I have the fatmax XL retractable, actually I have 3 of them, great knives. I have one that is polished with a black wax inlay in the handle, I ground all the casting lines down on it and modified it so the wheel doesn't lock the slide, (I prefer being able to retract or extend the blade without touching the wheel.) My second one is painted fluorescent orange for easily finding it on outdoor sites, again modified so no wheel required for retraction. The third one is still stock other than having the casting burrs removed, I might do something with it next time there is a stanley modding competition (Think I might do a black and brass look as I rarely use it anyway)
Dolphin knives are not quick to change blades 20-30 times a day . Best carpet knife out there though.

Would you say the yellow and black Stanley knives (newer style) are any good?
