The script for this video was definitely written by ChatGPT

Yes, its just advertising. Not showing the lot of downsides.

I've never been in a car with auto stop start that wasn't horribly obvious about the engine shutting on and off. I'm taking the sound, the shake of the engine, and in some cases they fail entirely and you're just dead at a green light. "Advanced noise and vibration damping techniques" Only work effectively for so long, and even at their peak don't eliminate what they seek to do. These systems do not play a crucial role in the future of automobiles, and are mostly a gimmick the OEMs use for regulatory reasons

As these cars age, the stop start gimmick will become more obvious to drivers and passengers with increasing delays in restarting and the resulting vibrations. I also suspect that the added stress on the engines will shorten their longevity.

Great Bob, lets just do absolutely nothing then to mitigate feul consumption.

@maximilliancunningham6091 you either pay now in gas bill or pay later in repair bill. The best thing to mitigate fuel consumption is learning to drive economically.

Wrong. My 2021 has a great SS system. It’s a mild hybrid system that looks to be built smart and rugged. L

Start stop is shitty mechanism that doesn't help the costumer, only the car manufacturers to achive "better" emissions.
More wear is not ecological, and stop start batteries are expensive. And lets talk about how annoying it in daily driving.

Total bullshit response. The tech has gotten much better since inception.

not a fan... kill the starter motor 5 times faster and all for what? save a minimal amout of fuel that cars already use next to none of at idle anyway? its a gimmick. thats all.

too bad all auto stop at traffic lights sports cars get smoked by sports cars that do not have that feature

If every traffic light is a drag strip to you then you’re obviously a big part of the problem.
