorporate two then do one and two for ten days then combine three etc. You can do it, just think that nothing in life is impossible. Good luck
I love the video and you, Tara, but I find the music a bit stressful.
im 24.....3 years ago my weight was only 45 !! but suddenly im gaining weight from this year !! i used to go the gym... but its not helping !! i never tried yoga... i really want to reduce my extra( 20 kg )weight....!! can u atleast tell me.... which kind of yoga i should do...:D
