I like the snell knot for the trigger effect. Also I don’t call those circle hooks. Great demo

Great video! Very similar to the way I make my noodles. In my state, we can only use (5) at a time per licensed fisherman, so I do a few things different because the cost isn't as much of an impact. The "star" noodles have more float to them, cost a little more and harder to find. They make wrapping the line easier too. I have found that polymer knots are easier to get "tight" using braided line. I also like to do a surgeon's knot with loop on the hook leader, then I can swap out hooks fast and easy without reties. Depending on the bait I have - I change hooks about each day of fishing. On the eye-bolt, I like to attach a snap swivel of some sort - it allows for a quick depth adjustment without having to tie or wrap anything. Different color noodles help for tracking which type of bait is on the line - helping to narrow down what the fish are feeding on. One thing I really like about your setup - the line choice. Most juggers use that giant, really stiff line that is difficult to tie and really catches current. The thin line is plenty strong, easy to tie, and doesn't catch the current as much. Sorry if I rambled too much. Happy fishing!

Thanks a ton for your input! We did learn a lesson on making hooks easier to swap out. I started doing a surgeon knot for the loop on one end and a snell on the other end, the. Loop the hook though the circle which is ran through the swivel. Hope it makes sense but sure is easier!

2 liter bottle some 100 lbs test line and weights and circle hooks all you need for jugs And the weights can be pretty much anything that you can tie the string to ( that’s Reasonable).

In Missouri you have to add your name, address, phone number, and the date that you put them out on the water. I use tape for the date so I can change it out but everything else goes on with permanent marker. Less confusion on what jug belongs to who and all. Plus it’s the law here. Can’t wait to get out there and start jugging this year. Tight lines!! 🎣

Yes sir, I tried permanent marker on the foam, yeah that lasts a weekend! Started using shrink wrap tape and a market, it’s way better.

Those were khale hooks, not circle hooks. You shouldn't glue all the caps first and then put them on. PVC glue dries really quick. When gluing the cap with the eye bolt onto the pipe, spread the glue on the pipe, not inside the cap that's filled with fresh silicone. If you put a snap swivel on, instead of just a plain swivel, you can make replacement hook lines with a loop on the end. Then if a hook gets straightened out, snagged, broken off or a fish swallows one, you can quickly swap the hook line and get it back in the water. Other than that it looks like you did a good job.

not sure if it was mentioned in another comment, but on your shopping list in the description, you forgot to add in the 10, 1/2 oz egg sinkers. not sure if you can edit your description or not. might help someone if they dont rewatch the video. i luckily rewatched so i noticed it was missing. great video and jugs nonetheless. good job man!

Hey so I was hoping to see the Truman Lake fishing trip video, I’ve been trying to find a good way to set the depth when I’m setting my jug lines.
Any advice would be very appreciated.

Another question! Other than identifying your noodles do they serve any purpose and would it hurt to adhere it to the noodle itself. It looks like over time it will tear off. Just a thought. We’ve been tearing them up on Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas, need mo noodles! Also is that a #6 circle hook?

    • @thekidcansell

Yes it will. Just make sure you get the right size end caps. Also check your noodle, I bought some and the inside diameter was way to big for the pipes.
