There is no way an SR5 Premium should be that price without something like an XP package or something similar. That's more than a stock TRD Off Road Premium. That's ultimate price gouging!
I agree it’s high, but even the Toyota dealers don’t have 21’s on the lot, so supply and demand will determine what someone will pay! It’s available now rather then ordering it and waiting and people will pay more for it now!
Thanks for the great review. I'm seriously considering Toyota in this model over a few other possibilities. Can you say if the front passenger seat folds flat? If so, does the back seat cushion stay vertical in that position or can it fold down once the front passenger seat is down? Thanks!
is the 4WD part time or can be full time in this trim? I want to buy 4runner mostly use in pavement but camping at times. Which trim would you recommend? I want with sunroof, possible full time 4WD, heated seat, and leather seat.
There are 1999, 2001, 2004- just about any year The Toyota 4 Runner is the most awesome vehicle in SUV Truck history aside from the Ford F-150. You'll see people offering $5k to $12k for old ones- The Runner like the Tacoma are undefeated.
My TH-cam channel is all about my Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium with the Sunroof in Barcelona Red! Consider checking it out. When I purchased it a year ago it was before things got really bad with supplies so I squeaked in and stole this one from Lakeland Toyota (Florida) I’ve made it my own by modifying this ALL red color with some badging and other things to make it imo the best looking 4Runner I’ve ever seen. So far I made videos of other 4Runners and haven’t seen one I’d rather have over mine. Do I sound Bias?😂 Anyway I hate the gas mileage only 14 mpg👎👎👎 I have 25k mi now so that’s a ton of money I’ve spent in one yr for gasoline! I have fallen in love with the new 2022 civic 6speed sport touring that get 27/38 but the Honda dealer is ripping ppl off with the ole supply and demand BS and charging $5k over MSRP costing almost $40k for a civic?? So here I am stuck with a beautiful 4Runner that will last forever but cost me a fortune to drive it. Whatta a screwed up economy and time of life this world is going through. I wanted to travel the country out west to Utah-Colorado-New Mexico-Arizona etc play off road and do some over-landing but that’s impossible now. I traded a 2021 Camry I was leasing and if I’d kept it and simply purchased it at the end of the lease like everyone in America is doing now because the residual price that was set 3 years ago is much lower than anyone could hope to buy a used one for today. So yeah my 4Runner is worth it’s weight in gold right now but what could I buy if I sold it without getting ripped off. Not a single vehicle can be procured at a negotiated price below MSRP even a Hyundai 👎 I read the crooked dealers will never have large inventories again as they love this money making scheme they have going on. Selling less and making more. 👎👎 I’ll keep my 4Runner although I’ll never get to enjoy it like intended. 😎
You can certainly add parts to this 4runner! I wouldn't go through the dealer though on a used car or even new. They are going to charge so much more than buying aftermarket! The XP package I believe is just black accents and the side steps!
I can see that!! Toyota usually has a 10 year run on models before a redesign, we've seen a few refreshes for the 4runner so hopefully an overhaul is coming soon!
Long live the pre-mapped, smooth, simple, 5 speed without stupid self learning computers. Owned an auto 17 Tacoma; great truck ruined by an absolute POS trans. I'll take the few mpg hit all day.
It's actually not the transmission. Toyota kept the same differential gearing from the 2nd gen Tacoma that had the 5 speed. So the 6 speed pretty much doesnt work all the way. 6th gear is rarely used. I regeared mine with 5.29 and it solved it. th-cam.com/video/SJm73yOzc_M/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/bd0aqwB2Nko/w-d-xo.html
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Thanks for sharing. Yes, It’s probably more correct to blame Toyota’s tune and mapping. Not sure if you’re saying the regear helped it not go into 6 as often, but mine buried itself in 6th every opportunity it could, and wouldn’t let go unless I damn near floored it. That resulted in a lot of shuddering and pinging. It seemed like a tune is what a lot of people went with to remedy a lot of what I’m mentioning. Mine was a lease so it wasn’t worth further investment.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I remember whenni was 12 and the 2010-1013 4runner came out, still till this day I love toyotas, I was raised on a 07 4runner and man any time im in a toyota I feel like I'm home, any toyota, gmc or chevroletnor Ford I just feel oddly seated
My uncle just bought a 2019 TRD Pro to replace his 2015 Chevy Tahoe. To say the least, he won't have to deal with the poor reliability of American vehicle anymore.
Yeah it's not the best! If you are talking about the newer Camaro's they have 10 speeds or the 6 speed for the manual, so that would help too over the 5 speed in the 4runner!
Definitely. The xDrive30d gets 265 horsepower and 459 pound foot of torque. It does nought to sixty in 6.5 seconds and has a fuel economy of roughly 32mpg.
This is so old fashioned. A 5-speed automatic is so dated. I’d rather buy the BMW X5 xDrive30d, which has an inline six diesel and has a faster nought to sixty time.
That's one downside to the 4runner is the 5 speed! The Tacoma has a 6 so I don't know why they can't add that to this! The BMW is definitely more sporty to handle better and performance better too!
Try and drive the BMW for 20 years and 300K miles with no major mechanical issues, my money is on the old tech 5 speed 4runner! And I think the Toyota would fair pretty well off road against the BMW, and what is the cost of the BMW? Drive what you like and enjoy it, I drive a 21 TRD off road with the xp package.

I will buy this 4runner🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sweet!
I love the 2021 Toyota 4Runner, it’s very nice! I love the red, I love your shoes
Yeah man the 2021 4Runner is nice 👍🏼
@@BrosFOURRSpeed yes, I love it, can y’all do more electric cars?
They don't really perform well for our channel, so us it's not worth it unless it's something brand new like the GMC Hummer coming out!

I don't think it will fold flat like that. It'll just go straight up pretty much

I believe its part time. You can drive in 2wd, 4 Hi, and then 4 Low. 4 Hi can be used while driving normal speeds if its snowing or muddy trials.
One year ago today!! Planning to afford it!

I believe it! The market for the 4runner and Tacoma is crazy! Old models are expensive but they sell!
Great video bros 4 speed
Thanks 👍. The 4runner is such a great SUV!
I paid $42k for my SR5 premium with the sunroof march 2021.
Oh nice!. Not a bad price. My dad paid about $35k for his SR5 Premium in 2016. Crazy how these keep getting more and more
@@BrosFOURRSpeed seriously Bros I remember the 1999 limited 4x4 I bought had a MSRP of $40k. 😎
Don't know if you've seen it but the new Lotus Emira for next year looks great! Starting price of 80k.
I saw the new Lotus!! Not in person yet, but we should be able to do a review once they hit the dealers!!
Do the guidelines move when you move the steering wheel? Like the wrangler JL?
I believe so. But can't remember
Thanks for the review! In your opinion which running boards would you choose for the sr5 premium?
On our dads we did the N-Fab and we like them a lot.
Great review! Does the 4Runner have the auto start/stop feature? (I hope not)
I don't believe it does!
Can’t find one to buy…
Yeah it's tough finding a used one in todays market! New ones are even hard!
Does this model or any model 4Runner have cooled seats or is it only heated? Thanks
The Limited has heated and cooled seats with real leather

How does this compare to your fathers 2016 4Runner
Pretty much an identical vehicle. Just the screen is a bit different on his
