Much easier and even cheaper way . Wrap duck tape around the noodle . Let it over lap itself about a 1 1/2 inches. Tie the string in the middle of the duck tape . Pull it tight enough it cuts down into the tape a little so it doesn't slip off the tape I prefer spider wire type string . The duck type keeps the string from cutting through the noodle. I get five noodles from one stick of floaty. Can store twenty or more in kitchen tall trash bag . Just don't forget to secure it to something during transport or it will fly off if you don't . And always use circle hooks . Way better hook up rate and seldom if ever have to deal with a swallowed hook. The only purpose of the noodle is to keep sight if your line . You could use empty cola bottles for the noodle if you wanted as long as you painted it some bright color making it easy to spot . Here in Louisiana were now required to tag each noodle with our name and contact information . So check your local requirements .
So basically its like juggin. Instead of milk jugs & coke bottles. Nice. This one is better cause you have something that holds your hook when you wrap it up. Gonna do this w/my boys. Thanks
I just cut the noodles about a foot, open up a clothes hanger, fold it in half, run the ends of the clothes hanger up into the noodle then fold the ends over the top of the noodle. This creates a closed end at the opposite end of the noodle to tie my line adding a weight and hook. When a fish is on the noodle stands straight up unless it goes to the shore. In my State you can only put out 25 per licensed person. I have mine stuffed in 5 gallon buckets pull them out one at a time, pull the hook out of the noodle, bait it, throw it in the water and the weight unwraps the line. I throw mine out then go fish and watch for one to pop up or go to the shore before I check them. Those things have caught me some fish from time to time when I haven't caught anything. You're right about one thing my grand kids love just going out to noodle for fish.
Not sure I understand the point of the flyswatter. Not sold on that “cinch” knot either (I think you meant Clinch). More of an attempt at a snell knot. Look it up so you can see what you are doing wrong and then you can snell the hook properly. You kinda combined a snell with a clinch. Enjoyed watching though. Happy fishing.
Also, when snelling a hook properly you don’t even use the loop on the hook unless it’s bent on an angle which is a hook designed to be snelled. Look up snelling and practice. It’s a good skill to acquire. Also learn the Perfection Loop which is the proper loop to use with snelling to make your own leader hooks.
I think the point of the flyswatter is that it’s cheaper and easier than running a piece of PVC through the middle of that noodle and having to drill holes and such. There’s already something to attach a line to. Those fly swatters are all about the right length too.
Well Dave it’s cheap, easy and catches fish. My grandkids love making them so we will just keep on fishing and pray that whatever you choose to use works as well. Thanks for watching

I wish your spelling was as good as your math.
We bend wire hangers into small t with hook squeezed small enough to go through t on opposite end
Sounds like a great idea. Do you have a picture?
id really like to know what that stringer thing is, not having any luck searching for it
I was gonna say 🐂 💩 because of the price.....but then I realized this was filmed when Trump was president. FBJ

Which is illegal in my state ...only land lines...with ID tags.
@michaelhernandez3041 I hate that. We use limb lines also. Whatever it takes. Love getting the kids involved
Thanks for sharing this fun video.
How can I make this a slip pool noodle bobber?
How big is the biggest fish you caught with one of them. Thanks
We catch anything up to about 10 lbs is about the biggest I remember. My grandkids love them. Thanks for watching
@@datfunnyadventures1312 I have a question: is it the same thing as a jug trap? Do you have to tag them?
How to rig this to your fishing pole?
My grandkids and I make these. They love using them. They catch fish. Use it just like any other jug design. Happy fishing
You grab that noodle boy.
Excellent video and idea. Thank you.
Thank you for watching.
I use 20 once coke bottles, with crack filler foam inside, twenty four fit in a coke crate ,biggest cat I ever caught on one 54 pounds.
That is a great idea. Thanks for sharing
Be careful using them in Texas. Pay attention to the laws
How is this illegal in Texas? 12" long noodle, have personal information on jug and date set out.
@@beckydaleit varies from lake to lake...
Even in the same district
In Texas freshwater you're jug is supposed to be white in salt water it is another color
@@BrianJohnson-ih1hb not true. Can be anything but orange

This qualifies as a "fish trap"? Right?
According to DNR guidelines it's effectively the same thing as a jug trap. Right?
@seabeechief99 no, it’s more like a jug line.
How long, or deep, do you like your line to be?
We use ours on a creek that feeds a lake. I have them set at about 4 feet deep and it works great for us. Best of luck
Spray paint those black ones .
Would not use that stringer in alligator waters
I probably won’t. No gators where I’m at thank God.

You might have missed it in the end of the video, he’s catching cats successfully.

@saltydawg8988 you are correct and my kids just think it’s the coolest thing watching the Flyswatter wave around with a fish on. Thanks for watching
That was the dumist thang I have seen

The dumist thang I'm seeing is your spelling and attitude lmao
This is the worse design ive seen, been jug fishing over 30s year's
So, essentially this is a fish trap, kinda dealio, right?
Everyone to their own likes. What works for one may not work others.
