I greatly enjoyed watching this video. The most heartbreaking losses on here to me are both by Bob and young contestant Jennie. Also, I greatly remember 1:26 from its July 2, 1986 airdate.
Of course those losing horns originated on "The Price is Right". I noticed that some of these people bet it all on cards that were close to middle-ranked.
In the Disney Princess version, the Ace represents every castle like Belle’s Castle, Cinderella’s Castle, Ariel’s Castle and Aladdin’s Castle. Every variation of “Card Sharks” used different characters and designs as face cards.
I 💘 the contestants bust on the Money Cards on Card Sharks, especially when the ace pops up at the wrong time when they goofed. For example: Lower than the 👑 - No! [buzzer sounds] then the losing horns from the Price is Right came along after the buzzer.

0:05 is this lower
*And I know, I JUST KNOW, that Michael Taylor is gonna call ALL of these busts as Technical Wins. WELL, MICHAEL TAYLOR, NOT TODAY!*

Michael Taylor, if you're watching this: *NO TECHNICAL WINS!*
That King-Ace Bust is always a killer!

Really heartbreaking...especially when it's YPW (Young People's Week).
Sadly, that is ultimate poison arrow I can think of that, as Linda Kollmeyer would say, "It stings and it hurts".
Agreed; I swear she was on the verge of tears, if not actually crying.
The first bust of YPW.
Wow, they used the same losing sound effect like they do on The Price is Right as well as Double Dare (Alex Trebek).
Because it was from the same production....Mark Goodson!
Indeed it was.
Two different losing horns, though.
The Game Show SHOWOFFS (also owned by Goodson/Todman) and aired on ABC also used the TPIR/CS/DD losing horns.
No, just abridged.

0:25 double or nothing
0:53 That feeling when you're playing Hold 'Em and your opponent connects on the river.
With that losing horns from Price is Right lol
2:25 Did Bob just hit the dealer with the card?
I love the jack
You know what would have really rubbed it in for the late 80s busts? If it had read BU$T instead of BUST.
Worst if it has read OVER.
Love how they used the Price is Right fail horns. 😂 🤣 So fitting... 😂 🤣
Well, both are Goodson-Todman shows, so...
As Drew Carey sometimes says, "Cue the trombones!".
Double Dare (Trebek) employed a truncated version of the horns in the Spoilers round
I think Now You See It (Narz) sometimes used this in the Solo round.

Could you do a bust montage from BEFORE the double push rule was introduced (1978-1980)?

They use the same losing horns on The Price is Right.
They abridged them on Jim Perry's version.
They both was being produced by Mark Goodson so it was o.k.
They did! Both made by the same company as Mark Goodson.

I especially hate to see this happen to the youngsters! Don't you?
Yeah tell me about it.
I'll say.
Nothing but a poison arrow there to the heart.
Too bad the original CS didn't have a nighttime version
I think the CBS version is better considering the price is right sounds are used!!
In fact, they should've used that OVER/Strike foghorn on a bust.
