Update: You can now request an appointment date for the opportunity card visa via the embassy’s website in your country (esp. Nigeria). The wait time is 1 year though.🙏🏾

You have to get the appointment at the German embassy in your country.

To add, if you can obtain 20 hours a week for any random job in Germany , you can bypass the blocked account

Where do you apply these jobs in Germany while still in your country guys? I'm guessing its very challenging securing an offer since they will prioritize guys who are already in Germany?

Someone who is 45years, can automatically be eligible under opion A, that is: their degree or professional qualitifcation is fully recognised by Germany... In this case they do not have to satisfy the 6point based system, The point based system is only required for those with degree or vocational training *recognised in their country of study* but not or partially recognised in Germany.
I believe if the person is applying for OC- they still need to have the needed points.

For now, the Nigerian embassy website has no information on the opportunity card visa but I’ll update you as I know more💕
Well explained. Please note that the Nigerian website now has a lot of information. There is a webinar to be hosted by the embassy, coming up on the 16th of this month. With regards to English procifency I saw a checklist for similar programmes were WAEC was requested. I believe the webinar will clarify this.

Opportunity Card has been added to the appointment schedule platform for Nigeria. You can apply for appointment now but the waiting time for appointment is over one year

For someone who is in Germany to write a concern letter to support an applicant who does not have money to deposit into a block account, what are documents he or he needs to render the support? I mean If one who is in Germany wants to sponsor an applicant of the program for accommodation.
Can someone who is a US military on an assignment in Germany provide a concern letter for applicant of this program in substitution of the block account or proof of funds?
The letter has to come from someone legally resident in Germany and they need to go to the foreigner office in their vicinity and apply for it.

If your sponsor is legally resident in Germany and they have the sponsorship letter for you, it should be sufficient
As an unskilled and at 55 yrs can one still apply for opportunity card?
If you took a loan from someone to fund your blocked account, and once you're in Germany, the government starts paying you the money monthly, can you pay it back to the person who lent it to you as you receive it from the government, if you don't plan to use it??

Concerning the issue of block account, will the account be opened with a bank in Germany and will the money deposited for a period of 12 months ?
The account will be opened in Germany and you have to fund the account in 3 deposits. The money will be paid back to you when you are Germany. Every month for a year

To be honest, I don't think spouses can come with kids so long as they have the opportunity card visa. At least one of them needs to change to an EU blue card for your kids to come over.

You can open a blocked account in Germany and fund it for the OC
They'll just have to trust you with that money bro, they fund your German-blocked account and then you can return monthly because they release to you a specific amount monthly.
