Kirstie, I can't believe you ever do conventional.
I just looked at what I have written and realised what a cloistered 'convent'ual life I have been leading during lockdown and there is diddly squat I can do about it at the moment.
Social media is just so weird sometimes and it forever carries the potential for the unexpected.
I have helped found a little group promoting local walking during the lockdown and beyond and I have been busy doing walks and posting on my social media.
The other day I met a young lady in a field with her toddler and small dog and I have no idea why but we started talking about her day job on the local council. I said Sue used to be my neighbour and I have known Sheila for donkey's years. I know you aren't Claire so you must be ... Kelly! And she said Ah ... you must be Tony!
I like the look of your cooking and since the pandemic I have been a good boy and done the same thing. Cook something nice, eat one bit of bit, bag and label the rest and put in the freezer. For months and months there have been no ready meals in my freezer at all. But there is nothing you could ever do to get me to eat Reese's American candy. Chocolate I like and peanut butter I like but put the two together in an American package - yeutch!!!

Nice “Day In The Life” Video, for it’s really cheered my right up and made me feel so much happier, even though some other TH-camr had Blocked me last week; your Videos ALWAYS cheer me right up and “Take Me To A Much Better Place, Emotionally”â€ĶI’m guessing that the word, “Baltic” means incredibly cold/freezingâ€ĶI remember grocery store items right on-the-spot as well too: Ha-Ha-Haâ€ĶQuestion: What’s a “Corn Pot Pie”? I’ve never heard of itâ€ĶIs that a Scottish dish? You still do Instagram Stories? I haven’t seen any new Stories on your Instagram for at least 10 Daysâ€ĶOne of the TH-camrs who Blocked me wears false eye-lashes & acrylic nailsâ€ĶYes, it takes the Hot Water in my apartment quite a while to warm up, usually at least a good 5 Minutesâ€ĶAs usual, I will list all the places in this Video where my friend got “Stuck” at the very end of this Comment, whether it be the final paragraph or it be in a Reply to my own Commentâ€Ķ
    .
I recognize that you can be quite the movie buffâ€ĶThat said, my friend & I both have a question for you about something that’s somewhat related to the TV/Film Industryâ€ĶYou might (or might not) be aware that one very hot topic in the d/Deaf & HoH Community is the casting of d/Deaf & HoH roles frequently going to actors and/or actresses whom are “Hearing”â€ĶAlthough I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the d/Deaf & HoH find this upsetting, I will state for the record that they’re often wondering why such roles keep going to “Hearing” people so often and aren’t being awarded to more people whom ARE genuinely d/Deaf or HoHâ€ĶOne exception is in a TV Show called “Switched At Birth” where the Daphne character is portrayed by a woman whom in real life has a condition that adversely affects her hearingâ€ĶI honestly like the Daphne character a lot, because her speech characteristics & traits sound very similar to that of my friend, Vanessa’s speech (ex: a Heavy Lisp with the “S” & “F” sounds being absent a lot of the time)â€ĶBut the casting of that Daphne character in the TV Show, “Switched At Birth” is in the minority, because most of the time (at least more than 50% of the time), such a role would most often go to an actor or actress without any Hearing Difficultiesâ€ĶMY theory to WHY a lot of Hard-Of-Hearing people speak with that stereotypical Heavy Lisp that’s often associated with deafness (well, not 100% of d/Deaf or Hoh people but, rather, a certain percentage of them) is probably made possible by the fact that while “Hearing-Aids” can make speech audible to people who would otherwise be unable to hear it at all, there are certain softer consonant sounds that, depending on the nature of the particular person’s hearing, would be perceived as absent to the particular wearer of “Hearing-Aids”â€ĶWhen most people first learn how to speak, they do so by imitating how they perceive the speech of others around them to sound like (note: that’s most likely how people in certain parts of the world have accents, as they imitate their parents’ speech whilst growing up); that said, if certain softer consonant sounds (such as the “S” sound and the “F” sound) are inaudible to the young person learning how to speak, than it’s more than likely that the young person will perceive speech as being absent of those sounds and, in turn, never learn how to pronounce those sounds themselvesâ€ĶJust please keep in mind that this is only my personal theory on the matter, yet it does seem to make sense, thoughâ€ĶOne deaf TH-camr whom often explores issues surrounding deafness & the Film/Entertainment Industry is someone called “ChrissyCan'tHearYou” and she’s on both TH-cam & Instagram, among other places and I’d recommend giving her a try, if time permitsâ€Ķ
    .
By-The-Way: There was one Instagrammer whom my friend never included in the list, so I’d acquired the Instagram’s name phonetically from my friendâ€Ķbut then when I conducted a search for what I thought was the proper spelling, it later turned out that I’d landed on the incorrect Instagramâ€ĶThe Correction: “loni.friedmann”â€ĶSo basically, Loni Friedmann is an “Accessibility Activist” whom my friend & her friends followâ€ĶShe doesn’t speak at all-she uses Sign Language to communicate but Subtitles all her Videos so that people such as myself (who don’t know Sign Language) are able to figure out what she’s saying-and she talks A LOT about how there are SO MANY Online Videos that are completely “Inaccessible” to the d/Deaf & HoH Communityâ€ĶWhile TH-cam offers “Universal Captioning” (in the form of Auto-Generated Closed-Captioning that automatically forms for most Videos, granted that intelligible and/or audible speech is detected within the first 10-To-15 Seconds of the Video AND that there isn’t any Licensed Content included in the Video), several other Video-based Social Medias (such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) do NOT offer any “Universal Captioning,” and the very largest hurdle for d/Deaf & HoH people is the massive breadth of Online Videos that are exclusive to Instagram (such as IGTV feeds) that are 100% lacking in ANY Captioning whatsoeverâ€ĶLoni Friedmann once posted a VERY powerful Video where she signed out the statement, “I Caption my Videos so you can get to know meâ€Ķbut you won’t Caption your Videos, so now I’ll never get to know YOUâ€ĶSad but trueâ€Ķ” Loni Friedmann also says, “You can teach a Hearing person Sign Languageâ€ĶBut you can’t teach a deaf person how to hearâ€Ķ” Just to clarify, Loni Friedmann is NOT lecturing TH-camrs such as yourself whom provides Auto-Generated Closed-Captioning for most of your Videos; more specifically, she’s referring to those Instagram-based Online Videographers who offer absolutely nothing, as far as Captioning is concerned (so, therefore, you’re in-the-clear, LOL)â€ĶAlthough the d/Deaf & HoH Community typically doesn’t regard Auto-Captions as Captions and would consider a Video only offering Auto-Generated Closed-Captioning as NOT being Captioned, I’m very sure they definitely appreciate ANY Captions they can get a hold of, because Subtitles are literally the ONLY way that certain people are able to figure out what’s being said in Videos (and “Something’s [Always] Better Than Nothing”), such as YOUR Videos tooâ€ĶSo one truly excellent analogy I have to tell you is that if she didn’t provide Subtitles for her Videos, there’d be no way I’d be able to figure out what she’s saying in her Videos (reason being that I don’t know Sign Language)â€ĶWell, hold that thoughtâ€Ķbecause similarly, how you or I would feel like trying to watch an Online Video that was filmed in Sign Language but that is 100% entirely lacking in any Subtitles, that’s exactly how deaf people most likely feel like when trying to watch a speech-based Online Video that’s completely lacking in any Captioningâ€ĶMy friend frequently asks people-and she means absolutely no offense by it whatsoever-to please take a moment to mute whatever device they use to watch Online Videos with and then click on a speech-based Video that’s not Captioned and then try to determine whether they can figure out what the person in the Video is sayingâ€ĶThat said, if you were to try to watch a speech-based Video Online but with the sound turned off AND with No Subtitles, would you be able to figure out what the person in the Video is saying? I know I sure wouldn’t be able toâ€ĶAnd I recognize that you seem to have a thing for Comedy & Humorâ€ĶThat said, get ready for the cheesy punâ€ĶIf you were a deaf person and all your friends kept sending you f___ing hilarious Videos BUT those Videos were 100% completely lacking in any Captioning and, thus, Inaccessible to you, well than, the joke would be on YOUâ€ĶI know some deaf people who have this happen to them A LOTâ€ĶThey’re included in E-Mail “Strings” and lots of times links to very funny Videos get included in those E-Mail “Strings” but then they can’t watch because the Videos are Inaccessible to themâ€Ķ
    .

The Following Paragraph is a Part 2/Continuation of my Original Commentâ€Ķ
      .
Question: If YOU were a deaf person and your friends kept on sending you links to Hilarious Comedy Routine Videos BUT those Videos were NOT Captioned and were, thus, Inaccessible to you, how would YOU handle the situation? What might you tell your friend(s) whom were constantly sending you links to those Inaccessible Videos? Furthermore, how would you handle the situation if you were to finally consider reaching out to the Instagrammer and inquiring about them adding Subtitles to their Videosâ€Ķonly to have the person operating that Instagram to tell you to F__K-OFF in a Reply to your Message to him/her and then, shortly thereafter, BLOCK you outright from their Instagram? And YES, this awful scenario & outcome DID, in fact, happen to someone I know who’s deafâ€Ķand it had even affected her “Mental Health” somewhat for sometime afterwards (and quite understandably so)â€ĶNeedless-To-Say: That Instagrammer’s rather insensitive response to my deaf friend’s inquiry about Accessibility most certainly didn’t help her find out what was said in the Videos on that IGTV feed (obviously)â€ĶMy 2ÂĒ on Humor & Comedy is, as I often like to say, “Humor’s Always A Good Thingâ€ĶUnless The Joke’s On You,” which basically means that if a joke comes at another person’s expense, than that’s never a good thing, and there’s quite a bit of humor that can be (and often is) hurtful, often involving someone being the butt of the jokesâ€Ķand unfortunately, there will always be the occasional rogue Comedian who will cross that line one too many times and make their jokes just a little bit too risquÃĐâ€ĶI can tell you that my super-nasally voice has served as the punchline of plenty of cruel jokes as people have teased me endlessly for my very nasally voice, often going as far as plugging their noses and mocking my voice in front of me or impersonating Steve Urkel from that “Family Matters” TV Show, asking me, “Did I Do That?” and then doing the trademark snorking laugh that Steve Urkel was always known forâ€Ķ
      .
My friend & I found & downloaded an Experimental “2.0” version of that upcoming Cell Phone App where an “Android” or “Google Pixel” Cell Phone generates Captions for ANY Video you watch (either Online OR even Offline; plus, it also works on Podcasts & LiveStreams, as well)â€Ķjust as long as the person speaking doesn’t have any Local Accents/Dialectsâ€ĶHowever, sadly, when my friend & I tested out that Cell Phone App on your Videos (via our “Android” Cell Phones), it didn’t work properly; your Accent confuses the Appâ€ĶThe App just keeps on phonetically sounding out however you pronounce the words, but meanwhile fails to “Auto-Correct” your pronunciations of all those words so that the Captions can feature the words you had actually said (as opposed to all your pronunciations of those words)â€ĶFor Example: In a recent Story Video on your Instagram, you said, “Hang On A Minute! What? Why Are You Back? Be Gone!”â€ĶBUTâ€Ķmeanwhileâ€Ķthe Captions that the Cell Phone App came up with claimed you to have said, “Hen Own Up Men At! Emâ€ĶWote! Why Are Yeah Bach! Begun!” Another perfect example is the way that many of those Free Accessibility/Captioning Apps Caption you saying “Okay” as “No Key,” LOL! They also Caption you saying “Video” as “Veddyo”â€ĶOn A More Positive Note: That App works wonderfully on American Videos, Podcasts, & LiveStreams with an Accuracy Rate that’s very close to 100%â€ĶAny time the Captions fail to go up for any particular Video on an American-based TH-cam channel, my friend & her friends can use this handy Cell Phone App, just so long as the people in the Videos, Podcasts, or LiveStreams don’t have any Local Accents/Dialectsâ€ĶIt’s an ideal tool for American TH-cam channels & Instagram pagesâ€ĶMy friend & her friends are remaining optimistic that once that Cell Phone App is TRULY released AND once IGTV’s new Auto-Generated Captioning are further improved, perhaps the App & the IGTV Auto-Generated Captioning might be equipped with “Auto-Correct” so that they will also work on people with Local Accents/Dialects as wellâ€ĶI do NOT want you to get offended by all this talk about Local Accents/Dialects; as you know, a favorite TH-camr of mine having falsely assumed that I was insulting her for her Accent is what led me to have gotten Blocked out of that channel’s Instagram pageâ€ĶAccents make things interesting and they are a part of whomever the person isâ€ĶI can still remember all those times you’ve told me that my very nasally voice is a part of who I am, so I should never be embarrassed by and/or ashamed of itâ€ĶWell, the way I see it, Accents are the same way in that they are one of the many features that make a person who they areâ€ĶIt’s just too bad that all those Free Accessibility/Captioning Apps are often very infamous for failing to work on Local Accents/Dialectsâ€Ķat least YETâ€Ķbut all in due time, technology can only improveâ€Ķso, that said, a little Optimism & Patience is never a bad thingâ€Ķbut in the meantime, at least the Auto-Generated Captions of TH-cam already are Accent/Dialect-Compatible, as of October of 2020 when “Auto-Correction” was implemented in the Auto-Generatorâ€Ķ
      .
Okay, here’s all the places in this Video where my friend got “Stuck”â€ĶMy friend E-Mailed me that she wonders what you meant at roughly 1 Minute & 50 Seconds into this Video when you said that you’re having a “Wee Cooking” and assumes that you meant that you and somebody else were cooking, such as “We’re Cooking [Tonight]”â€ĶAt roughly 5 Minutes & 15 Seconds into this Video, when you said, “In the nicest possible way, I forgot that I was walking,” did you mean that you had just returned from a walk you took outdoors? My friend said that at roughly 7 Minutes & 35 Seconds into this Video, you said that you “Can’t Rap On Camera,” Heh-Heh-Hehâ€ĶMy friend says that she wonders what you meant at rougly 7 Minutes & 45 Seconds into this Video when you said, “It’s really going to take a while to get used to these shorter buttons,” as in “Shorter Buttons” on whatâ€ĶShe also wonders what you meant at roughly 8 Minutes & 5 Seconds into this Video when you said, “I am any sauna and it needs to change”â€ĶAt the very end of this Video, my friend wonders what you meant when you said that, “They announced today that it’s happening for Xbox and 201, so PlayStation is left a little ask people to get it”â€ĶMy friend told me via E-Mail that the word, “We” is starting to be recognized as “Wee” wherever appropriate, so score 1 to the Scots for FINALLY having that darn f___ing Auto-Correct recognize their words (although, my friend also mentioned that sometimes the word, “Wee” transcribes as “Wii” in the Captions, though: Ha-Ha-Haâ€Ķ

I'm glad you enjoyed the video and sorry to hear about someone else blocking you. I'd assume that they had their reasons and would not make that decision lightly, there can be many many reasons for that so I wouldn't take it personally. Yes Baltic does mean freezing and it's 'cottage pie' I talk about.
I do still do instagram stories yes, I made the decision to change my setting on who they could be viewed by because I found the manner in which you spoke to me was extremely rude and unprovoked and so I took steps to protect myself from that kind of action.
That is a huge huge discussion for the industry and I personally wouldn't want to talk about it or offer opinion without doing the research and looking into it so I would know enough to be able to comment.
It is definitely something that needs worked on on social platforms but it seems like several are taking steps forward which is a good sign. As for people on instagram posting without captions, it's important to mention that a lot of people who use instagram as a business, be it for them as an individual or as a company, produce content for clients that is to be posted to their specific criteria so they often don't have a say in things that are included or not included so I wouldn't be so quick to judge them on things that are out of their control.

"In the nicest possible way, I forgot that I was walking" - in the nicest possible way I forgot I was vlogging
“Can’t Rap On Camera” - Can't wrap on camera
“It’s really going to take a while to get used to these shorter buttons,” - shorter bangs
“I am any sauna and it needs to change” - I'm in a sauna and it needs to change
“They announced today that it’s happening for Xbox and 201, so PlayStation is left a little ask people to get it” - They announced today that it's happening for Xbox in 2021, so Playstation is literally the last to get it.
