The thing is I have only one 5-star client review (1 work completed on upwork so far),

Great video, i got the invite for expert vetted but ive not really done so much with my upwork, only made $3k+ with 100% JSS, i want to know if its advisable for me to apply and if i stand a chance of being approved and if i don't, do we get a refund of the connect because I'm quite skeptical about spending

Hi, I've been a freelancer in Africa on upwork for 6 years already. I received the invitation to apply for the expert-vetted badge. I am a Francophone so my oral English is not very good. I learned that there will be an interview, so I was wondering if it was possible to speak French or is it reserved only in English?

Upwork has send this notification to everyone. It's invitation to apply for the program. It's different than expert vetted program invitation itself. He has mentioned it at the start of the video.

it's an application, immense majority of people will just lose their money and time, and the end of the day, expert vetted is for top 1%

It's an investment, Martina. Unfortunately, every investment either costs money/capital, or time.

​@@vignolivoice true, it's an investment if you are buying the badge, but that is not the case, it's 300 connects to apply... Many would be denied. I also believe it's a desperate attempt from upwork to raise money. We already have the Top rated programs with different rankings... This is absolutely funny.

@@AayushTaparia They have a financial services category which isn't available for application right now but you could try the Data Science and analytics category and be close enough or just wait until they open up more categories
