Very Awesome Video! I never would’ve realized that so many films out there would get your Scottish accent accurately…as FAR too many films to name keep getting my family’s Bostonian accent incorrect…Versus Mike Myers’ Shrek character (which I know love very much), the female Scottish characters that you’ve mentioned in this Video certainly do seem to be the real deal (as opposed to being a mimicked/imitated Scottish accent)…Meanwhile, my friend mentions to me that her friends-whom are 100% deaf-wish to let you know that they’re appreciative of you informing them that all those female characters you’ve mentioned in this Video DO, in fact, speak with a Scottish accent; specifically, my friend mentioned to me that her friends had told her in ASL that they had no clue that those characters spoke with a Scottish accent…My friend also mentioned to me that her friends signed out in ASL that they’re very sure you likely have a very wonderful, lovely, beautiful voice and wish they could have had a chance to hear what it sounds like (and, YES, that WAS, in fact, by all means a complement)…But with a heavy heart, I’m gonna mention to you that my friend had a particularly challenging time attempting to “Read”/Watch this Video, as she mentioned to me in an E-Mail Message earlier this afternoon (Eastern US Time Zone) that the rate of errors in the Closed-Captioning for this Video in particular (for some odd and inexplicable reason) is quite horrendous, about roughly as bad as TH-cam’s Auto-Captions typically were back during the Mid-2010’s…but I’m only informing you this in a respectful manner and can personally assure you that I’m by no means telling you this to slight you in any fashion…My friend & her friends have some other ASL-based TH-cam channels that they’re recommending you try… - 1.) “ChrissyCan'tHearYou” & 2.) “Deaf_Life_” (AND both those aforementioned d/Deaf ASL-based TH-camrs also have Instagram’s too of identical names)…All the places my friend got “Stuck” while watching this Video (due to inaccuracies in the Closed-Captioning) will be featured in Part 2 of this Comment…

You’ve requested to me in the past to refrain from re-posting Comments multiple times…so in response to that request, I’m gonna mention to you here in THIS Comment that in the final paragraph of Part 2 of my Comment on your “LOSING HIS VIRGINITY?” Video, I’d listed for you all the places my friend got “Stuck” via Closed-Captioning inaccuracies…And speaking of Closed-Captioning (or a lack of it thereof), my friend & her friends won’t be able to watch your first “Member’s Only” LiveStream Video (although they’ve at least gone up for this Video; although, my friend & I watched this Video separately, so I’ll list in the very final paragraph to this Comment the places in this Video where my friend got “Stuck” due to inaccuracies in the Closed-Captioning)…That said, for the sake of bringing the following issue to your awareness (but not to be judgmental or critical or anything), as of Friday, March 5th (a whole 3 days later), the Auto-Captions have not yet gone up for your “Member’s Only” LiveStream Video, which prompts me to urge you as tactfully as possible to double-check that the “English (Auto-Generated)” Closed-Captioning feature is enabled for your “Member’s Only” LiveStreams as well…We’ll see what happens over time with the Auto-Captions going up for your first “Member’s Only” LiveStream Video (or, possibly, not going up) but if they never go up, than my friend & her friends will have to miss out on this one, I’m afraid…I apologize for my unrestrained bluntness, but being the Up-Front type of person that I am, bluntness is just what I do, you know…I mentioned on the “Member’s Only” LiveStream Video that I’d never ever take my life, and I meant that, but I do have times when in a figurative sense a part of me dies and I just lose that enthusiasm and happiness and ability to “Enjoy Life” and I spend quite a bit of time moping about in my bed, having a difficult time finding the initiative and motivation to get out of bed; specifically, this week is one of those such times for me…I’ve just been very upset lately about that person declining my offer to help make her Videos more Accessible…It really upsets and offends me to see SO MANY Videos Online-particularly with Promotional Videos for Businesses/Companies where they Introduce their Staff and/or Sell Products-that are 100% lacking in any Transcript or Captions…The REASON why I find that so offensive has mainly to do with how inexpensive it is to provide Subtitles for Videos…It really doesn’t cost very much-$1.25 (or £1) per Minute’s-worth of Video-and the very fact that I see plenty of Promotional Videos that are literally as short as 1½-to-2 Minutes that are posted to Instagram and that are 100% lacking in any Captions…My face just tightens and I think to myself, “What the HECK is WRONG with these people?! How much does it COST to make your Videos more Accessible? Not Much!” It really upsets me…You, Kirstie, are one of the sane people whom are actually considerate of people who are either d/Deaf or Hard-Of-Hearing, but the world is full of inconsiderate people who don’t think of anybody but themselves…Please pardon me for being so agitated as I type out this Comment…I just can’t believe anybody would go all out of their way to put forth the effort to deliberately reject a free offer to provide a Transcript for their Videos…”It really makes my blood boil,” as the “Angry Video Game Nerd” might say…By-The-Way: Kirstie, have you ever heard of the “Angry Video Game Nerd”? Formerly known as the “Angry Nintendo Nerd,” the host, James Rolfe is only 9 Months apart from me in age (he was born in July of 1980 and I was born in April of 1981) and he reviews Video Games, but he seems to share your delightful sense of humor (and I say that respectfully-speaking) and his humor style might be to your liking, as he makes me laugh in a very similar fashion as you do…I’d highly-recommend you give him a try, whenever you have some spare time…Just search here in TH-cam for “Angry Video Game Nerd” and you’ll be sure to find him, starting out with his review of the “Power Glove,” as he slipped in plenty of jokes that I feel you’d truly appreciate…

Unfortunately, my friend & I were both too busy to watch this one together; therefore, she E-Mailed me after having watched it herself-a few hours after I’d watched it-so that she could inform me of all the places she got “Stuck” in this Video, due to inaccuracies in the Auto-Generated Closed-Captioning…Worth mentioning is that this list will be particularly long & staggering, because the particular difficulty my friend had following you in this Video, as the inaccuracy of the Closed-Captioning for this Video was just about as bad as it was a few years ago, before all the improvements had been implemented in TH-cam’s Auto-Generator…My friend mentioned to me in her E-Mail Message that she’d had a very difficult time “Reading”/Watching this Video…So Here Are All Of Places Where My Friend Got “Stuck” In This Video: At roughly 40 Seconds into this Video, my friend wondered what you meant by the statement, “I have no high horse that I’m writing,” as she wonders whether “Writing A High Horse” is a local expression and also added that she’s heard of “RIDING” a High Horse, just not “Writing” one…At roughly 2 Minutes & 30 or so Seconds into this Video, when you said, “Our voice is just so easy to listen to,” she assumes you meant HER voice (not ours), so it was probably an incorrect slip of the tongue on your part…At roughly 3 Minutes & 45 Seconds into this Video, when you said, “It’s not, again, it’s not stereotypical and it’s not, um, set, like, too far away from where I cannot live, which is Uranus” as in that she wonders why you feel that you’re unable to live in the part of Scotland where that character’s dialect comes from (a region called “Uranus,” apparently) and is confused, because she’s been under the impression that you really WANT TO live in Uranus (but now you’re suddenly saying that you cannot live there)…Regarding the 4-Minute mark, my friend mentioned in her E-Mail that she’s not sure what a “Uranus Bun” is and she’s asking you whether a “Uranus Bun” is a type of Breakfast Croissant that’s local to Scotland…At roughly 9 Minute & 30 Seconds into this Video, when you said that, “Particularly in the film, the relationship between her friends is just really nice,” she wonders, “The Relationship Between Her Friends & WHOM?” At roughly 9 Minutes & 40 Seconds into this Video, when you said, “Uh, it was nice to see a lead female character not fall into the fall in love with the boy, live happily ever after um, arc, not the other friend who’s wrong with that in a story,” as in she’s wondering whom that other “Friend” in that movie is (meaning that “Friend” you’re mentioning here whom doesn’t wish for her to fall in love with a boy)…Regarding the 10-Minute mark, my friend mentioned in her E-Mail that she’s not sure what a “Weed-After Conversation” is and she’s asking you whether a “Weed-After Conversation” is a type of local-to-Scotland that involves them doing naughty things (such as “Weed”)…At roughly 10 Minutes & 20 Seconds into this Video, when you said that “…if they were just making things up to sort of one-off each other…” as in that she’s unsure of what it means to “One-Off” someone…At roughly 10 Minutes & 25 Seconds into this Video, when you said, “That is five female Scottish Characters that I Love and Movies,” she wonders whether you were talking about the 5 Scottish Characters or you were talking about the 5 Scottish Movies…Regarding the 11-Minute mark, my friend mentioned in her E-Mail that she’s not sure what you meant when you said, “…um, so if that is your type of thing and it gives you a gecko, feel free to take a look,” as in she’s asking you what it means for something to give someone a “Gecko” (as a “Gecko” is a type of lizard; that said, are you trying to say that your playlists are giving people lizards? LOL!)…By-The-Way: I can assure you that this is all friendly humor, on my part, and I’m not being sarcastic in a negative fashion…

I had to sneak to watch The Prime of Miss Jean Brody when I was little My Mom (a very strict Black Southern Baptism woman) Was not happy I was grounded for a week... All time favorite.

Good shout for your choice of five. Guess which one it was that I had never heard of! Wild Rose looks interesting. I don't remember it coming to my neck of the woods when it was on general distribution, but then you haven't seen the tiny cinema in my next town. It looks like a scout hut from the outside and has just three screens, but I like the small auditoria (is that a word?) inside, and it is much more plush and comfy than you would imagine from the spartan and unprepossessing exterior. And ... you can buy a beer at the bar and drink it while you are watching the film!!!
My choice would include Agnessa Deyn who was Chris Guthrie in Sunset Song. I saw a review which panned her acting but I actually thought that her presentation was her strength. She is playing a farmer's wife and not a grand media personalitee. It is on iPlayer just now for anyone who wants to watch it. I would not have guessed but she might not qualify because she is not a Scot, she was born Laura Hollins from Manchester.

The very first movie I had seen Maggie Smith in was "Hook" as a young teenager when it came out on VHS - showing ma age there LOL. Then in The Secret Garden and then in Harry Potter. She is a phenomenal actress. Some years later I watched the movie "Keeping Mum" and it is so hilarious - I honestly recommend it. It has Rowan Atkinson in it as well (not as Mr Bean)
Kelly MacDonald as well, loved that she did Merida tae, but first movie a seen her in was obviously Trainspotting and she pulled that character off so well and I too loved her arc into T2 (because as it happens, that actually does really happen in Scotland to some people)
Ok I really love Rose Leslie - a ken this is not a movie but it is a series - long running series and she played in 2, maybe 3 seasons? Can't remember off the top of ma head. She played the ever fiery, strong and dominant Ygritte (ye just ken the writers were giving a nod to Scots as wildlings LOL) and coined the term that is used the world over now "You know nothing Jon Snow" and she pulled that English accent off, just perfectly.
Also Heather Ripley, played Jemima so great at such a young age even after being told to drop her Scottish Accent. Look it up Kirsty ;)

Karen Gillian, Is awesome. I loved her in Doctor Who. I meet her at my work. I work in a building with mostly entertainment companies . She is very quite person and very tall. She was turning up in almost everything but it took covid to slow down her career.
I would love to meet Karen. She seems so down to earth and friendly.

I actually edited out a clip where I said, my appreciation of a female character who meant a lot to me as a child has nothing to do with the issues surrounding her herself. I didn't think anyone who watches my videos would think I would support those viewpoints. I can assure you I don't. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community I would never. ❤️

Also, I remember your video a few years back, during pride month, when you said you were bisexual. I have never thought of you as a bigot; if I did I would watch and enjoy your videos as much as I have.
