    Thanks for this video. One little thing though I have the video volume turned all the way up and the sound turned all the way up on my computer to be able to hear your commands on my reformer from my laptop. I think future videos could be really improved by wearing a microphone. Also by being louder, it'd enable those of us that like working out to music to have a little. :) Anway, thanks for the burn!

    • @SaranPilates
      @SaranPilates  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    do you inhale when you push away from bar to inhale when you get close?

    • @SaranPilates
      @SaranPilates  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Donna - if you are talking about the footwork (feet on bar and pressing out), I like to play around with the breath patterns. If I want to focus on activating the legs more on the way in, I will exhale when the carriage pulls to the bar, and then vice versa if I want to focus more on the control going out.

    Hey!! I want to move more and do sports but I dislike the idea of going to the gym so my question is: Is this sport effective? Will it tone the body?
    Thank you very much, you are so kind and lovely.❤

    • @SaranPilates
      @SaranPilates  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sandra! I also hate going to the gym, and am so thankful I found Pilates! Pilates will tone your muscles big time! These exercises may seem easy when looking at them, but they demand a lot of muscle control and activation. I'm often sore the next day from a challenging Pilates workout. With the reformer machine, you work with resistance weight, making it an ideal low-impact muscle toning workout! Hope that helps :)
