I'd also recommend taking a flight with Helms Aero Service in Long Lake. Take off & land in a seaplane on Long Lake. I flew with WWII vet Mr. Helms many years ago. His sons now run the business. They can take you around the Central Adirondacks: Long Lake, Blue Mountain Lake, Blue Mountain, Adirondack Museum, and Raquette Lake. Also north to Tupper Lake and the Saranac Lakes. A great sightseeing cruise & lunch can be had with Raquette Lake Navigation on Raquette Lake.
One of the most beautiful places in the world. I have hiked its trails, gone up its mountains and camped in the woods and by the lakes and rivers many times
My father Charlie Harmon used to help Al Furneia run the Adirondack Flying Service when I was a boy. That was in the 1960s-early 70s. I remember helping Phil and Terry gas up the planes, park them. Rose would make me cheeseburgers . My father was the instructor/tow-pilot/air ambulance pilot. I loved the air shows, I would join my dad on para flights. The greatest fun was doing the fire runs with him for the State conservation. I ended up a decent co-pilot on many flights though I never got my license.
This was fantastic. I hope to catch more!
Nice FBO I havent been there since 1989 thanks for the vid.

One of the better Adirondack vids on YT- the soundtrack is a better match to the nature

Really nice areal overview of the High Peaks but why detract from it with bad insipid music?
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

👎music ruined it👎 was gonna watch it & share it.... but music ruined it👎
nothing like music to ruin an aviation video
Nothing like poor punctuation and mechanics to ruin a good sentence.
