- No surprise to anyone. we found another project to mess with today. Watch the process as we attempt to resurrect this Super M from its slumber . #farmallsuperm #project
*We do not own any of the music bits *
Well done and you can use blue lock tight as a sealer when you put the fuel bowl in
Nicely done. Sounds good. Always nice to help out a friend.👍
Cut grooves long ways in a pipe nipple and you can make a thread chaser.
That old girl lit off pretty good for having been sitting.
I’m glad that there wasn’t much wrong with it
Awesome video! We loved watching you work. See you at the show next week.
Duuuuuude, this is a fantastic video! Killer tips and tricks, lots of awesome camera shots! I love old tractors. My dad still has a 1952 Ford 8N that he bought back in the 1970s.
Thanks ! That's awesome. Those 8n tractors are fun too.
@@barnshenanigans1589 I sure wish I had an old tractor and a few acres!
We’ll done! Love those old Farmalls!
Thanks ! Same here.
Hot tip. Wixs makes filter number 33039 which after removing the flat screen in the sediment bowl, inserts in its place. This eliminates the need for a screen in the tank or an inline filter. Also toss the points in the garbage can and put an electronic ignition in.
Must be the ultra rare Super M that has the carburetor on the right side.
Good to know ! Thanks ! And yes , we agree that the points need to go away.
@@barnshenanigans1589 not that I'm opposed to points. I just think the quality of them has gotten bad. A set of points used to last for years but now they can't seem to make it to the next oil change.
Crown lift, 19 years with them Service tech and Parts 👍🏻
Excellent video Guys :) also yes Farmall tractor are old versions of International and in fuel bowl filters need be changed when dirty or 1 year old! Also points , 20 to .25 in cap also spark plugs .30 to .35 fouls gap! Champion plugs with hook plus Platinum not long threads types ! Also run 89 or higher octane gas with bottle grey of STP Total Treatment fuel injection and carb cleaner in fuel tank each time to! Also if working hard or use in Summer Season add 1 gallon Desiel on fuel tank of gas each time too! 10w30 engine oil no synthetic type too!
Great information. Thanks !
@@barnshenanigans1589 welcome help out anytime!
The sediment bowl and shut-off you removed looks like it was for a distillate fueled tractor, where you start the machine on gas from a small auxiliary tank, then switch over to distilate in the main fuel tank. If so, those bowls and valves are considerably more expensive than the one you are installing. You might hang on to it.
Great eye . Thanks for the information!
You had a properly bent fuel line till you started bending on it.
Just Subscribed. We have several tractors. Mostly Farmalls. Several are M's . We have video of a H and a 350 we are working on at our channel.
i say you guys may think this is a super m but it really not cause several things that make it not battery box wrong place and think most super m's had live hydraulic, brakes are later model 12 volt system on super m's not cnverted
The stage II had the battery box under the seat this is not a 1954 stage II, The 1954 had the live hydro The Super M's have disk brakes as this one appears to have so its a Super m
I believe the gas 400 was 12 volts , gas super m factory 6 volts. Super m diesels were factory 12 volts I’ve been told . The IH dealership I worked at became a Ford dealership ford first 12 volts were diesel only gas engines were 6 volts. Lov these old Farmall videos thanks!
@@traderjack6151 i was referring to the year of the tractor . a 54 he doesn't have yes disc brakes where on the later ones . if any it be late 52 to mid 53 year tractor serial number whould only tell that
We had one
do you have serial number tag on that tractor. and what is it. ok here an M 52 start with 290923 the super M 54 start either L51977 or F600001 a 52 Super M start with F501 so check your serial numbers you my have a earlier tractor you may have a super m but not the year you think
Good to know! Thanks! I will have to check next time I'm at that farm.
Is that tractor in your intro a fendt?
The yellow front loader is a 1975 4500 Ford 3cyl diesel
@@barnshenanigans1589 it makes sense because Fendt didn’t sell tractors in North America untill 2007 or something
