This took me a lot longer than an hour lol, about 7 taking out the trans, half hour on clutch, and about 12 hours putting back together with torquing and lining up. I reccomend to tie your steering rack up to your struts (zinging tight to the point where it feels like the tie rods are going to bend) using tie downs so the splines in the steering rack don’t disconnect from the steering column. If your rack falls out of place your going to perhaps need to get it realigned. I fortunately did not have it disconnect but have heard horror stories about it lol
Hey it’s taken me far to long to find this video I’ve been doing a engine swap on my r18 It’s taken almost a year a lot going on, this video might just save my life tho I’m putting a new exedy clutch kit on today!!
30:00 Drop the engine a little bit so that the trans goes in an ever so slight angle and clears the frame rail.... that's the hint I needed. The bolt as an alignment device is helpful too.
Nice job! Gotta love when previous techs leave out hardware! Smh. Also What a stupid setup for a cold air intake. 🙄. One puddle and that engine is done! Lol!
Thank you! I will be doing exactly the same by myself for the first time. Just one question. Were you supposed to have the flywheel resurfaced?? I heard from a mechanic that it should be either replaced or resurfaced. Thank you again
I just did this whole job and I have no pressure and can't engage and disengage the clutch. I realized my power steering is disconnected too as it stretched. Would this have anything to do with it? Do I just need to bleed the clutch?
Great job; thanks for sharing that. Q: Are all 8gen 2006-2011 civics have the same transmission? particularly hatchback 1.8l EU models with available models in the US? I noticed a difference in the filling-up bolt (with/ without sucket); please correct me if I am wrong. :|

Amazing video. I now feel confident I can change the clutch in my 8th gen si!
Yo thank you I for posting this it helped me do a whole trans swap

Would this be similar to a 06-11 Honda Civic Si? Or just base models? EX, LX, DX?
Big help. Thanks

Is this 1.8L engine? Wht there is no pilot bearing at the flywheel?
There is b ur it’s not really a bearing
Is this for base model or SI????
Why do some cars not come with pilot bearing? My pilot bearing is shot and thinking about replacing
Great job; thanks for sharing that.

What's the name of the stand tool he used to hold the frame
How long does it take to replace a clutch and flywheel?
Do you not have to bleed the clutch ?
How long did it take to complete from start to finish?
you don't resurface the flywheel?
What ring was installed inside the flywheel?
anybody did this without removing the subframe?
teacher, what was the reason for the change of clutch???? what faults did the honda civic have....
You didn't replace or resurface the flywheel?!?!
How come u didnt replace the flywheel?
One question, is this Honda Civic automatic transmission or standard?
Hi
+Reverendo Saquic Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
