My husband wants to offer a suggestion he uses his bucket on his tractor to push the t-post in and of course I have to hold it till he puts a little pressure on it and I move out of the way and he drives it on down, this is way quicker , He loves your site
Lol, I say this with tongue in cheek, "grammar police". I fail at English-speaking, but it sounds better to say " Rebecca and I did this, so on and so forth". Good job and I continue to learn and recall the good old day. Thanks.
The walkers family of the TH-cam channel (catching up with the Walkers) the have adopted two orphan children from the Cherokee nation! That’s a lot of children I’m sure they’d like some words of encouragement 😁
I like the way you do your fencing. It makes for a very neat and tidy fence, easy to weed under with that 2 inch clearance. Thanks for sharing your time. Y'all have a Blessed day.
I enjoy your fence building videos. I have land that will need some perimeter fencing and you do a good job showing and explaing the process. I know it's not easy working, and making videos, but we do appreciate it very much.
Evan, you and Rebecca make a good team and the fence is looking good. It is hot right now and you both be careful to not get too hot working on that fence.
I'm glad to see you moved your truck away from the wire being stretched. Years ago, I had a wire break and it went flying wildly because it had been coiled for so long.
I really admire your fence building. I don't have a need for nearly as much as you, but I can't seem to get myself to slow down enough to keep my line straight and posts the same height. You really do a nice job on camera.
Love watching and learning how others build a fence. You soil is awesome, deep with no stones. I have heavy clay and I am always hitting stones, large or small.
we have always used the front bucket on our tractor to push t post in the ground...just have someone hold it til you can get pressure on it then push away lol
I know this was a while back and you've been using the finished fence for a while. So I just thought I would watch and see the start of it and it's end results looks good. I did a lot of fencing back in the 70's and a quite a bit in the 90's and 2000's so I know how much of a chore it can be, also a lot of different approaches. Good job, thanks for sharing, hope you and Rebekah are having a nice week, take care.
I grew up on a mixed farm in Alberta CDN , I feel your fencing pain! No fencing for us in the winter other than wire repair, everything is frozen solid! It was always a summer job as we were too busy with spring field preparation and seeding, haying was really the only field work in the summer. I like your fence design and nice job , it looks great so far!
When I grew up on the farm we used to use the tractor to pull the fence tight. Put the tractor past the the last post and put the stretcher bar on the fence then pull, that way you can nail the fence to the last post without any sag and don't have to use a come-a-long.
Nice one Evan. Here in Australia your steel T posts are called Steel Pickets and in New Zealand they are called Waratahs after the company that manufactured them. Cheers and thanks for the video 👍
Looks good. I've been building fence since I was 10, but you can always learn something about anything. I've gotta build some shortly, until it's too hot. Then will wait for winter to finish.
You and Rebeka are doing a nice job Evan ... even if you are getting TIED UP in your work 😉. There's just no way to work with barbed wire and not get stuck, tangled up or cut on it I am convinced - been there, done that many times. Thanks for sharing. Looks like it will make a great pasture for the steers.
That okbrand fence is made in Madill Oklahoma and those t-post are probably made right down the road in Durant Oklahoma at our steel mill. Simi loads roll out everyday. Both places are hiring if anyone wants to move to south central Oklahoma.
When we fenced for cattle we used a 6 wire barbed wire fence and used t-posts every 10 ft using 6' posts no wood posts in between corners except did H post every 400' or 500' on a straight run but we had steel H posts and they were set 4' deep in the ground. And we used twist in stays between the t-posts to keep the separation between the strands of barb wire. Bulls are crazy when they see cows on the other side of the fence. We fenced off sections of land not small paddocks, alot of wire used. Wheat pastures for winter grazing we used electric fences single wire mainly mostly 160 acre fields of wheat. Alot of work!
Your hay has got to be close to ready to cut. I am in the process of putting up a new barnyard fence and was hoping to get it done before first cut. That’s not going to happen. Dang full time job always gets in the way of farming. Your fence looks great.
Tell ya what your fortunate or good at what your doing that the barbed wire doesn't get you more than what it does.fencing is good and tight great job. Kudos to Rebecca also.
U make amazing videos🤩. And bought of u work so hard! And it shows wrili good🤩 hope that u keep up the videos and the good work for as long as possible
Regarding the old fence line. You could set the new fence farther out ( west ?). That would save you from having to cut trees now plus you would still have the shade. Just a thought.
Helpful hint. Mark your wood reference where the post pounder is so you don’t have to take it off to line up the t-post height saves a few seconds per your post. Adds up in the end. Doing a great job
You both work so really hard, I love what you are doing with your farm! It was also really nice to hear some music you used to play over some of your older videos, good to hear that again, did you put together this music yourself in a band? Love watching your Channel !! Please keep it going!!
I wish I could borrow some of your energy. I worked on the garden for quite a few days. Started off with a cultivar and doing it every day different directions. Then came time to get rid of the sod and weeds which seem to take forever. I'm 69 years old but I love being outside. So now its planted with tomatoes which we both love and have missed eating them for 10 years since we were in Florida and now in Missouri so we could garden. If you needed many staples they do make a battery powered staple gun, a little costly though.
Evan on the older fence line would it work out better to run like a poly wire temporary fence on the front side of the trees til you would get the trees cleaned out and new permanent fence install just a idea to get steers moved sooner and you wouldn’t be rushed to clear the trees
Evan went and got all professional with his fence job... I have come to expect nothing else... My 4year old niece started watching and said "Fences again, where is the turkey"? I don't have the heart to tell her that he has a permanent Country View... We haven't had an update on the babies, how are they all?
Hey Evan and Rebecca your property looks amazing. High five 🤚🏼 😁 My suggestion for the T post is that you should invest in a T pose gas power pounder. #1 It will save your back in the long run and potentially develop a herniated disc. #2 It will be also be quicker and you can do more without being out of breath. Something to think about. Munch love to you guys. Ps did you name your baby goat Diamond 💎🤣
I'm just curious will the barbed wire hurt whatever you put there.. you work good together. It's so beautiful out there. The grass and trees are so green. It's be a great place to chill after a long day..
you reminded me of an Indian walking around that post at the end tamping it with ya fool..looked like ya was trying to do a rain dance or maybe just a post dance..lol.!
Hey guys, I just have a quick question, what is the sheep and goat fence price in your area ? I am in central Alabama and it is AR $400 if you can even find any. Last I was paying $280. Thanks, I really enjoy your videos.
We only put barbed wire on the top run .if you've ever seen a horse rip it's belly open on it you'll see why we don't put it on all three runs .but inexperienced people have to learn on Thier own at the animals expense .I guess .
My husband wants to offer a suggestion he uses his bucket on his tractor to push the t-post in and of course I have to hold it till he puts a little pressure on it and I move out of the way and he drives it on down, this is way quicker , He loves your site
That's the same approach my wife and I use on our place.
Lol, I say this with tongue in cheek, "grammar police". I fail at English-speaking, but it sounds better to say " Rebecca and I did this, so on and so forth". Good job and I continue to learn and recall the good old day. Thanks.
all of your work is very methodical/ well planned. your hard work shows, beautiful homestead❤
Definitely a job for cooler weather. We maintain our fence lines during Thanksgiving break. Cousins, nieces and nephews earn money for Christmas.
Moving right along.
God bless ... a tough job, but so glad you have such a great helper, Evan!
The walkers family of the TH-cam channel (catching up with the Walkers) the have adopted two orphan children from the Cherokee nation!

Love the new fence Evan and Reb.
Y’all really work hard. Nice to see so many things being done
I enjoy your fence building videos. I have land that will need some perimeter fencing and you do a good job showing and explaing the process. I know it's not easy working, and making videos, but we do appreciate it very much.
WOW So beautiful on your homestead! Fence looks wonderful!
Looking Good Evan and Rebecca. Not a summertime job for sure but ya gotta do what you can when you can. Stay safe around there. Fred
My friend you and Pete from just a few acres teach so well. thank you for the great video 👍🤝
Evan, you and Rebecca make a good team and the fence is looking good. It is hot right now and you both be careful to not get too hot working on that fence.
Hi guys, you sure have a beautiful place your building there. Thanks for taking us along on your journeys.
A great team of farmers who are so blessed! Call the baby goat, “Ruff”! Like a diamond in the Ruff!
You have gotten good with the
Post Hole Digger
You need a cowboy straw hat, brim to keep the sun off, straw to let the head breathe, take that from a Texan with no shade but plenty of sun.....
No Doubt that’s how we all are on top of those commercial rooftops during summer hvac times
Much easier to use the loader and down pressure to drive your posts............. but your muscles are bigger doing it the hard way
I'm glad to see you moved your truck away from the wire being stretched. Years ago, I had a wire break and it went flying wildly because it had been coiled for so long.
Hello looks great have a good night.
I really admire your fence building. I don't have a need for nearly as much as you, but I can't seem to get myself to slow down enough to keep my line straight and posts the same height. You really do a nice job on camera.
Hey 👋 yall work so hard to keep the Fram pretty and you are doing a great job thanks for sharing I enjoy watching your video. 😇👍❤✌

You guys done a lot of on the place since you bought it I enjoy watching your video
You should film more in the late afternoon, your farm looks so beautiful with the sunset in the background

I love your channel. You and your wife are an amazing team. Hard work pays off.
Looking good guys coming along love from steve c from state Oregon
Me and my husband enjoy watching your videos. You said you are having a give away of hats on one of your videos . Farming looks like hard work
Nice one Evan. Here in Australia your steel T posts are called Steel Pickets and in New Zealand they are called Waratahs after the company that manufactured them. Cheers and thanks for the video 👍
Great job on fence i build mine when the cows get out.
Great work. Wishing you luck.

When you get to clearing the old fence line leave a few trees for shade. The animals will appreciate it.
We plan to leave the big trees. Just clear the brush.
Wish I had your DIY skills.
U make amazing videos🤩. And bought of u work so hard! And it shows wrili good🤩 hope that u keep up the videos and the good work for as long as possible
Great job...! You're sure right - no fun in the heat - Thanks for sharing....
Load tractor bucket with gravel/dirt push tpost in.
Works great
Smarter not harder
Great teamwork! ❤
That will look great running along the driveway 👌🏻

We ended up puttinga mark on the pounder and a mark on the stick. So we could match them up.
What workers you and Rebekka are! Nice straight fence. I love your farm.
Nice job on the fence!!
You both work so really hard, I love what you are doing with your farm! It was also really nice to hear some music you used to play over some of your older videos, good to hear that again, did you put together this music yourself in a band? Love watching your Channel !! Please keep it going!!
I use music from the TH-cam Music library. It is free to use.
@CountryViewAcres Really you do that
How about others?
It's gonna like nice when all done. Good luck! 😊🇨🇦
Good video

Them there cows will eye and catch it rite off the bat! God Bless!

That post drill is Amazing. Can you imagine digging those holes by hand!! 🙈😰🥴
Seems to me it was this time last year when you were putting your pole barn up time goes by so fast
Living traditions has a motorized t post pounder works awesome maybe it's something you could rent it's easier on the bod. Lol especially on hot days
you might want to look into getting one of those gas power t post pounders like some of the other homesteads use
Just finished watching your videos "Home Made Portable Forge" and "Anvil From a Railroad Track". Great videos!!
LOL Wait all winter for nice weather so we can work in the heat and flies.
Evan went and got all professional with his fence job... I have come to expect nothing else...
My 4year old niece started watching and said "Fences again, where is the turkey"? I don't have the heart to tell her that he has a permanent Country View... We haven't had an update on the babies, how are they all?
Baby goats are doing g dine and the baby turkeys, all five are doing good as well.
Great job 👏
Thank you
Nice fence! Have you ever used your loader bucket to drive T posts?
Hurrah and thanks!

good job
I would suggest running a electric fence along the tree line, but with room to work on clearing.
I'm just curious will the barbed wire hurt whatever you put there.. you work good together. It's so beautiful out there. The grass and trees are so green. It's be a great place to chill after a long day..
It will only hurt if they try to go under the fence.
Wondering why the bottom strand of wire when you are using goat fence? Tks
Question, I see you don't put your posts in with concrete. can you give some detail on that?
thanks.
This looks awesome! How do you get your field fence tight? With the woven wire I have found that difficult at times.
thx for sharing ;-)
you reminded me of an Indian walking around that post at the end tamping it with ya fool..looked like ya was trying to do a rain dance or maybe just a post dance..lol.!
Why not use the downward pressure from the tractor bucket to push them into the ground !!
Hi I have a qquestion. Dont you need to fix the wooden posts with concrete?
What is the “tool” you used to carry and unspool the barbed wire?
Unless it's a corner, always tie off to the first post at the H brace, never to the farthest post. Spinning posts loosen fences.
I am not sure if the inverter has a surge arrestor for the solar panels. if not, they are easy to add.
@@CountryViewAcres Hi. Did you reply to the wrong comment?
Can you use grapples on barb wire?? I see they make them for barb wire but do you need a different tool?
Yes, you can use the same tool. I have some and have used them before.
Why didn't you use cement in post holes ?
Dirt is free. And packed back in the hole the post is held in firm. This is a common practice for farm fence.
Hey guys, I just have a quick question, what is the sheep and goat fence price in your area ? I am in central Alabama and it is AR $400 if you can even find any. Last I was paying $280. Thanks, I really enjoy your videos.
I think I paid about $350 a roll.
Common rule is you when you’re doing fence you put in six TPost and one wooden
U two work well together but I think your wife might be a little expensive sometimes when it comes to diamonds lol enjoy your day
👍👍❤
At least it’s not July!
We only put barbed wire on the top run .if you've ever seen a horse rip it's belly open on it you'll see why we don't put it on all three runs .but inexperienced people have to learn on Thier own at the animals expense .I guess .
I think Rebekah will find that Diamond if she goes behind the got for a day or 2 ..
Get rid of that post driver... ( 6:57 ) .... get the same one thats 3 feet long.........with out handles !!!!!! That thing is a hand crusher !
The one part every video hasn’t shown is the timber part ….. 😢
You really need to invest in a gas powered post driver! I spent maybe 300 bucks and i will never hand pound a t post again!
