For your keepsakes shelf, I just want to say your career is something to be really proud of and you should totally keep these things on display! You deserve a dedicated office space if you can find one and I really think it would be nice to keep these things on display to remind you how hard you've worked and how much you've achieved. You're a boss, don't forget it!
I definitely agree, she has achieved soo much throughout her career. It would be nice for her to keep her display show it off in pride 😊

Oh no! Don't paint the wood, it's so beautiful as it is! I'd just refurbish it with a good clean, sand and neutral wax. It has a wonderful old charm to it 😊

Love the wooden cabinets! I wouldn't paint them if I were you.
I involuntarily said aloud “the signed wonderstruck perfume!!!” when I saw it perched on the shelf haha. I remember you getting that and saying it would always have a place of pride
I love this content! When we are gifted large toys I rotate them. Mostly because we live in a small home so there is no space for a separate toy room. I keep out a basket of toys for her room and a larger item then pack up other things in the garage and rotate them every once in awhile. It helps to keep things fresh and less to organize/tidy up!
Don't paint the cabinets, they're beautiful! If anything, give them a sand and restain them. The wood is too pretty to be covered up by paint!
Love the way River plays with her " babies". So sweet.
I know all my beanie baby names too!! Hehe you pack them away but they still have a little spot in your heart hahaha

If you paint the cupboards then French chic paint is fantastic you can't really go wrong .. I love your room , a wing back chair in there would be really cool to sit and read together or for when your watching her play will be especially useful when you get your little rainbow so you can sit and snuggle and still spend time in there with river x Ashlee x
As for the sliding doors. Try rubbing some wax on the sliding hardware, that should make things a bit easier to open and close.

I would not change them. Try some bees wax on the runners of the cabinets. Might make things smoother opening. 🥰

I'd get the floor sanded and re-finisned and totally get all cabinets painted white.

Such beautiful cupboards - although I love painting furniture, I think in this case it would be lovely just to give these a little tlc and a bit of wax to cheer them up a bit! I am always amazed at the amount of toys children have, but feel they can never have too many books. The rug really anchors the space, and gives a cosy vibe on top of the characterful floorboards.
Love the space you've created for River! I agree, the cabinets are otherwise beautiful but for functionality may need a little touch up. Now I want to brainstorm what can be organized in my home :)
You should get a totter and tumble play mat in there, they are memory foam, wipe clean and really lovely rug designs , definitely our best play room buy.

this makes me want to sort my kids’ playroom out lol. There are sooooo many toys. I just don’t know what to do with them. No point getting rid of them as I have a 3 month old who will just get them re gifted as she grows up LOL.
You seem to have a big house, surely you have another room available for either her playroom or your office. Keep it rustic it beautiful the way it is.
There’s not really another place that would work for all her toys, this is right across from the kitchen so it’s the perfect room to use as a playroom :)

Looks great, the rug really helps liven the space up and I agree you should wait to redo the room till river is a bit older and won't just destroy it. Can you do an updated perfume collection vid and an antique/vintage jewellery collection vid please

Candle wax rubbed on the runners will help the wardrobe draws run more smoothly
I have lots of "used to be my....(insert item/space here)" as well! Four dogs later, I'm going to say they own the house! I can't imagine adding a perfect kiddo to the mix! No worries, I prefer the "lived- in" look anyway!
This room is gorgeous, the storage space is lovely! And I love the rough floor. The messy before is hilarious 😂 we have boxes of rubbish my little one likes to play with set up in every room 😂

I loved this video. I have those old door what I did to make mine open easier is to take a bar of soap and run it back and fourth on the metal runners and mine open perfectly now

Apparently Ikea one is amazing! Also Asda do some wooden ones! I’m getting one for my twins for Xmas I’m not a kids kitchen freak 🙃

Play room turned out great, well done!! I suggest making picture labels ( on containers that are freely accessible ) for children that can’t read yet so they can find and put things away easily . Rug definitely made it more homely and probably nicer for Riv to sit on too. Xxx
My mum keeps saying for me to have my 3 Huge tubs of Beanie Babies at my house for my daughter. No way she will pull the tags off 🤣

Unpopular opinion, but if you want to paint the cabinets, then paint the cabinets 😂
As a doll expert can you reccommend a good all round doll for a one year old that will last but that isn't really creepy?! I don't want it to make any noise or wee or anything. Hoping to get our little girl one for Christmas as she absolutely LOVES babies but currently hasn't got an actual doll. Thanks so much in advance! x
I always prefer the ones with a soft body and plastic face rather than the all plastic ones. To be honest, she either picks them herself or we’ve gotten hand me downs - so can’t really recommend a specific one! They always have a good selection in TK Maxx! X

Loved the clean up. Need to do the same for my kids. Just a suggestion- You could get some curtains to make it a little more decorative- some ghingam would be lovely and gender neutralS
There’s not really space for curtains the way the windows are designed, they have old fashioned wooden shutters and I wouldn’t want to cover them up!
What was the room before you lived there with the sink in it?
What did that room used to be? Why the sink?
I prefer small toys where you can store them away as they grow older. Big toys take up so much space which i always tell my family no big toys. Also prefer essentials things like clothes and things they have use of. I have a kitchen, mini car and a motor bike all from relatives. Mike is so skinny i wish i had slim legs whats your secret in getting them ☺️ This lockdown has made us eat more and less exercise really need to get back being fit.
