This is a mere demonstration of techniques you can do on your own. She gives enough time for you to learn the moves done. Usually classes are longer because you are staying in one move for a specific amount of time and switching sides etc. My class for instance is almost an hour long.
Tara Stiles, you are amazing. This guided stretch routine is perfect for getting my blood flowing - especially first thing in the morning. I feel so much better after this quick routine. Thank you! Also, on a side note - I have been wanting to learn how to do a split (for like the past 20 years) - do you have any tips or routines?
I was reading your profile on Facebook. I love rebellious, incompliant characters who seek to rediscover things anew and are not content with merely bowing their heads to the sanctity of old-age dogma. Thank you.
Hi Tara, great routine! If possible, it'd be really nice to have these plus a series of longer videos. That way, viewers can selected the express / extended versions according to their needs and/or available time.
I just discovered The Yoga Solution and find it amazing! anyway you can post a routine to do when on the cycle? what poses would you recommend? Thanks in advance!
I'm always amazed by Tara! When I watch her I feel that I can do what she does with consistent practice. The results of Strala yoga may not be visible at first but internally, I'm beginning to feel really really good. It's a workout that's relaxing and not frustrating as long as I respect my limits and listen to my body.
Wow! Really enjoyed that! I was pressed for time, so it was just right. Amazed at how fluid your suggestions are presented. Considering the time limitations, surprising how the practice still feels un-rushed, leisurely even.
I actually like this routine. It's short, quick, and simple. Yeah, it's fast, but for someone who can't hold poses for a long time without toppling over, it's perfect.
Thank you so much, Tara! I was able to actually touch the ground during the split on my right side! First time ever! I will keep doing this lesson a few times a week to get more limber in my legs, it has been a life-long dream to get into the splits, and now with your help I will actually be able to do it. :D
I love this yoga routine for stretching, I like to hold each stretch about 10-30 seconds longer however. If this video was 20 minutes instead of 10 it would be puuuuurfect! However, one needs only to pause it between each stretch to make it as long as you need.
That was such a great stretch!! Thanks so much!!! But god I hate how good you are at this!! Cause I'm on my mat looking like a cat trying to give itself a bath!!
I would suggest you do some research before you engage in an exercise program meant for people who are done developing. Of course you need exercise, but nothing hard core. Just a suggestion. However, the fact that you were able to do this says a lot. Great job! :)
I found this really difficult and painful when I first tried it but it has now become my favorite morning routine and has really made my hamstrings better :) Thank you! Xx
Excuse me, this woman is really pretty and she has a really good body : thin and yet not skinny but muscles !! maybe you live in a country where the average woman is 70 kg, but this is really a healthy morphology ! she must have so much energy :) (sorry my english isn't so good)
If I keep doing this video, how long will it take me to get well, a little more flexible? Because right now, I am not flexible at all, which I do need to get for running...
Hey Tara, love this routine and after not doing Yoga for such a long time, I am hooked once again. I have a question to the runners stretch. You do it twice on the right side, but only once one the left. Is that intentionally? I am not sure if you need to do the exact amount of stretches on each side. I know it does not have to be like that when it comes to positions, but I thought by stretches you did? Can you help me out? Or any one else?
She sounds like a flight attendant giving the safety speech - referring to her speed of her explanations, this is too advanced for me yet. Will get there though something to aspire too. ;3
It's because she's a pro. She's simply going through those easy moves(although they may be ultimate to most people) as a daily routine that's why she can be perfectly balanced and stretched in a relatively short time.
You can adjust the video speed to .75x and it’s very nice. I’ve been coming back to this particular video for years now due to how well it stretches and aligns my body in such a short time. Also it’s not hard to memorize, if you throw on some music and take your time with the routine you can go even deeper. Also be sure to do the runners stretch on the left side on the first round, I imagine it’s supposed to be there and it slipped her mind, I always have to make the other side even. I love this video, thanks Tara!
you never know it really feels like a blood pressure tihng though... i was doing ashtanga in fact it was jivamukti it was waay too much. Ive been doing Taras videos for the last month and things have settled down :) thanks for answer
well it depends on what kind of yoga your doing because not al yoga is for relaxation . also this videos are just to show you what to do she explained in one of her videos that if she where just doing this at home it would be a lot longer.
here is the problem: downward dog especially makes me feel so nauscious- any inversion- but particularly downward dog as yoga makes you hang out in that pose so long- any advice? i knoe the 'cut it down in time' solutions but really even 3 secs there im ill- will this pass? it has stopped me pratcicing so many times :(
I feel like I could really enjoy this routine, but only if it was on mute. Slow down, take some breaths and introduce some variations in your voice so that you're not speaking in a monotone all the time and it'll be a lot more enjoyable for everyone
How the hell can you put your heels to the ground in that downward dog position? And how is your muscles not cramping up? Or am i too unflexible for yoga?
when you're doing splits don't flex your back foot or your front foot you can hurt yourself and that's not the right way don't purposely flex you feet it looks awful and it not the right way, point your toes
Tara Stiles, still the most reliable, quick & functional yoga experience. A yoga master.
After 10 years this is still the video I come back to every morning ❤
This stretching works good after running. My legs are so happy!!! Thanks,Tara!!!
Best stretching yoga routine in 10 minutes.
I know right? I do this video everyday and I never have never had to really watch. such a good teacher.
Thank you for moving the ad pop up...

Ouch that runners stretch at the end. I gotta keep doing that!
Best stretch video ever. Like. Ever.

I've been doing this routine for almost 3 years now. Quick and refreshing, thank you!

She is so good at explaining the moves I did most of this with my eyes closed and was able to follow along. She is a really good teacher.
I'm a beginner, but this was still very helpful. Thank you.

It really gives you a nice opening early in the morning! You get to start your day on a whole new level! :)

Did this after a hard workout yesterday and it was so soothing to all my sore muscles!

this is really ultimate. i can only do halfway in all the stretch moves! lol. more practice for me
Nice #yogaRoutine. A little fast. Please make a series, a person can follow for weeks or months.
That was such a great stretch!! Thanks so much!!! But god I hate how good you are at this!! Cause I'm on my mat looking like a cat trying to give itself a bath!!
Hi there were a cope difficult and I think that this help me a lot and I am only 9 years old and thank you for letting me share.
I would suggest you do some research before you engage in an exercise program meant for people who are done developing. Of course you need exercise, but nothing hard core. Just a suggestion. However, the fact that you were able to do this says a lot. Great job! :)

Hello, I was just wondering how high up in the air that building you are making the video on is?
Thank for this routine Tara! I felt so good after doing it! =)

WOW! do you actually OWN that pool? cus if you do...............wow!!!!!! i know, im toatally forgetting the point of this /;
She sounds like a flight attendant giving the safety speech - referring to her speed of her explanations, this is too advanced for me yet. Will get there though something to aspire too. ;3
I really liked this video, but am I the only one who felt like she went through it really fast?
It's because she's a pro. She's simply going through those easy moves(although they may be ultimate to most people) as a daily routine that's why she can be perfectly balanced and stretched in a relatively short time.

YogiNora on TH-cam is great for stretching and she never hurry's her positions. She doesn't believe in doing Yoga at speed.
you never know it really feels like a blood pressure tihng though... i was doing ashtanga in fact it was jivamukti it was waay too much. Ive been doing Taras videos for the last month and things have settled down :) thanks for answer
I just paused the video and did it myself.
When I'm sitting on my heel for the runners stretch, I can't hold it long enough because my toes really start hurting. Any tips?
it's filmed in Los Angeles.
well it depends on what kind of yoga your doing because not al yoga is for relaxation . also this videos are just to show you what to do she explained in one of her videos that if she where just doing this at home it would be a lot longer.
Fantastic video yet again! Looking forward to next weeks's!! @becdalbyfitness
i loved it! but it hurt so much :'(
Ad comes up right in the middle of a stretch- inconsiderate interruption of flow. Please remove it.
i need harder stretching...
here is the problem: downward dog especially makes me feel so nauscious- any inversion- but particularly downward dog as yoga makes you hang out in that pose so long- any advice? i knoe the 'cut it down in time' solutions but really even 3 secs there im ill- will this pass? it has stopped me pratcicing so many times :(
does it bother anybody else that she skips the 1st runner's stretch for the left leg?
My kids love when I'm on the mat. They always come and join me. Baby underneath and toddler right in front....(I end up on the floor.) Lol
man, maybe it's just me, but it feels like she's in a super hurry. done yoga with 6 different yogis and none made me feel as rushed.
wow that's amazing at 3:17 would kill me lol.
I feel like I could really enjoy this routine, but only if it was on mute. Slow down, take some breaths and introduce some variations in your voice so that you're not speaking in a monotone all the time and it'll be a lot more enjoyable for everyone
WHERE ARE YOU?
Loved this but yes talking way, way to quickly.
this is too fast. you cannot concentrade on eather of the excercises
How the hell can you put your heels to the ground in that downward dog position? And how is your muscles not cramping up? Or am i too unflexible for yoga?
+Fekete Kitti well there is some genetical basis in flexibility but as it is with so many other things and exercise, practice makes perfect
it gets easier as you improve your flexibility.
How is this relaxing? It's a workout in itself.
I was fine until she reached for her foot lol
5:02 wow Tara that's amazing and incredible flexibility
Her feet make me drool, she could be a foot model.
when you're doing splits don't flex your back foot or your front foot you can hurt yourself and that's not the right way don't purposely flex you feet it looks awful and it not the right way, point your toes
I'm a man but now I feel like a strong woman, *flexes quads*
A drum machine banging the whole time? I don't think so.
I found her working so slow.
Great physique she have, perfect body and so stretched. Super video tutorials.
you talk way too fast; it's annoying, not relaxing
The music is so annoying! I mean, good swift workout but I just could not concentrate.
Annoying background music.
Too fast imo, hard to follow if you aren't a pro
