thanks for all of this information. i just leased a 21 sr5 premium just like this one and our sales guy here in miami was a dud. he hardly knew anything about it and only read to us what we already knew about it. it’s great to find sales people even on youtube that can explain and teach you things. thanks a lot!
Thank you for you kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I'm in Miami too. Was it North Miami Toyota?
@@Wild1995 no, worse! headquarter toyota!
@@lourdessitges Yes sad. That is Miami for you
This was extremely helpful. Thank you.
Just got mine last Saturday, I love it.
Man, I wished you lived in Virginia! Buying one tomorrow and this was incredibly helpful!
Glad I could help in someway, congratulations on the new rig!
Great video Pat, very informative. Looking fwd to purchasing a Runner from you in 2021
Nice car but I found out that there will be a redesign for 2023 model, waiting till then
Appreciate your video! Wish led headlights were on older models. Not sure if I can go with the new price tags!
LOVED IT!! I’m getting this car
👍❤ i love your Toyota 4runner sr5 2021
Hey Pat, one more question. Which 2021 4Runner models come with the two up/down buttons for the rear tailgate instead of the key? I didn't know I wanted this feature until I saw it...lol. Thanks and love the vids!
Sr5 premium or TRD premium, without the “premium” you will just have a keyed operation from the rear tailgate, still power function from drivers seat.
@@OregonCarSource Great, thanks so much.
Really hoped for adaptive headlights
Have them on my RX and can't imagine a vehicle without them now. They are fantastic. The 4Runner really lags when it comes to convenience and comfort. Love the reliability but Toyota needs to step up here with the 4Runner.
For sure! The 4 runner version of an “update” for the year is led headlights.
Hoping for a more fuel efficient non turbo charged engine and some adaptive headlights......maybe next year
Looks pretty tight inside, how tall are you?
Thank you!!
Is it reasonable to get 4k off msrp for this vehicle?
Easily. I just got $6696 off a 2021 4Runner SR5 2WD. I am, however, having to fly to DFW to get it. Vandergriff Toyota, Arlington, TX. The $129 flight is worth it, however.
I pick it up next Thursday.
@@johnmpifer do you think I could score a similar discount now?

Anything is possible. Just need to shop around. Don’t be afraid to go outside of your immediate geographical area, to look.
Does it have the third row seating? Very important
It’s is available as an option on non trd models. Some have it and some do not be sure to check with sales consultant
How is this suv for commute ?
Great overview.
Are the heated seats designed to heat the back as well?
Does this have power seats with memory settings?
Seat heaters should heat bottom and lower back, memory seat function is specific to limited trim line on 4runner. Power seat however does come standard.
@@OregonCarSource Thanks.
How about remote start?
@@Brad-RB Lol, are you going to buy one?
Thank you. We live in Portland and always here Gresham toyota is the gateway to adventure
Unless I am missing something, the only thing that changed in 2021 is the headlights.
That is correct, there are also additional new color options for 2021 but my dealership has yet to get any of those in as of yet.
Beautiful truck I love it
I hope for 2022 models they change that ugly steering wheel with the one that's in newer Prados and switch to 8 speed automatic transmission. Also it's really a shame to have manual air conditioning on a 35,000 vehicle.
I hope they never do any changes to the transmission and engine. Those are bulletproof my friend. New 8 and 10 speed are nothing but problems.
The 1GR-FE engine and Aisin A750E/F transmission are tried and true, tested and proven.
Absolutely indestructible.
I have this combo, albeit with the older, single VVT-i version of this engine, in my 2007 Tacoma, which I’ve now put 234,000 miles on, since new.
There’s an old saying - “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. And Toyota certainly goes by that philosophy.
Toyota screwed around and messed up the 2016+ Tacoma by switching to the 2GR-FKS (3.5L) and A760E/F (6-speed auto).
Neither was an improvement over the old 4.0/A750. The 3.5 doesn’t have the low-end/midrange grunt of the 4.0, and I’ve read that the A760 likes to hunt between gears.
Glad the 2021 4Runner I just made arrangements to buy next week still has the old faithful 4.0 and A750.
Also, some people, like myself, still prefer the infinite adjustability of a purely manual-control airconditioning system.
I don’t need a computer deciding which vents the air comes out of, and at what temp.
I’ll select that myself, thank you.
Less to go wrong, too.
@@johnmpifer A-men. Nothing more appealing to me than a dial to turn for colder or warmer. I hate swipes and push buttons
