After having the Samsung s10plus for over a day now, there a reason a few things that not many reviewers are talking about.
1: The vibration motor is very good compared to the s9plus. It's more refined.
2: The ceramic black version looks dull in renders, but it shines like crazy and honestly looks super sleek.
3: The Samsung logo at the back of the white phone is really suttle and looks amazing.
4: Dolby Atmos seems to have gotten better with this phone than the previous?!?!?
5: The front facing camera isn't all too great. The images are always too bright and look washed out.
6: there is a feature in the camera that helps you allign pictures for a perfect shot, and I'm not talking about the 3x3 grid.
7: The phone comes with a thin plastic screen protector on. It doesn't feel like cheap plastic and doesn't ruin the quality of the screen but it's there and you can barely notice it.
8: The animations on one UI are way too slow, even slower than the iPhone. So activate developer options and reduce them to .5 instead of the 1 it is currently set to and you're done.
9: With the remapping of the Bixby button, you can now have a dedicated Camera launching button 😁.
10: The amazing lockscreen changing wallpapers you see in all of the S10 videos cannot be used by default for the home screen. Tried alot, maybe I'm wrong, but the default ones for the home screen are just plain boring but the multipack ones for the lockscreen are amazing and it would have been nice to be able to use them for the home screen too.
11: the speakers on the phone are really really good. I mean with the Dolby Atmos turned on. It does not distort and the quality of sound is amazing.
12: Phone calls don't seem to be too loud like the previous phone, even at the highest volume?!
13: Yes there is a ring of light that runs around the pill shaped camera cutout, but at the moment I've only see it activate when you enable face recognition for unlocking the phone or when you use the camera. It would have been amazing to use for notifications. Why hide the pill when you can celebrate it?
That's all for now. The phone is still amazing but I just hope Samsung figures out software updates to keep things fresh. Other than that, I finally have an Android phone I feel overtook the iPhone in build quality. That is the Samsung S10 plus black ceramic. Give it a look in person to understand what I mean.

Ceramic 100% more scratch resistant than glass as it's a different material. But there is a downside than glass, Its more brittle

@@harysviewty On the S10 or my Note 8? If you're talking about the S10 then I personally find the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor to be at a pretty reasonable spot. On my note 8, my case allows me to find my fingerprint scanner perfectly everytime and plus I've gotten used to it haha. But I do see your point though, which is why the Note/S 9 moved it to a better spot.

That could be part of it, but I think he was more referring to “filling in” which is more of a phenomenon usually related to the blind spot. Closure is seeing an object or contours when there is none there (like the Kanisza triangles)

@Daniel P Actually, iPhones also would also degrade just like an Android. It just depends on how you use it and your charging habits. IPhones are great and all, nice and clean and simplistic, but they are pretty fragile. Drop an iPhone, any iPhone except the older original iPhones, and it would get pretty damaged, although I agree with you that it's weird people think you have to be a millionaire, but again, like I said, it's usually associated with the upper class. Personally, I would choose an Android over an Apple phone right now because it has more features and better battery life. Maybe if the later iPhones get better, I would switch back. That's just me personally. I know some people like how nice and clean apple phones make things, but I usually need more battery to last me through the day.

Well.....I'm here after browsing for budget phone and discovered I can buy a renewed S10+ for the price of a budget phone.....What a weird time period this is.

1) an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
2) wi-fi 6 that has 20% longer range and is faster than the normal one
3) reverse wireless charging
4) heart rate sensor that can measure heart rate stress levels and even blood pressure.
5) wireless charging 2.0 that is an advanced version of the fast charging and keep in mind that apple has normal charging so this is faster than fast wireless charging that was already faster than normal charging.
6) can record at 4k with the front camera.
7) has an ultra wide camera.
8) has super steady that uses the ultra wide camera to get the best and steady videos possible using software (there are videos in you tube too).
9) has 12 gb of ram.
10) has 1 terabyte of storage.
11) has a SD card slot so you can expand the storage to 1.5 terabyte.
12) fast charger out of the box.
13) if you pre order the galaxy buds also come in the box.
14) has a bigger battery.
15) has a better resolution (better screen)
16) HEADPHONE JACK! (how could i forget)
17) its less heavy (160 something grams vs 200 something grams i think)
18) snapdragon 855 is almost as good in the single core benchmark as the X max but its 36% more power efficient than the older model that was already very good at handling power and by watching some videos i saw that it kept the power better than the X max.
19) can record in HDR10+.
20) better low light shots.
21) super slow motion and now up to 0.4 seconds (compared with 0.4 with normal slo mo in the x max)

Years later and my S10+ is legitimately still like new. It works amazingly and I will continue to use it for years to come. I love this phone, and it's by far the best phone I've ever owned. The technology is new enough to still be considered high tech, but it also is slightly old enough to have the FRICKIN HEADPHONE JACK, lmaoooo

I had an s9 plus and I just love how much lighter the s10 plus is also the screen looks way better, I do miss the fingerprint scranner on the back though
