    I'm working double overtime to afford tickets for my wife and I to attend 2020's Farm Aid. John Mellencamp is the most down to earth artist in music & my greatest influence in my own music.

    The government doesn't care! They are in the pocket of the wealthy. Thank you John mellencamp, and Willie Nelson and all who care. You are a credit to the music industry!

    John's music and his politics are awesome, was ahead of his time on his intelligent social commentary. He had some balls to say "Corporate America is taking over" and challenge the interviewwe, and talk about how politicians only care about what makes them money... way back in 1987!

      Jp whow he and Tom Petty were just becoming popular when I was in high school. Such great musicians . They were exposing the truth of the government taking more control and kicking God and our Lord Jesus out of the picture from to lead what is happening now. Not only was business farm production lost but every good manufacturer jobs from our areas in Midwest to north were sent over sea and many people lost their jobs. Sooo sad and set this whole crazy stuff we see now into place. Crazy but true. Pray all good people for each other. Amen.

      And now we can surely see how right how right he was. And when he said, "It's hard to beat up the few men who run this world"...Right again.

    John Mellencamp is right. The US Government doesn't take care of it's people nearly as well as England, Canada or many other countries do as far as health and welfare goes. It's so sad.

    It’s hard for one man to stand for something that you really believe it but you know you have to involve the people to help you with the desire that you’re trying to bring across
    One man can’t do it by himself he would be broke so his concerts raise money and he does the best he can but like you said when it’s billions of dollars and you’re only bringing in millions it’s a far cry to the reality of the issue
    I only know John cougar by his music but his music is definitely a heartbeat a few years as a person but all the words he sings about and you can clearly see he’s talking always about life people incidents joy laughter memories creating it’s always something good always gives you that great feeling basically it gives you hope
    You could be feeling really down feeling like it’s all hopeless but you listen to some of his music or songs if you just keep that strong mentality of attitude and you listen to his music because your Strank’s it’s like I can do this I could
    We’re all dreamers all of us doesn’t matter what it is we’re all dreaming about something he was able to believe in himself with his music and take his dreams far and wide with his music much respect for that
    God bless you John for all that you stand for all that you believe
    One thing for sure you never turned a blind eye you’re always tried your best to help

      He foresaw the unraveling of a society from the top down all those years ago. The US is not even in the top 30 countries now when it comes to the working class wellbeing and it used to be at the top in the 60s and 70s. Yeah, he saw down the road real good. This video was recorded long before small towns all across the mid west, south and north got blighted by corporations taking business and going to cheap labor regions. It's depressing to travel east from CA and you soon into towns and cities full of disabilities and drugs. I guess law enforcement and prisons are an industry too. Not very beautiful though.

    Why is this station so hostile toward this Farm Aid business?

  • @FRNKNSTNmusic
    @FRNKNSTNmusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Watching the intro you can see the media has for a long time had a negative spin on reality, the way a Greek tragedy would.

    • @FRNKNSTNmusic
      @FRNKNSTNmusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem with media is that it’s reflexive, so saying “drowning” in debt is self-fulfilling bc ppl don’t like supporting losing causes. “Hardworking farmers who need a little hand” would get the population to donate more bc they’ll feel like the cause will actually be successful. George Soros openly talks about reflexivity in free talks uploaded to TH-cam. This is how media moves reality and why artists and the media always fight.

      Yeah, he does resemble him a bit here but here's the thing, Charlie Manson was actually a good-looking guy in his youth but the problem is that he was overtaken by his inner demons who made him a wild eyed freak. Mellencamp is nothing like that. Mellencamp tried to help people where Charlie tried to destroy people.
